It has been said over and over again that the money stolen by the political class since 1960 till date, is more than enough to turn the whole of Nigeria into Dubai, Singapore, Paris and Rome, ten times and over. Money meant for the construction of roads and bridges for ease of transport; for the construction of monuments to preserve our history; for the building of world class schools to educate and nurture Nigeria's future leaders and inventors; the building of hospitals to care for the sick; to develop our infrastructure and produce power to light our streets and homes, have been shared by a few treacherous prodigals.

Is this the first time elections are declared inconclusive? Even elections APC was leading was also declared inconclusive. Its there in the electoral act. Saraki who should know better as the very arm of govt that gave life to the act should not come here n play politics. The act says if the margin between the top two is less than cancelled votes, its inconclusive. Any of the parties stand a chance of winning if the cancelled votes are recast. The aim of the act is to make sure politicians don't go and commit electoral offences in their opponent strongholds just in order to invalidate votes there and claim victory. Fair to all to me. Stop whining and go prepare for the rerun.

What ever goes up must come down. You've been up for too long and now feeling like a God. You will cry cuz the gods have clipped your wings and there is only one natural thing left for you to do, Fall down. Power has long left your shoulders. You understood this and that is why you have done all you've done to stay close to the corridors of power. Maybe she can fall on you again but no you already saw it and that's why you struggle now. Let the Generals you've created take your place while you retire. It's an advice I know you won't take bcux your mind has been poisoned by the obsessions of being in power till you die. If Ambode knows what he wields you would voluntarily go home. Power has found a new home and a new shoulder to rest on and you know deep down he is your greatest nemesis. One good thing about life is everything living has a nemesis. Power found Saraki and that is because they understand what they need from each other. You sealed your faith the day you took that award. You lost it. It found another

One cannot but wonder whether if places were reversed, and the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was the one leading in the election, if INEC would have taken the same decision that it has taken now.

At this point, it is necessary to also call on INEC to display courage, boldness, independence, neutrality and patriotism so as to send signals to the world at large that the Nigerian electoral system has come of age and that our democracy has matured.

The electoral body needs to re-assure all and sundry that the 2019 election and other elections will be free of manipulations and undue interference.

INEC did not handle this issue well at all!

They just proofed to the whole world that they are in APC camp and that portends danger for our democracy. This simply means that they cannot be trusted!

And if they cannot be trusted, how can they conduct 2019 elections

In 2015 Kogi.

Abubakar Audu (APC) - 240,867
PDP - 199,514 votes.
Margin of 41,353 votes in APC's favour.

Result: Inconclusive.

Rerun fixed because 49,953 cancelled votes > 41,353 votes advantage.

You know the laws, quit being a fraudulent nuisance, the law is not partisan.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Saturday’s governorship election in Kogi state inconclusive.

According to results declared by the Returning Officer, Emmanuel Kucha (Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi), Abubakar Audu of the All Progressives Congress scored 240,867 while Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party garnered 199,514 votes.

Mr. Kucha said the margin of votes between Messrs Audu and Wada is 41,353. And that the election was inconclusive because the total number of registered voters in 91 polling units, in 18 local government areas, where election was cancelled is 49,953.

INEC declared an election with a margin of 41K inconclusive. How is it unfair for a margin of less than 500 votes?
