I don't know if this story is true as anyone can claim to be the IPOB spokesman and put out a press release. But assuming the story is true, the headline put on this thread is misleading.

Either way, IPOB can always hold its head up high as a group that has never taken up guns, never killed anyone and has never used violence or destruction of properties outside the one caused by clash with the authorities.

Unlike, Boko Haram, Herdsmen and Niger Delta militants, all whom have taken up arms and destroyed lives and property

I think you better face reality. The test of greatness is being independent. If you cannot stand on your own, you are a slave of someone else. Igbos may have been in conquered in war, but it is to their credit that they went down fighting. Yoruba went down with no fight.
