It means bad things may happen, but God assures of His presence and comfort when such happens.

Our God doesn't say we won't die, that will be a lie, because He told Adam and Eve that they would "surely die" if they disobeyed, which they did. Evil, sickness and death is the order of this world because of sin.

However, God promises His people that He will be with them in this life no matter the circumstances. Even better, He promises them of eternity in Heaven.

To a Christian, what happens in this life is so little as to be of no consequence, as long as one makes it to Heaven.

No man can protect you at all times. God can, but, like a wise parent who doesn't wish to spoil a child, He allows things to happen to test and strengthen.

Which parent would you say is wiser between one who made his son study hard to pass and the one who let his son party all day and night and join cults only to pay for expo/mercenaries?

Look at those people in a burnt church building and tell me it means nothing.

I don't think we are losing sleep. My only concern is that christians and muslims in this country will keep us as a third world country till thy kingdom come. My prayer is that religion should be eradicated so we can move forward as a nation.

China knows the implication, if they allow such religions to flourish in their country, hence the recent spates of clamping down on them.

Even Rwanda that is improving their economy in leaps and bounds as of recent, know the wisdom in keeping religion to a minimum, hence the government directive to close thousands of churches.
