The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, on Sunday denied involvement in the political intrigues at the National Assembly. Sunday Vanguard online reports that the NNPC denied financing the planned impeachment of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki.
In a statement in Abuja on Sunday, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of NNPC, Mr Ndu Ughamadu saud the Group Managing Director, Mr Maikanti Baru had nothing to do with the reports trending that Baru had given out money to effect the impeachment of Saraki.
Ughamadu said further, 'The report is not only false but also an affront on the verifiable reforms in the operations of the cooperation under Baru...'

Honestly speaking, the issue of impeaching Saraki is overhyped. Except Saraki steps aside, it is not going to be easy to ger two third of the Senators to impeach him.

leave this saraki of a man alone, he can not do worse in the remaining one year than he has done in the past three years
