One of the most interesting movies on Netflix- La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) has the Nigerian One Hundred Naira note in its opening montage. You can clearly see Obafemi Awolowo's N100 face at 00:48- 00:50.
The producers must have a reason why they have chosen the Naira for the montage instead for example of the Spanish Pesos.

I felt quite proud though seeing the Naira note shown in the montage.

OP, don't get carried away by this meaningless gesture from netflix. The montage is featured in a netflix Spanish Language series about fraud called La casa de papel (Money Heist).

The only reason the 100 naira note appears, is to represent Nigeria as the hub of financial scams in Africa.

Thank God they didn't show the dirty bill. Its the dirtiest we have in Nigeria.

The Printing and Minting corporation should do something about how worn out and dirty our 100 dollar bills are.

So now things like this should make us dance for joy? Nigerians will never stop celebrating mediocrity!
But then it's no surprise since that's the 4th worst performing currency in the world and that amount isn't even up to a dollar.

Abeg someone should tell me how much this will be in $$$

They are just trying to show how our money has gone viral due to looted funds. This is nothing to be proud about.

Are you sure that currency will ever be reprinted or the are still angry that GEJ insulted them by removing Arabic inscriptions which have never been part of the languages spoken in Nigeria.

Mods pls correct it. The photo of Obafemi Awolowo appears not the 100 naira note. You can’t see the one hundred naira or anything there. Just the picture of a great man.
