TOPIC: FOUR COUNSELS FOR KINGDOM WEALTH.
PROVERBS 9:8-12.


1. Increase your income.

Two ways to increase your income are to get more jobs or increase the streams of inflow into your life. When the increase of God begins to come, don’t spend your increase; use your increase to clear your debt because existing debt will function like a leaking hole that doesn’t let you plan. Don’t buy anything on credit; but if ever, let it be something tangible that will generate income later.

2. Don’t be an executive in your approach to finances

Beware of an executive spirit. Receiving an official car at work shouldn’t make you assume you have a car. Don’t take a loan to keep up an executive appearance. To be genuinely wealthy, you need to be an entrepreneur. Don’t fall prey to salespeople who say “buy it now and pay at the end of the month,” they will sabotage your financial planning and invite the spirit of debt.

3. Reduce your spending.

When you are coming out of debt, first STOP ALL SPENDING and then reduce spending when you have cleared the debt. Practice the law of accumulation ‘little by little’, until you get there.

4. Prosper at your level.

Your greatest problem starts when you are trying to prosper at another person’s level. Find your financial level and prosper there. There is a time when you shouldn’t feel embarrassed wearing fairly-used clothing or accepting fairly-used furniture from good relatives that you can vouch for their spiritual leanings.


PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from a heart of folly leading me to poverty; and deliver me from the spirit of debt in Jesus’ name, Amen.

WISDOM FOR A DEBT-FREE WEDDING CEREMONY
LUKE 14:28-32

 

Regardless of what you are spending money on, always investigate the expenses required to sustain what you are starting. Wedding ceremonies are becoming a source of debt for many, and it ought not to be so. You or someone close to you will need this truth soon.
 

You don’t have to do an expensive wedding ceremony because wedding is different from marriage. Ensure you are not in debt after the wedding night because that is when the marriage begins. Marriage is an obligation the families owe you for being a good member of the family. Whether you know it or not, your family members will not want you to be put to shame on your wedding day. If your parents go into debt, there is no shame in it because it is an obligation they owe you, but it is folly for you to go into debt for your wedding. If your family cannot do it, then do what you can afford. 
 

Your wedding is one of the many seasons of harvest in your life. Don’t spend all that loved ones give you at this time. For example, if five people want to pay for your wedding cake, collect the money with gratitude. Then find a friend who is talented in baking cakes to bake your wedding cake as an obligation of friendship. Then save the excess money in an account for life after wedding. Enter your marriage in the blue and not in red –signifying debt. I don’t see any wisdom in you going into debt.
 

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the wisdom for a debt-free marriage for me and all friends and family members about to wed in Jesus’ name, Amen!

TOPIC: BALANCE THE SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL SIDES OF WEALTH
MATTHEW 23:23

There are two sides to righteous, kingdom wealth namely: the spiritual and the natural side. Every Christian that wants to succeed financially must work both sides equally well.

On the spiritual side you find:

1. *Seed and sowing*
2. *The anointing*
3. *The Holy Spirit:* The Holy Spirit is the highest form of wealth. If you build a positive relationship with the Holy Spirit, He will begin to guide you and direct you to the things that are peculiar to you for you to get wealthy.

On the physical side you find:

1. *The best natural wisdom:* This will come either by your personal study or when you employ somebody. However, good books that cut the Holy Spirit out of your wealth strategy will get you into trouble. Once the Holy Ghost has led you into where God has reserved wealth for you, then make use of all the information available in your generation.
2. *Good relationships:* Build good relationships because positive relationships will enhance your future financially, spiritually and in every other way.
3. *Work. Work. Work:* Don’t be lazy because the hand of the diligent will always bear rule.
4. *Establish a savings scheme:* The spirit of poverty works with how much you spend while the spirit of prosperity works with how much you save. When you spend money daily without saving money daily, the spirit of poverty is already ahead in operation in your affairs. To break that yoke, you must save as you spend, either by changing how you spend or how you save.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from every habit and practice that is empowering the spirit of poverty in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen!

GENESIS 41:34-36, 53-57

You won’t know how heavy the rainfall is unless you have a tank to trap the rain. In the same vein, without a savings account, you won’t know how much God has blessed you. The devil steals your harvest when you say there’s not enough to save. Here are a few important savings accounts you should have:

*1. Targeted savings account:* Here, you are denying yourself for a particular reason. A good target is saving towards building your house. Graduates can save towards professional examinations.

*2. Rainy day account:* With this account, you are to have a savings balance equal to 6 months’ worth of your current salary if anything tampers with your work.

*3. Joseph’s account:* God showed me the Joseph’s account in 1992; save 20 percent of your earnings and you don’t touch it for 7 years. If you are faithful with your Joseph account, God can bring an opportunity for you to buy a house worth 7 million naira for 2 million.

*4. Gathering the crumbs account:* All those small lose change hanging around in your house. Gather the crumbs because there is plenty of wealth in fragments.

*5. Kids Savings Scheme:* This is to activate the operation of the spirit of prosperity upon your children by getting them involved in saving. Motivate them by promising to double every naira they save. Teach them to read their Bible when they wake up in the morning and meditate on their Bible and check their passbook before bed at night.

*PRAYER:* Lord, deliver me from every form of financial indiscipline making me to despise the truths about saving in Jesus’ name, Amen!

These are ten powerful keys that will set you on a personal journey of kingdom wealth if you would incorporate them into your daily practices.

*1. Verbal confidence.* Break every yoke of intimidation and inferiority in yourself.

*2. Self-discipline.*

*3. Strategic savings.* Remember, the spirit of poverty works with how much you spend while the spirit of prosperity works with how much you save.”

*4. Strategic sowing and kingdom partnership.* Find a genuine ministry that you can partner with their assignment and this way, you partake of God’s covenant upon such a ministry.

*5. Due diligence and attention to details.*

*6. Eyes that see what others overlook.* This is one of the elements of a financial anointing and you should pray for eyes that see what others overlook.

*7. Increased sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.* The Holy Spirit is ready to show you where He has kept your wealth, wait on Him in prayer.

*8. Recognizing your seed, your seed time and your ground.*

*9. Divine location.* The ravens met Elijah at the brook God sent him. The widow woman was waiting for him where God sent him to. Divine provision is waiting for you in the place of divine location.

*10. The principle of honour:* What and who you choose to honour will determine the blessings that flow in your direction. Someone said “dishonour is the seed for loss.” You can get through humility and honouring the right person what you can never get through a formal education. Learn to imbibe honour. Young professionals need this counsel more.

TOPIC: CASH IS THE LOWEST FORM OF WEALTH
1 TIMOTHY 6:17-19, MATTHEW 19:21-26

There are some wealth forms and wealth channels that the Bible speaks about. Knowing them will help you to know what to pursue. Wealth forms refer to different forms in which wealth exists. For example, energy exists in various forms: electrical, mechanical, chemical, sound, solar, heat, light, nuclear and so on. People understand the different forms of energy and take advantage of them.

However, majority of human beings only deal with one wealth form i.e. cash. Since cash is the only form of wealth most people know because that is what they were taught and grew up relating with, they end up as strugglers in life. If the only form of wealth you understand is cash, you are already in financial struggle. Cash is one of the forms of wealth but it is the lowest form of wealth. When people say someone is a wealthy man, they usually think in terms of how much cash the person has. If cash is the only form of wealth you know, it will be the only wealth form you will respect and pursue.

In the ladder of wealth forms, cash is at the bottom rung while other wealth forms are higher. In life, the norm is that the higher commands the lower. Likewise, every higher form of wealth will command and control the lower form and as a result, cash is the errand boy of all the other forms of wealth. When people hear ‘money’, they go crazy. If money is all you have, you are not very wealthy- you are really a poor man. In the coming days, I will be showing you other forms of wealth.

PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes to see the other wealth provisions you have made available for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Education is a form of wealth because the kind and quality of education you have will in the long run affect your ability to access cash and wealth. It will affect your ability to interact effectively in life. Whenever a society despises a professor and respects uneducated men because of their money, that society respects money more than education and it will affect the succeeding generations.

Every family must recognize the wealth that education can offer their children. Give your children not just an education but strategic and qualitative education; education with a view of what it can do for them in the future. Findings show that the Jews control the bulk of the wealth in the world today and it can be traced to the value they place on quality education. The Jews believe in going to the best schools and studying the most powerful courses there.

Today, you find a lot of young people who despise school and drop out of school. They prefer to go after sudden cash and short term activities, such as sports, that will earn them fast money. They do not understand that cash is the lowest form of wealth. The record is that a lot of superstars in the sporting world who made a lot of money but did not have good education to sustain them became victims of smarter people; and many of them died of overdose of drugs.

There are people who win lottery and lose all the money in a short time because they did not have the education to manage the cash. When you are educating your children or even yourself, know that you are developing a powerful form of wealth that can command cash. You acquire it with cash but it will command cash before long.

PRAYER: Lord, show me the hidden wealth that is in my line of education is Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: PURSUE CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE
PROVERBS 1:5, PHILIPPIANS 4:9

This is different from education. Education as I referred to yesterday, is formal education. Critical knowledge is the knowledge that governs different sectors of life that you are not taught in the four walls of an educational institution. It is like school after school. It is the knowledge that teaches you how to relate and interact with honour and respect. For example, it is critical knowledge for me now to teach my son how to dress well.

You need critical knowledge to prosper in the channel of wealth you want to venture into. You are not likely to succeed if you go into the buying and selling of any product without critical knowledge on how you can thrive in it.

In every field of life, there is provision for the acquisition of critical knowledge. It is called different names- for example in engineering it is called pupillage, where a student engineer attaches himself to a practicing engineer. In the work of the ministry, when people wonder and ask what the secret of success in ministry is, I say, “God’s way of training leaders is not through a formal school, particularly after you have gone through one; it is to attach you to somebody in order to train you.”

When you cross over from formal education to the critical knowledge section, it is a time to learn and ask questions. You will be cheating yourself and endangering your future if you do not ask questions when you are being trained for critical knowledge. How well you do in the acquisition of critical knowledge will affect your performance in life.

PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes to the areas I need to acquire critical knowledge for wealth flow in my life in Jesus’ name!.

1 KINGS 5:1-12

The positive strategic relationships in your life are a form of wealth. Some of the wealthiest people in the world today count their wealth in relationships. Build critical relationships. A man of God made a powerful statement that “Dishonour is the seed for loss.” He said, “I cannot tell what your future will look like until I know who you choose to honour.” Honour is the law that binds and keeps relationships. Anywhere you go, let respect go ahead of you. You can never go wrong in a relationship if you send respect ahead of you. You do not know who is who.

Some who occupy positions with power assume that they are almighty and talk without manners; five years later he wishes he did not speak like that. Dishonour is the seed for loss. Every loss in your life can be traced to someone that you chose to dishonour. If you dishonour God, it will lead to eternal loss.

Some people know how to navigate their way in relationships so well that they always have what they need or want while others mismanage relationships so much that, even when they are in need and everything is so tight, nobody is willing to help them. You can have spiritual relationships and physical relationships. Do an audit of the relationships that are vital to your wealth development in life.

Relationships will make or break you. Some people are destroyed by wrong relationships. Be careful, because one wrong relationship can destroy much good and one good relationship can turn your life around for the better. Just like formal education and critical knowledge, relationship is a higher form of wealth than cash.

*PRAYER:* Lord, give me wisdom to handle and walk well in critical relationships that are to bring wealth into my life in Jesus’ name.

PROVERBS 14:24

I want to share with you two other channels that can bring wealth into your life; they are property and wisdom.

Property is both a form of wealth and a channel of wealth. Property as a wealth form can be portable or immovable. Depending on the context and the situation in which you find yourself, you concentrate on one or the other.

The Jewish nation, over the years, having suffered persecution and near extermination from different places in the world prefer to function more with portable wealth forms like education, knowledge and things that can move. In fact, some of them make very dangerous and bad decisions about acquisition of property because they know that their property can be destroyed if there is a violent crisis. They call buying of landed property outside of Israel bad business. In other societies, such problems do not exist and it becomes good business to acquire an immovable property there. You may need to consider certain factors to know whether to concentrate on portable or immovable wealth at any point in time.

Wisdom is not natural; it is from God. The Bible says in Proverbs chapter 14 verse 24, “the crown of the wise is their riches…” Wisdom automatically will translate to wealth. There is no record in the Bible of a wise man that was poor except in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 15-16 where it spoke of a wise man that was referred to as a poor wise man, that gave counsel to destroy an invading army and nobody respected his wisdom. His wisdom was despised because he did not take the crown of wisdom which is wealth.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive a baptism of the spirit of wisdom to make true riches and administer my properties in Jesus’ name.

The highest form of wealth on earth today is the Holy Spirit. With this knowledge you can immediately begin to see and understand the advantage the believer in Christ has, and the severity of the devil’s deception in making the children of God go after cash which is only an errand boy to other forms of wealth. The other forms of wealth don’t come in any particular order and you may construct your own order of importance but one thing is incontrovertible: the lowest form of wealth is cash and the highest form is the Holy Spirit.

There are three avenues through which the Holy Spirit can become wealth to you, namely: The Anointing, Divine revelation and The Calling of God upon your life (or your destiny). Divine placement and divine selection will result in wealth but you need to understand that all the other forms of wealth will answer to the Holy Ghost.

As a believer, if you do not understand the Holy Spirit as the advantage of the believer you will despise the Holy Spirit and resort to pursuing cash. Most human beings have the idea that wealth is only about cash but it is not so. Cash is the lowest and weakest form of wealth. In the hierarchy of power, money power is also on the lowest rung on the ladder of power. Anointing power is the highest.

The Holy Spirit was given us as our advantage as believers, yet you may say, “I know the Holy Spirit but why am I not wealthy?” It is because you have not honoured Him more than you honour cash. As Christians, you must respect the spiritual forms of wealth more than the physical forms because the spiritual forms create the physical forms.

PRAYER: Sweet Holy Spirit, I acknowledge your role in my life and I open up my life to your operation to channel wealth into my life in Jesus’ name!

JOHN 16:7


The word ‘expedient’ is rendered in The Complete Jewish Bible as “It is to your advantage.” The word expedient refers to something that is to your advantage. Thus we can read it as “it is to your advantage that I go away, if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come.” This means that when the Holy Ghost comes, He is your advantage - He is your financial advantage and your wealth advantage as a child of God. The Holy Ghost guides you in the direction that your blessings will flow from.

 
If as a Christian you do not understand the Holy Spirit as the highest form of wealth, you will cut yourself away from the foundational spiritual advantage of a Christian and resign to join the rat race like every other human being. The focus of God is to produce Christians that can boldly say, “God made me what I am today” and mean it sincerely from their hearts. Most wealthy people were made by the devil or they made their wealth the devil’s way. Some of these already made people eventually become born again and try to Christianize their wealth but their wealth is really not Christian wealth.

 
You need to understand the difference between making it financially by evil means or succeeding by your own effort and making your wealth by following God’s way of moving people into His programme and making provision for them. To get wealth God’s way, you must give priority to what is important, and you start by acknowledging that the foundation and the advantage of the believer is the Holy Ghost and everything that He brings.

Lord, I open up my life to divine instructions and directions from the Holy Ghost over my finances in Jesus’ name.

The Holy Ghost is the greatest form of wealth on the earth; plug in to Him and find out how. The devil has deceived people for too long that cash is the highest form of wealth. People with plenty of cash without the Holy Ghost can lose all they have in a moment. If there is going to be an economic crash, they cannot have the advantage of divine pre-information to prepare for the crash but you can have a divine pre-information in the Holy Ghost and not be part of any economic crash.

The Shunamite woman had proper relationship with the things of the Holy Spirit and when a 7-year famine was imminent, Elisha the Prophet told her to move to another land. Once you understand that you have the Holy Ghost, the highest wealth form in you, you will begin to explore different wealth forms through the Holy Ghost. Do not neglect your advantage and think you are going to have an advantage in the world.

Joseph, a man with the Spirit of God, advised Pharaoh on how to prepare for the upcoming famine. DISCRETION AND WISDOM are two forces that the Holy Ghost gives a man and you should fellowship with Him enough to receive these forces into your life. Will you qualify whenever your world needs a man or a woman in whom the Spirit of God is in? It is time for you to enter into a covenant relationship with the Holy Spirit.

The only reason for poverty and financial struggle in your life is a problem between you and the Holy Ghost and you need to make a decision to eliminate any problem between you and the Holy Ghost if you will enter into the wealth He offers.

The Holy Ghost had a solution for every financial problem people faced in the Bible, whether it was in the land of the heathen or in the land of Israel. In the feeding of the five thousand, when the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Sir, these people are too many, it is getting late and this place is a desert place; let us send the people away.” He told them to give them something to eat. They said, “Where are we going to find bread that these may eat a little.” The Bible says, “And this He said to test them for He himself knew what He was going to do.” He knew what to do through the Holy Spirit.

If you have the Holy Spirit inside you, you can know what to do in every situation; you may not know what to do in your head but through the Holy Spirit in your heart you can always know. Down through the years, irrespective of what people say, I have had no respect for what anybody has that did not come from God. I have seen people that had plenty and it all came crashing down. The devil has used cash to separate men from the Holy Ghost. No matter who you are, without the Holy Ghost, the devil will beat you someday. I have seen the devil use cash to destroy lives.

PRAYER: Lord, separate me from whatever can attack my relationship and walk with the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen!.

If you can understand the Holy Ghost as the highest form of wealth, you will respect Him. You will pursue Him and treasure your relationship with Him. It is what the Lord showed me that I am revealing to you; *the greatest wealth that exists is the Holy Spirit.*

Commit yourself to knowing Him; ask him to help you know Him. He can show you things that will elevate you. He can take one item of His creation and show you a thousand things you can get from it, but *will you pay the price to enter into that intercourse and interaction with Him?* There are people today that if the Holy Ghost asks them to choose between Himself and 10 million (in any currency), they will say “Holy Ghost, please let me take $10 million.” The could also say, “You may think it is easy to say the Holy Ghost is the greatest form of wealth after you have made it, let me also make it and I will say it is the Holy Spirit that did it.”

Some people erroneously believe that they have to make it in life first before they can say that the Holy Ghost is the highest form of wealth; then they claim the Holy Ghost led them to make it when it was their own labour or the devil’s involvement that made them.

God is calling you back to your advantage. *He knows the business you should do and the one you should not venture into; He know the deals you should reject and the ones you should invest in.* He knows the things you should not even get involved with. However, you have to give Him that place of honour for Him to communicate those secrets to you.

Ten people may be doing the same work but the one that carries a special anointing from the Holy Spirit will have a special result. The Holy Spirit is your advantage and He wants you to know it. The Holy Ghost told Kenneth E. Hagin, “If you follow Me, I will lead you to wealth and you will be rich.” Kenneth E. Hagin followed the Holy Spirit and He led him and several other believers to great wealth. The higher forms of wealth command, control and attract the lower ones. The Holy Ghost in you can attract cash to you.

It is possible for you to have the Holy Ghost without giving Him the place of a counsellor in your life. You have to give Him the place of advisor, leader, teacher and whatever else you need Him to be in your life before you can experience Him in that capacity. God can be your Father without you experiencing Him as Father because you did not give Him the place of a Father in your affairs.

The Holy Ghost can be in you without you letting Him talk to you. Consequently, talking of the Holy Ghost as the greatest form of wealth is about you allowing the Holy Ghost to be God inside you- allowing Him to have His way in you. He has to get involved in your life for you to experience Him as the greatest form of wealth. The Holy Ghost must not be a guest in your life. If a guest comes to your house, you determine where he can or cannot enter. Don’t determine how, when or what the Holy Ghost influences, counsels or talks to you about, let Him have His way.

PRAYER: Lord, I allow the Holy Spirit free expression in my finances. Take absolute charge in Jesus’ name!

The Holy Ghost alerted my mind to the fact that wrong financial attitudes are the major causes of financial problems. When we try to correct undesirable manifestations, many times we do not succeed because we try to correct manifestations without dealing with their root causes. When you are dealing with financial issues, it is important to know that there are things that cause the financial problems and struggles in the lives of people and part of it is the attitude that people sustain.

For example, attitude affects behaviour in marriage, at work places, in life and in your health; attitude also affects behaviours that create health conditions. People do things without even knowing why they do them, because they do not understand that attitudes are slippery. Someone can find out some very powerful information that can turn his life around for good but because his attitude is wrong, he despises it. You may have read things or heard fantastic statements about attitude, but how have you applied them to yourself?

Your attitude will govern your responses, your behaviour and your manifestations. Your attitude towards wealth will determine whether you can attract it or not, even though you are working for it. What you attract to yourself is not necessarily what you work for, but what you respect. What you attack, you cannot attract.

Here are some of the attitudes that set Christians back financially: The drive to succeed is evil; All I need to succeed in life is a divine encounter; Once I’m satisfied, I don’t bother about the rest; I don’t need financial knowledge; Executive mindset; If you are rich you cannot be like Jesus and so many others. Run away from these attitudes and soar into financial excellence.

PRAYER: Lord, detach me from every wrong and strange attitude that can pull me down financially in Jesus’ name.

FORCES BEHIND GENERATIONAL FLOWS
GENESIS 12:2-3, JOSHUA 9:22-29


There are positive and negative forces that determine generational flows in life. Some people labour through life without results because they are under negative forces; these forces keep militating against them in all areas where their progenitors were defeated in life.

 
The generational forces are usually more powerful in the succeeding generations. The Bible says they have seven-fold strength (Genesis 4:24). However, the positive generational flow is much stronger than seven-fold in Christ Jesus (Isaiah 30:26). You need to study how to connect to kingdom flows that bring generational wealth and extend them to those who come after you. The relationships that you keep determine the kind of flows that come into your life. As you journey through life, there are four critical personalities you must take heed to. They are: your boss, your teachers, your father(s) and your mentors. These relationships supply different things into your life and you owe them different things.

 
Often, people neglect important relationships in their lives and it affects their experiences in life. God plants people on your road to make your journey easier and to facilitate your passage from phase to phase. Your boss/employer is somebody who puts salary in your purse, you owe him/her excellent service. Your teacher puts something in your head, you owe him school fees. Your father puts something in your heart, you owe him honour.  Don’t mismanage true friendships and powerful relationships because there are some things in life that you can neither accomplish with your efforts nor buy with money.

 
PRAYER: 
Lord, I reject every negative flow in my life today! I pray for wisdom to manage God-ordained relationships in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen!

FORCES BEHIND GENERATIONAL FLOWS (2).
LUKE 15:11-12.




Yesterday, we considered forces that determine generational flows of wealth. Today we will consider critical relationships and personalities that determine flows of wealth in life.



Your boss requires qualitative service from you to give you a salary. You pay school fees and pay attention in class to get education from your teacher. You give honor to your father and you get a moulding for life. Your relationship with a teacher and a boss may be temporary when compared with that of a father and you must know how to receive what they bring into your life’s journey.



The prodigal son mismanaged the critical relationship with his father and ended in poverty. Some people mismanaged their marriages and ended up in divorce, while some mismanaged the love and trust of their spouses only to find themselves emotionally empty after they lost it. Some mismanaged relationship with their children or with their parents. There are things money cannot buy in life; if these critical men withhold those things from you, the shortage in your life will be too evident in your destiny journey. The prodigal son gives a picture of generational wealth and generational poverty. Today’s passage, Luke 15: 11-12, shows that God gave every man an asset in the journey of life in form of a father and a house. A father should be your first asset in life, knowing that generational wealth or poverty doesn’t begin in adulthood but in childhood. That is why God gives us kingdom fathers to rewrite any wrong that biological fathers have written in the past.



PRAYER: Lord, help me to recognize and honour critical personalities You have placed on the road of my life and destiny in Jesus’ name, Amen!

FORCES BEHIND GENERATIONAL FLOWS (3)
DEUTERONOMY 5:9-10

 
Yesterday, we realized that God gave every man an asset in the journey of life in form of a father and a house.  Today, we will look at the critical role of a father and a house in determining generational flow of wealth in life.

 
The Bible teaches that the power of a father will affect four generations after himself (Deuteronomy 5:9 Number 14:18); this means that you are a product of four generations behind you and in that case, you are a product of a flow. You don’t only resemble somebody, you will also behave like somebody or repeat something somebody has done by default; and that is the beginning of problems in the lives of people.


The devil knows that if he cannot wipe out a current generation, he can pervert them so that he would be in control of the next generation. God always seeks to help the current generation not because they are pleasing Him but because He has chosen not to lose the next generation. You must seek to please God in your generation and never allow Him to bless you in spite of yourself.

 
From the story of the prodigal son, the father had two sons who could have been champions, but they turned out with two different outcomes. You must understand that every environment produces its own champions and criminals from the same material. It’s not a question of circumstances but a question of individual choices.

 
PRAYER: Lord, I pray that I will not repeat negative history in my life. I receive grace to become all you want me to be in Jesus’ name, Amen!

*TOPIC: JOURNEY INTO GENERATIONAL WEALTH*
LUKE 15:18-19; JOHN 1:12

The first role of God in your life as you journey into generational wealth is sonship development. *Sonship development* will make wealth flow towards you. God is a God of process and He prioritizes your sonship development so that every other thing He has prepared for you will not be driven away.

*The kingdom of God and its mode of operation is arranged as “make me” before “give me”.* Anytime an individual or a nation receives resources they are not equipped to sustain, they waste it. The greatest goal of God in your life is to make you into something before giving you something.

From the story of the prodigal son we started considering few days ago, he eventually understood this truth after learning the hard way when he said in verse 18-19: “I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.”

The devil always confuses people by asking them to demand for things and they go from pillar to post saying, “Give me, Give me!” The problem of many people is that they have not allowed God to make them. God is a maker of men and not a user of men. *Those people who allow God to make them are always winners in life. Are you yielding to God’s making? What are you being made into? What are you becoming?*

*PRAYER:* Father, I surrender myself to Your divine process. Make me a true son in your kingdom in Jesus’ name, Amen!

WHAT GOD GIVES FOR GENERATIONAL WEALTH FLOW
ZECHARIAH 3:1-5 LUKE 15: 21-22;
2 CORINTHIANS 8:9

 

God gives three things to everyone who will work in generational wealth. When the prodigal son got back to his senses and returned home, his father gave him three things; and these are the three things that God gives everybody: a robe, a ring and shoes. The robe stands for restoration, wealth and authority. The ring stands for covenant, connection and divine joining, destiny and acceptance while the shoes speak of honour, possessions and dominion.
 

If you ever saw yourself in a dream without shoes, it is a sign of an attack of shame and loss of possession is about to take place. If you ever had a dream that clothes were taken off your back, it is also a bad sign. The prodigal son lost everything that shows a man is okay with his father and he needed to have them restored. When someone is promoted in the army, rings are given to him/her as a change of ranks; when God gives you a ring, your rank is changing.  
 

Regardless of negative flows in your ancestry, once you are connected to the kingdom, you’re joined to the flow of God. As you work the flow of the kingdom, it gets bigger until you’re a reflection of the wealth flows in God’s kingdom.Jesus took the garment of poverty away from us and he became poor, so we can become wealthy. Jesus has put a garment of wealth upon you in the spirit and you have divine permission to prosper in everything you do.

 
PRAYER: 
Lord, I receive the divine robe, ring and shoes for the flow of my wealth to begin in Jesus’ name, Amen!

FAITH FOR WEALTH
ROMANS 10:17; JAMES 2:24, MARK 10:27
 

Faith will give you a better option than your history and ancestry can give you. Everybody’s turning point will come at the point they decide to believe in God. Jesus said,“All things are possible to him that believes,” Mark 9:23. He didn’t say all things are possible to him that goes to school; he never said all things are possible because there are no devils. Rather, “All things are possible to him that believes.”  The Bible says, “How can they believe, except they hear?”
 

The words that you are receiving must be putting faith into your spirit and showing you to believe divine possibilities. There’s a difference between something easy and something possible. God didn’t promise you an easy road in life; an easy road is a road going nowhere and a possible road doesn’t mean there will be no enemy there but it’s possible. Joshua and Caleb believed in the possibility of taking the mountains regardless of the giants.  Caleb said, “We are well able” because faith had taken over his heart and he got what he wanted.

 
Everyone on the earth is operating under one of two forces: Faith or Fear. Most people are under the force of fear and as a result they don’t try out anything new. For wealth to flow towards you, don’t develop wrong habits. Rather, develop faith habits and habits that get money, keep money, increase money, multiply money and perpetuate money. If you will have generational wealth, you need to develop faith and correct work ethics.

 
PRAYER: Father, help me to develop faith and habits that generate and increase wealth in Jesus’ name, Amen!

In my book Seven Components of the Will of God, I have documented all the truths and revelations that God showed me as touching the matter of the will of God, but I share a few of those truths with you in our devotional this month. Many Christians stumble at the purpose of God because they don’t understand His will. I believe God with you that the will of God will be clear to you at the end of this month in Jesus’ name.

 
The seven components of the will of God include divine purpose, timing, place, strategy, people, measure and generation; and this month we will explore in detail how these components work together. God works everything according to the counsel of His will and the believer that understands the will of God won’t be agitated once you are aligned to it.

 
You should approach this month’s reading prayerfully and with attention to details because many of the statements you are about to read came directly from the womb of the Spirit of God and as such, your goal should not be to rush to the end of the day’s reading but meditate upon the truth therein until the light of God arises in your heart.
 

PRAYER: Lord, banish confusion from my life and work wonders of accuracy and alignment with Your will for my life, calling, career and destiny in Jesus’ name.

WHAT THE DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE WILL DO FOR YOU

The first component of the will of God is divine purpose. Let us look at what discovery of divine purpose will do for you:

1.  DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE TRANSFORMS YOU
In Matthew chapter 16, we see two sides of the coin of discovery of purpose. The first side is that the discovery of your purpose transforms you. When you discover your own purpose, it will transform you.  When you discover the purpose of a person you are living with, it will transform your relationship with that person. Married couples should labour to discover the purpose of God for their spouses.
 
2.  DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE PRESERVES YOU
It will preserve you from sin. It will affect your choices and decisions in life. To know how discovery of divine purpose will preserve you from sin, you need to look at the life of Joseph; that young man discovered the purpose of God at an early age of seventeen and that understanding preserved him.

 
3.  DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE WILL AFFECT YOUR CHOICES
Your choices and decisions in life will determine what you’ll become or what you don’t become eventually. Before you make a choice, you are the master of whatever you want to choose but as soon as you make the choice, your choice will become your master and control you. Therefore, you need to be careful as you make your choices in life.

 
PRAYER: 
Lord, lead me into the details of the purpose you have for my life. As you showed Joseph, show me Lord in Jesus’ name.

Esther, Joseph, Nehemiah and the Lord Jesus Christ are examples of men and women that recognized and pursued their purpose on the earth and they were instrumental to the salvation of multitudes in their family, nation and generation.

5. DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE IDENTIFIES YOU TO YOUR GENERATION
God wants us to be known by His purpose in our generation not by our jobs or career, not even by our qualifications but by His purpose for our lives. Today, when you think of Joseph, you immediately think of that young man who saved a multitude of people.

6. DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE ATTRACTS THE HELP OF GOD
It will cause beyond-man events to take place for you. In the story of Esther (Esther 4:14-16), we read that Esther broke the law of the land but God overruled the consequences because she was walking in the purpose of God for her life.

7. DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE PUTS YOUR FATE IN THE HANDS OF THE ALMIGHTY WHO DESIGNED YOUR PURPOSE.
This means that your fate will neither be in the hands of men nor the devil. Instead, God uses the wickedness of people and attacks of the devil to work the original counsel of His will to accomplish His purpose for your life.

PRAYER: Lord, I choose Your will above all in my life. Help me to experience all the benefits of discovering my divine purpose in Jesus’ name.

Let us continue with our list of the things that the discovery and pursuit of divine purpose will do for you:
 
 8.   DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE PUTS YOUR NAME ON THE LIST OF ETERNITY
When you do anything in agreement with destiny and in the purpose of God for you, it causes your name to be put on the list of eternity; you are never forgotten. 
 
9.    DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE HELPS YOU OVERCOME FRUSTRATION AND DISCOURAGEMENT
The understanding and pursuit of purpose will cause you to overcome and rise through every onslaught of the devil. Joseph was a true example of this truth. You never wake up thinking of suicide when you are pursuing your purpose.
 
10.  DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE HELPS YOU TO UNLEASH YOUR HIDDEN GRACE
The discovery and pursuit of your divine purpose will cause you to give your best to whatever you are doing now and what you are called to do.
 
11.  DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE MAKES YOUR LIFE A TEXTBOOK FOR OTHERS TO FOLLOW 
The story of your life will become a history of challenge to encourage generations coming to pursue God and live for divine purpose like you did.
 
12.  DISCOVERY OF DIVINE PURPOSE HELPS YOU EVALUATE YOUR LIFE EFFECTIVELY
The discovery and pursuit of divine purpose will help you evaluate your life, not by comparison with other people but by asking yourself this question: “Am I doing what God intends for me to do and how well am I doing it?”

 
PRAYER: Lord, lead the way, I will follow. I pledge to take the discovery and pursuit of my purpose and destiny serious from today in Jesus’ name.

COOPERATE WITH DIVINE PURPOSE IN PRAYER
1 KINGS 3:5-13; MATTHEW 6:33

 
Today, we will consider the importance of praying in alignment with God’s purpose.  Solomon’s prayer in 1 Kings 3 pleased the Lord because Solomon was not celebrating the fact that he defeated his brothers to become king. This prayer pleased God simply because Solomon was not praying that God should give him the neck of his enemies; he wasn’t just doing thanksgiving for becoming king while ignorant of the purpose. He was praying the prayer that will help him fulfil his purpose as the king of Israel and it pleased the Lord.

 
All that you have become in life is a platform to fulfil divine purpose; labour to find God’s purpose for putting you in that position or blessing you with that ability and cooperate with His purpose. It is not how long you spend fasting and praying as much as how strongly your prayer aligns to the purpose of God; that is what brings the power of God into your life. Many people are looking for methods to succeed in life, but God is a God of principles. Methods change but principles remain constant. God wants you to discover His purpose for your life and walk in it.
 

When Solomon chose to pray the purpose of God and walked in it, God gave him things that other people were pursuing. That’s what the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Go beyond the mundane and align your prayers to God’s purpose and you will enter a new season of divine commitment.
 

PRAYER: 
Lord, show me Your will and I will follow You in prayer and in all I have and hope to be in Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: USING TIME IN THE LIGHT OF ETERNITY
ECCLESIASTES 3:1-11, 17

In the next four days, we will consider TIME as a component of the will of God. Time is the portion of the overall purpose and programme of God that deals with human affairs. It is a portion of eternity, a continuation of eternity; and whatever you do in time must be related to eternity for it to attract eternal relevance and glorify God.

Everything you do with time must be measured by ETERNITY. Time pertains to the ‘WHEN’ of God’s divine purpose for your life. Today’s text reveals that time is attached to purpose. Therefore, if you discover purpose you must also discover the timing for it. Time is where you are on God’s schedule for your stay on the earth.

Ecclesiastes 3:10 says “I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.” The travail has to do with finding the time that God has set concerning your purpose. God sets the time, not men, therefore the responsibility lies on us to find out the set time.

God has made everything beautiful in His time. The key there is ‘His time’ not “its time’ as if to say in the time of that thing. The key there is God’s time for that purpose HE has for you. There is a time for everything and if you will get the will of God for your life and what you are doing, you need to get His time for you.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the heart that walks in the light of eternity. I refuse to spend my time or my life on things without eternal relevance in Jesus’ name.

EMBRACE THE EQUATION OF WISDOM
ECCLESIASTES 8: 5-6; 2 SAMUEL 11:1-2
 

God has a set time for every activity pertaining to man. You cannot do everything you desire, but your goal should be to discover God’s timing for you. When you make the right decision at the right time, you will fulfil God’s purpose early.


The passage in Ecclesiastes shows us that WISDOM is equal to accuracy of timing and accuracy of decisions. I have discovered that the equation of wisdom is 80% timing and 20% decision. A wise man will be considered foolish if he does the right thing at the wrong time or the wrong thing at the right time.


In 2 Samuel 11:1, David ought to be at the battlefront but he stayed at home. This error in timing led to the greatest blemish in the life and testimony of David. God occupies us and employs us in divine timing. When you are out of divine timing, you are out of divine employment. And whenever you are out of divine employment, the devil will either employ you or prey on you.


The devil finds work for everyone outside the timing of God for their lives. This was exactly the case with David in today’s passage. Here, even though David was still in the palace as the king of Israel, he was not in the timing of God and therefore out of the will of God, so the devil could ensnare him. Many believers have fallen prey to the wiles of the devil because they were out of the will of God and did not know their timing under God; don’t join them.
 

PRAYER: 
Lord, deliver me from the error of wrong timing. I receive a baptism to understand divine timing in Jesus’ name.

DIVINE TIMING DELIVERS YOU FROM TEMPTATIONJAMES 1:13-15; 2 SAMUEL 11:1-2

 
From yesterday, we have been looking at how David’s missed timing cost him a major blunder in his lifetime. Had David been at the battlefield that day, even if Bathsheba was bathing beside the battlefield, she wouldn’t have been a temptation to David because he would have been engaged with the right activity at that time.


When you miss the timing of God, what should not be a temptation to you becomes a temptation, but keeping pace with divine timing makes it difficult for temptation to catch up with you. When David remained at home, you need to understand that he was alone while the Holy Spirit, the power of God and the provision of God was on the battlefield because all these move in accordance to the purpose and timing of God. They work together.


When you step out of the timing of God, you also step out of the provision and protection of God. That’s why it is important that we understand and study the subject of divine timing. There is a divine timing of God’s programme for you and you need to seek God’s face to access His will for you per time. Beware that you do not do anything in a moment of pleasure that will have a negative bearing on the overall purpose of God for your life, which in turn, makes it impossible to fulfil the purpose of God for your life.

 
PRAYER: Lord, help me to always be in step with Your timing for my life and deliver me from evil in Jesus’ name.
