I've completed the EOI but not submitted yet.
Try another device or browser if you are having issues...thats what worked for me.

....also it may not work well on smart phones

Not interested.. Just checking to see how it went.
Je ne peux pas parler français bien, donc je veux habiter une province anglophone.
Bonne chance

There is one in Nov but think it's full in AF Lagos. It seems TEF is getting popular...pls register for the next year as soon as you can...they have limited slots....not more than 50 i think.....not like the BC guys for IETLS

Thank you. I was there today. All the slots for this year are booked. Next available slot is the last week in January.

Do you have any contact person that I can call to register at the PH center please. I thought the test could only be taken at the Lagos center

Better chance registering in AF PH or elsewhere. October is full booked. Nov was remaining 3 slots 3 weeks ago. I hear December is filling up quite fast. [/quote]

thank you very much etrange for starting this thread, i stumbled on this page from google search, whilst looking for TEF details.im also hoping to improve my CRS score with french.
pls educate me, do i need to get CLB 7 in french in other to get the 30 points for other languages? or CLB 4 is ok to get the 30 points?

Thanks alot...
Re: All TEF Candidates For Canada Immigration, Let's Meet Here! by njbybrthnly: 4:10pm On Sep 25, 2018
You are welcome in our midst...

sadly you need CLB 7 in order to get the 30 points and you need at least CLB 5 to even get any point. Go through the previous pages...this topic has been discussed already...you'll also find other helpful tips to pass the test

Dear, if you can speak French, it is your best bet! Use it to your advantage. A lot of people out there wish they could speak French today and would gladly step into your shoes if given the chance. January is not too far away. Sers-toi de ta connaissance. Que ta competence t'ammenne au Canada. Bonne chance.

My name is etrange(strange) and not estrange grin

I don't know how to speak it...I don't even know how to twist my tongue around the basic words. I think I'm bad with languages even though I love languages.

I understand how you feel...but I feel if you want it badly enough and give it your all you can do it...you can attend classes at Alliance Française, or self study and there are lots of online communities to support you...this one included

Only you can decide if you will be ready for the exam in Jan...Study the materials front to back and inside out to know exactly what is required to pass the exam, then assess yourself to know if you can get CLB 7 by then. My motto is to never say never. Anything is possible if you can put in the work.

Hey, bro/sis,

do you think i can learn french in 8 months and pass it. I called Alliance Française and was told that i can learn french in 2 years if I hope to pass the TEF exam. that killed my drive to learn it then.

I need 12 points , can I learn this French within 8 months? your sincere opinion needed. Do people pass the TEF exams?

YES! you would be amazed what you can do in 8 months...i Started learning French in 2014...passed the DELF B2 in 2015. Everything via self study (the first time I sat in an alliance Français class was when I took the exam)
My French still needs plenty of work but from the way the TEF exam is structured...You CAN get a healthy number of points from it. So keep going!

My dear, the ball is in your court. Learning french from scratch is not easy but it's definitely doable if and only if you can put in the work. Check @mariah203's posts...I believe they have a faster curriculum at Alliance Française.

I'm yet to write the test o...I'm even trying to boost my morale sef...I dey fear die (who send me message) but I know I've made a lot of progress from when I first started. And yes people do pass the test, I met a lady who did. You can also check canadavisa forum for other people's experience. Again go through the previous pages, some people have shared their experience here.

I recommend Michel Thomas "Learning French". It will help you get a good grasp very quickly and will boost your confidence. (Start from "Foundation", then go through Advanced, then Language builder, then finally the Vocabulary course) You can finish everything in weeks.

Then I recommend taking a look at www.Frenchpod101.com It has classes from Absolute Beginner to Advanced. They offer everything in their library fo free for 7 days (Tip: download what you can within this period)

There is no curriculum for the TEF well because it only measures your level at the time of testing.

Ok thank you for creating this page. I think it will be super helpful and useful.

I will be on this thread to help our intending francophones FOR FREE wherever and whenever they need help with French.

To my background- I never had any knowledge of French language till got to the uni, I searched for an admission and the course I was given to study was French language, at a point I hated it but after my 1st year I didn't have a choice but to love the situation I found myself. I aced all my courses till I left uni but I couldn't communicate fluently as we only read to pass in school. (Naija style now).
After Bachelors, I decided to take a step further by doing my masters in France, this helped my spoken French in a space of 3 months. I spent 3 and half years now French and I must say with all humility that my French language is a little above level C1.
I currently work as a French sales coordinator, I'm in charge of our sales in the francophones region.

Although I am yet to write the TEFexams✍️, I am looking at January slot.

Please feel free to message if you think you need help with French and I will respond to you.

Sorry to bore you with my history

Strange. I got an email with the soft copy of the results and was told to come to AF at a later date for the signed certificate, which I did about a month later or so.
