Let one's "character" speak...and not words.

May we, professed Christians, understand that the only thing we can ultimately take to our grave is our "character". May we strive to have Godly characters by His grace.

As our "character" journey continues, may we strive to allow God to mold, shape and fit us to stand with Him in these last days.

P.S. Feel free to insert "woman" in place of "man" if necessary.

Food for thought as we continue undergoing "heart transformations".

So I want to "switch gears" for a moment due to a nice thread I saw a day or so ago dealing with how the enemy gains victory through the mind and our crucial need to guard what pours into it.
As I guess some of you may know, I love (in addition to scripture), spiritual quotations that are based off of scripture.
Ephesians 6: 10-18 sums it up well.
May we always remember that we need to not only pray for victory for each other, but also for those whom the enemy is using and holding captive.

Mobilia,

You actually did a good job with this thread. It is true, our character and attitude are the main area. Our mind and what feed it with matters so much. We need to guard it. But the truth is that it is hard. I know you agree with me. At times, we can lose it too. We get really angry. But we must try to not close the door finally. Well, I also know that we may speak passionately about some issues, and when moral and ethics are involved, we may go too far while defending it. So, our uterances might be questioned during these periods.

Personally, I have been on some occassions, and not necessary that I target some individuals. Like I was talking on a topic very sensitive recently. And a friend who shared a secret with me along the sensitive topic got to know about my comments. I was shattered because the fellow felt I deliberately used the occassion to castigate the fellow. In fact, I have no defence. When we argue, one person always come down for the other. And not that anyone wins, but just to calm the situation. And I enjoy the friendship because we both know we understand each other. At times, we deiberately want to win. And we over do it. But when anyone cannot take it, the fellow might yell. And then, we know it is time to stop. And when we discuss, it is always wonderful.

But how do I explain to this person that the sensitive talk was not directed to the fellow? Even the fellow was not there when the discussion took place. And no reference was made. But I think we fail to recognise that when we are accepted, our responsibility is more. And loyalty might mean I should not even go into such discussion for a reasonanble length of period cos I know a friend shared the pain carried for many years along the line. So, you see, if the person will write about me, my character will be questioned. But really, it was not my intention.

I made up my mind to approach the person. And I hope the fellow sees my intention. Honestly, it was not directed towards the person.

So, in this situation, you can see that it is tight. If I found favor in with my president and chief commander of armed forces, I would ask him for a sincere apology note for the person. Since. I know you understand what character is with what you writren here, perhaps I could send you to the person too with an apology note. Thanks for this thread.

Yeah...I kinda saw some other posts. There is one particular I have something to say about (good stuff) I sent u a private mail. Kindly get in touch.

Thanks!

Thank you kindly for this reply. I totally get you.
Thank you for being patient with me replying in the future.. Uninterrupted "quiet" time right now.....
Yes, this long and sometimes painful and joyous journey all winds down to our "character" development through Christ and how He wants to change our hearts to represent Him.

Lovely response.

Quiet time, they say is the right way to approach God and get extremely close to Him. It is good to hear you do it. Hmmm! This journey might be long and sometimes painful, but you said it too, can be joyous. I think less of myself many times to put smiles in the face of the needy gives me joy. Not all about me.

Again, we may choose to worship together in a common fellowship instead of quiet time. We do not know all things. And what might give us trouble in the future which we do not know, might be identified easily in the meetings. Also, what might take us many months to figure out, or what might put us in troubles might be addressed. Like help from outside. I know that at times a colleague might go out of his/her way to ask for fellowship. In such case, I would definitely take the opportunity. Like when a friend asked another for the opportunity to learn speaking appropriately in a gathering of a set of people with good number of population from the friend. Like open group. And then the friend promised to assist. But this time, the friend who wanted to help called for a fellowship because the person who did not know how to communicate well had dropped a particulary hint in the open group communication channels which can lead to him/her. And it should be quickly removed because some brats can take advantage of it. It was dropped very recently. The issue is that the friend kept to his/her word to look after the person who is inexperienced. Many things can be solved, and numerous help we can get together. Iron sharpens iron.

Hi folks,
More "warfare" reminders for when un-provoked "attacks" emerge unexpectedly .....
Have faith and be encouraged!
P.S. Excuse the pic of the enemy....I'm quite sure he doesn't look nor has ever looked like that. For illustration purposes only.
