I have searched all the Brazil travel thread but I got no info..
Part of the requirement for a tourism visa is that you must have a travelling ticket, certificate of incorporation, personal bank statement etc.

She has done her online registration but she encountered difficulty when trying to pay online processing fee of $44. What should be done?


Now she has booked her flight which cost about 1900$ and she's due to travel on July 30.
Visa processing is 11 days and I am not sure this deadline can be met because she needs a certificate of incorporation. She doesn't have one because she doesn't have a company with CAC.
Please house, what can she do to fast track this process. $1900 must not waste like that ooo abeg..

It's her first trip oversea and this is definitely a bad experience..

Today is still 21 so be patient. You should hear from them this coming week and if not by Friday just try send them an email

If she is yet to submit and it takes 11 days to process then you don't need to be told that she won't make the July 30th flight. She can always change the flight date...give herself more time to get all the needed docs...or las las she go lose the $1900

I don't know how these consulate things work. Our former landlady (above 70 years) at Ajegunle wey no even fit pidgin not to talk of English was given a two year American visa. She said she told them she wanted to go see her daughter and her children. They asked her through an interpreter for how long is she gonna spend, she said if they give her 2 weeks, one or two month is ok. The consular officer said 'no no no no no too small' they stamped her a two year visa for her first time traveling outside Nigeria.

If they do interview then she will need a translator. If she hasn't submitted, how do you know they won't allow you to go in with her? If they refuse you to enter with her, tell them that she will need a translator for her interview; it is now left for them to decide if they should provide one for her or if you should provide.

Please do not use someone's CAC for her, don't make that mistake. It is not everything stated as requirements you must provide if is not applicable to you. CAC is not applicable to her because her business is not registered. It is better to state she is into A and B business but the business has not been registered but if the business does not bring huge money then she should state that is a home maker and also into small business to support her family.

If she is coming on Monday to submit then it means you will have to change date on the flight ticket so she can still use it but make sure you state inside the cover letter that her ticket has been paid for in full and would appreciate if the necessary assistance is rendered to her so she can still travel with the ticket.

I think it takes 21 working days not 11days but it might take 3 days or a day if the embassy want it.

Will an interview be held for her the same day she goes to submit these documents?

That's like shopping for baby clothes a day after having unprotected s*ex.
First the rush, now the panick. May God avert any loss.
Wish her a safe trip and vac.

Is it a refundable ticket?

Since her visa was not already processed, the best thing was for her to book a "fully-refundable ticket". It usually cost a bit higher but at least it's better than loosing the whole fare if she doesn't meet the departure.

Well, she should check the refund policies of the airline. Some airlines stop admiting refunds 24 hours to departure

Why was a flight booked without a visa? Better start enquiring about refund policies...

Some airlines give you 48 hrs to reschedule your flight but its gonna cost you. Look into that option and see what's up

The disgrace meted out to Nigerians travelling abroad is too much and embarrassing...
My friend even had to run a medical test all in the quest for a UK visa... While their people comes as they like into Nigeria... We are a laughing stock among the comity of nations ..

Your mother should have known best, she doesn't need to purchase airline tickets before issuance of visa, what the embassy wants was only a reservation..Invariably, if she got denied, she might lost 60 percent of the total ticket money, and that is subject to the categories of the ticket purchased..some tickets doesn't allow for refund

You can reschedule the flight for lets says 2 to 3 weeks.

If you feel she can get visa unless just start applying for refund if the ticket is refundable

If she gets upto to 50% of that money, she is lucky

You don't book a flight till you r very sure of your visa except on a case where you r too sure. Two things to happen, she can get her money back but not completely if she void the ticket before d departure date.
