The real question should be how many hours would x watts solar panel take to charge 200ah battery

Because its current that really determines how fast the battery charges, that means even a 40 watt panel would charge your battery, just that it would take longer .

40 watt panel gives out approx 2 Amps charging current

250 watt like the bro stated above would give approx 13 amps charging current (So this should be sufficient enough)

The whole point of my episode is, practically any solar panel would charge your battery, but the size(in watt) would determine how fast it charges

I am not all knowing, so if anyone sees any mistake in my analysis, kindly correct me respectfully, we are all here to learn .

Here we go.. A solar panel can only produce average of 3 to 4 times it's capacity..

That is 250 watts will produce 800 to 1000 watt hours..

A 12V 200AH have potential 2000watthours

It means on an average good day, 500watts will charge 1 battery from 0% that is 10.5V to 12.7V 100%

Now back to battery management, it's is recommended you only discharge to 50% that is Half, that mean you can only drain 1000watt hours from 200AH battery..

So in reality 500 watts Panel will conveniently charge 2 12V 200AH that is discharged only to 50% 12.10V there about..

1000 watts Panel to charge from 0% to 100%

See the screenshot of my harvest from a 220Watts panel. This was energy gained from 11am till 5pm,
Readings UP shows total energy gain from Solar 400watthour, currently in use below..

i have Googled this before buying my solar inverter and the best Ans I got is 400-500 watts. With 5hours of sunlight (I mean that kind of sun that will fry egg ) it will charge the battery full from 0%

Please, I have a 200ah 12v battery connected to a 150w solar panel but it's not charging it. No sign that the battery is charging on the charge controller and the inverter indicator. Someone said I need to get another 150w solar panel b4 it would charge. Does it mean one 150w solar panel can't charge a 12v 200ah battery? Can I connect a 250w solar panel with a 150w solar panel to charge the battery? Or connect two 150w panels. Urgent reply is needed please? Thanks

even 20watts solar panel will charge 200ah battery except that it would be very very slow while charging. Its either the panel is bad or your charge controller is bad or even the battery. Then to your second question, yes u can connect various panel with different wattage to charge the same battery.
