I can say they are Yoruba in diaspora and they are not "majority" in Brazil either. If they can appreciate their root and sell it out in the name of tourism then I don't know what is wrong with people back HOME trying to do away with the culture and heritage.

Really it's such a shame.

I really felt ashamed of we Nigerians on a particular day when I watched a documentary on these afro-Brazilians and afro-cubans and how much they fight to retain their ancestral african cultures and religion. They celebrated the African culture with so much pride and enthusiasm.

It's such a pity that we who are here in the homeland are getting rid of these cultures.
