Burning Question(scholars, Do Come In) by Thenewtruth: 12:10pm On Apr 02, 2018
Hi all, throughout this week I'll be asking burning questions. Hopefully I'll get burning answers. So let me begin.

Background : Aaron and Miriam who were siblings to Moses questioned Moses for marrying a strange woman and God later became furious with them for daring to question Moses. The following were God's judgement in Numbers 12 :9-11

So the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed. And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper. So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned

Burning Question : What was God's judgement against Aaron?

From the above, let me infer 3 things :

1. The judgment was deliberately not written to make God seems like a sexist.

2. Or the judgment was deliberately not written to make it seems that it's wrong for a woman to question a man

3. Or God is a sexist.

Up next : The Second burning question.

Burning Question : What was God's judgement against Aaron?
Aaron was spared bc he was the first high priest of Judaism.

God does as He likes, He is above reproach.

There's nothing burning about the question as it is of minimal or no consequence in anything. It simply reminds us of the complexity of the human, of God, and of the mind. Life is not all mathematics or fixed as a constant. The same actions that make you smile today may just get a perfunctory nod in some hours time. Same thing that made you annoyed because A did it, may just produce a sigh some other time or other person. God who knows all things, knows the levels of each one's cup of iniquity, knows what punishment works best for all and which is counterproductive. Three kids might do the same wrong, and get different deserving punishment keeping in mind your purpose of correction.

Aaron was spared bc he was the first high priest of Judaism.

But God was furious with both of them. But if I go by your reason, the first female prophetess of Judaism should have also been spared.

Edu3Again:

God does as He likes, He is above reproach.

If He's above reproach then He can't be partial. So someone is lying against God.

Your point would have been valid if He wasn't angry with them at the same time.

I'm guessing that you failed to read the part where I said "God who knows all things, knows the levels of each one's cup of iniquity, knows what punishment works best for all and which is counterproductive. Three kids might do the same wrong, and get different deserving punishment keeping in mind your purpose of correction."
