April Fools' Day (sometimes called All Fools' Day ) is an annual celebration in some European and Western countries commemorated on April 1 by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes . The jokes and their victims are called April fools. People playing April Fool jokes often expose their prank by shouting " April fool " at the unfortunate victim(s). Some newspapers, magazines and other published media report fake stories, which are usually explained the next day or below the news section in smaller letters. Although popular since the 19th century, the day is not a public holiday in any country. mine goes thus: on the 31st of march 2016 I asked my best friend to dash me some cash cuz I was damn broke as in I got only 50 naira for my bank acct.. After whining and pleading he promised to send 5000 to me... I just thanked God, throughout the day I was expecting the alert but for where... I called his number till I slept off but he refuse to pick... on the 1st of April I received a text I just look at the pop up notification without really going through the message I was certain it was a bank alert not just any kind of bank alert buh credit bank alert  ... i checked my torn wallet brought out my squeezed last card enter bike to the nearest ATM...when I got there the queue was damn too long I just shouted "snake", omo line scatter I just stroll enter front con tell dem "April fool" finally I stood face to face with the ATM people where already raining insult on me, I don't give a fvck joor I was a five thousand naire or more... I typed my pin **** .. typed in the amount 5000 naira... buh the atm wrote "insufficient funds on the screen"… I was dumbfounded I checked the text OMG credit alert of 50naira... I called my guy he picked up immediately I told him what happened buh he just shouted "April fool"!!!!!!!… as I sit dey type now I don dey organise my revenge.... 188 Likes 9 Shares |

Hehehehehe... Last year April fool was fun. I spilled ketchup on my white top.. Put it in my mouth also.. Made a dramatic entrance to the living room and fell to the ground clutching my chest and choking out the ketchup.. This photo has fooled Nigerians not only in the month of April but in all other months for 3years now and will still fool Nigerians till next year. I can never be a victim but the architect. We were at work when I suddenly remembered that it was April 1st. I picked up my colleague's phone, went outside,dialed my number and rushed in to pick the imaginary call. After answering the call with a very serious voice, I told my jnr colleague that the boss wants him to bring some stuffs to a said location.(mind you, the stuff was a heavy one). The guy believed me cos his own phone was off. Out of an unusual enthusiasm to impress his boss, the boy lifted the package with swift and off he went,without considering the scorching heat of the sun. Sha, he returned darker than his original complexion, dropped the load and returned to work without saying a word. I have been skeptical of him ever since then. 70 Likes 4 Shares |

I was 17 n I wanted to spice things up in our house on dat day. Arranged Band-Aids n red ink....I splashed my neck n a part of my face with ink n used band-aid like I was an accident victim....I put egg yolk in my mouth n dirtied my clothes.....I was like mumsy go shake today... Few steps to d house...I started moaning while letting some egg yolk dribble Down my chin. I walked in on mumsy n her friend,then staggered to d floor... She yelled n ran to me with her friend a few secs after her....they grabbed me n I raised my head n shouted April fool. Called a friend of mine over and asked him to Take a bike that i would pay, he took closed to #500 bike, on getting to my house to find out that I had traveled, I just told him to Check his phone, I immediately text him 'April Fool' Later got to learn that the bike man Beat the hell outta him, had to send him like 3k for treatment later... 20 Likes |

Snake prank. Imagine you pull a prank and then it happens! My roommate then used to do bad April fools ehn. One time she told her father that his old uncle died and the man was on the way to the village before she called to tell him April fool. But this particular one, she was shouting snake snake snake in the hostel. She did not know that there was actually a snake in the hostel oh. mine was last year when I sat my parent down and told them I won 500k on bet9ja my dad started rolling on the floor and my mom was crying tears of joy calling God's name 1milliin times singing "how great you are" my dad was just walking Upandan like inspector....thjs time I was scared and didn't know how to tell them I was joking because I will be disowned. after 3days I told them it was a joke my dad told me I should get out of his house and mom started another cry again this time tears of sorrow......it took the intervention of family members to resolve the issue after a month 148 Likes 12 Shares |

I called my sister early in the morning and told her a babe I carried overnight is not waking up. Omoh, I could feel her shaking over the phone, I quickly told her it's April Fool before she had an heart attack. For the first time and only time, she called me names and cut the call on me! I later sat down and analyzed the stipudity of what I did....and concluded it's the most stupid thing I've ever done!
