i can only support this if its a private school.

but even at that, they will force christians to wear hijab or cover their hair by force at any government parastatals in the north. even in secondary schools, christians are forced to cover there hair against their wish. you can imagine christians not having break during easther period.

i have a lecturer who stipulated it as a rule that all hair must be covered in his class regardless of your religion. i made sure his idiotic brain was dragged to the school authorities by simply not complying.

but as i said, i can only support this if its a private school.

And is Isolo grammar school a christian or private school?

These hijab thing is taking it too far. The more they preach that Islam is about peace the more they act otherwise. Do they wear hijab all through at home? What has religion got to do with secular govt schools? Should we wear our traditional Regalia to scholl?

The Lagos state government is yet to issue an ethical dress code guideline based on that appeal and I think they are preparing to appeal to the supreme court.

Government schools are supposed to be secular schools unless they were mission schools before taking over. They can wear hijab in their houses or to the market. The schools should have a uniform I dunno where and how Hijab is part of a uniform.

Until the court decides, any religion can wear what their faith advise them to wear in public.

Some christians go to school with rosary and other "christian related materials".

This issue is very simple, the students should be allowed to wear their hijab since there is a subsisting and valid Appeal Court Judgment allowing hijab. I understand the view of the principal as I don’t like the fact that Muslims will want to put on hijab in a school funded with the tax dollars of Christians, Muslims and traditionalists. I personally wouldn’t want my children in a class with any girl putting on hijab, it is a security issue given the actions of terrorists professing Islam but what can we do when the Muslims insist on putting on the head scarf?

In the circumstance, I would advice Christian parents who are worried about the safety of their kids to save hard and try and enrol their kids in strictly Christian or secular schools where hijab will be prohibited. That is what I do if I were a parent. For now, muslims are allowed by law to put on their heads scarfs. We should move on to other things and not give that terrorist organization called MURIC the sounding board to espouse their fundamentalist BS!

This issue should be resolved fast and not used by bigots to garner sympathy and votes from their base.

STFU pls.

Haba, must you always post nonsense all the time?

What if C and S students demand to wear their white prayer gown Caps or traditionalist should demand to wear Masquerade costume to school would they support it in all honesty ? uniform should be uniform.

And did the bible ask any christian to wear white garment anywhere? Compare apple for apple.

Tell me where in the bible christians were commanded to wear white garment or whatever both in public and private like that of the muslims.

I am being practical and logical here.

Don’t mind that one, let him be writing rubbish. Since when has hijab being a part of formal school dressing in public schools? That’s how they raise dust with religion. Imagine Christain students dressing to school in choir ropes? Religion is not about how you dress but about the lifestyle you portray.
