FRANCIS LEAN ON THE DOOR OF HIS STUDY, the thought of Mary overwhelmed his head, his mind... It clouds his head.... He wonder how he was going to prove to her that what happened wasn't intentional, he was drugged.... He try to remember the girl's face, the girl mary has caught him banging.....the image that came to his head wasn't clear, he went in and pick up one of his artwork.... He stare at Mary's picture in the wall, he loves and he is not going to let her go, no matter what he has to do, he has to get her back but first he needs to prove to her he is telling the truth, that he was set up.. But how he will do thatbis something he doesn't know, wasn't sure of....
He lower his knees to the ground ,thinking of the possible ways he can get to the bottom of the issue.. His instincts tells him her friends are responsible,her friends hated him, he knew that for a fact, they will do anything to prove he is not the right guy for her.. But he was ready to prove them wrong, he will find all possible means to prove his innocence and Mary will come to realise her friends aren't the people she thought they were.....
With a feeling of eagerness and optimism, he quickly stood up, walk to where he has slingling threw ihis shirt on....
Without hesitation, he wore the polo and left the house......

Mary exhales and folded her hands the moment they came out from the taxi
Jacob paid the taxi man, they both watch as the taxi man drove off, Jacob look at the address in his hand..... "Still have no idea where this is"
Mary suck her teeth, she has a bad feeling about this, Manny was engaged to Jeremy and she didn't even to tell them.... She quiver as that thought of Jeremy killing Manny to get back at her creep into her head.....
"Are you still thinking he killed her? Jacob ask when he study her moody expression....
Mary swallow hard as she try to wave the thought away..... "I don't know what to think, but i just pray he didn't, i mean this whole thing.....
"Is strange right? Jacob cut in....
"I know that feeling, when you thought you know someone but it turns the only things you know about the person were just the basis, not her life... "
"What reasons could she possibly have had not to tell us... ?
"Maybe Sharon knew, she gave us the boy's address..... "
"If she knew i don't understand why they have been both keeping this from me, is not right.... "mary blared out
"Who knows, maybe they wanted it to be a surprise.... "
Mary gritted... "If that's the case, theu should be applause because they succeeded in giving me the best surprise of my life"
Jacob chulkled.... "I understand how you feel"
Mary curl her lips tinged with frown lines encroaching on her forehead.... "Lets just go.. "She muttered shabbily...
Jacob scoffs"Have you been to this place before?
Mary sigh and look at the address.... "'never heard of it.... "
"Well then i suggest we start asking questions now or we might just end up lost.... "

"It was few minutes later when they got to the address......
They gaze at each house, not sure of the house to knock since the houses were a bit spoogy...more like a ghetto.. They stare at each other since the address didn't specify the particular house
"Na who ona dey find"A baritone hoarse voice sounded from behind them
They turn around, Mary quiver when she saw a guy a bit broadchested,he was shirtless, dark, there was hair all over his chest and then it made a straight line to the tip of his trouser... She take off her eyes from going further....
"Good day, we are looking for someone and someone gave us this address that we can find him here but the house wasn't really specified..."
"Na wetin be the person name?
"Jeremy ...."
The guy knit his brows..... "Jeremy.... You mean Jerry boy.... ?
Jacob and Mary glance at each other...
"We are not really sure if that is the name he is called here"Jacob said
"How the guy be? He ask
Mary jut her her chin as Jacob look at her...
"We haven't see him, this is the first time we want to meet him"Jacob said
"Na only Jerry boy be the Jerry wen dey reside for this caban"The guy blared out
Mary nodded as Jacob glance at her....
"Can you take us to him? Jacob said
"If na Jerry you dey find, you don pass im house na"
Oh...! Jacob exclaimed
"Okay please show us the way to his house or better still take us there"
The guy suck his teeth.. "If only ona go, nor do nor do, ona go lost o, nor worry, mak i call one smallie mak he cary ona go there but ona go position nam small thing o, you knw sau our children naw, without money, head nor dey go o"
"Of course we will tip him something"
"You be correct guy but first you go position me something too o, you know na me wan arrange the road leader give ona so, as you soft so, i nor want mak you go lost, you grab that kine thing na"
Jacob huffs then he pulled out five hundred naira from his pocket and gave it to him....
"You be real correct nigga"The guy said, he walk into a corner and call a child..
"Lets just hope this Jerry boy turns out to be Jeremy"Mary said with clenched teeth
It wasn't long before the boy ran out....
Jacob glance at Mary when they saw the boy....
The guy told the boy what to do...
They follow suit as the boy began to lead the way
They followed as the boy led them through all the hooks and crannies of the area..
"See the house here"The boy said....
Mary stare at the house,she sigh when she look round the compound ...
Jacob thank the boy then the boy streched his hand...
"Oh! Jacob muttered as he realized what the boy wants, he pull out hundred naira from his pocket....
"Bros i nor dey collect hundred naira o, mak amm two hundred....
"My friend take this money and go"Jacob raved at him...
"Bros no o, ahh"The boy murmur and grumble
"I think i have two hundred naira on me"Mary said, she dip her hands on her pocket and brought out money, she pick two hundred from it and gave it to the boy....
"Na now ona do better thing na"The boy said with a grin face, then he left them...
"Are you sure this is the right place.. "Mary ask
"The boy said it is"
They hesitated a bit, then Mary knocked... No answer came the first time, then she knocked again.... "Am not sure anyone is inside "
Jacob knocked harder than mary....
"Who is that"A voice hollered from inside....
Mary quiver in her spines..."Jerry"She blared out...
It wasn't long before the door opened....
A guy who was stripped to his shorts came out...
Mary sigh when she noticed the guy was sweating profusely, she look away to avert her eyes from wandering in his body, it was very obvious he wasn't Jeremy, what a waste of time and money.....
"Sorry for bothering you, we are looking for Jeremy and someone told us he lives here. "Jacob said
"My name is Jerry, am not Jeremy"
"Jacob exhales shapily. "Do you perhaps know him, we heard he moved into this area a week ago... "
The guy shook his head "I have been staying here for a long time now, i don't know who you are looking for, nobody have moved into this compound for quite a while now, i suggest you go and ask in the next compound... "
Jacob huffs... "Alright thank you for your time.. "
"Na which person be dat self"a ferminine voice sounded from inside...
Jacob gritted, that explains the sweating, they must have been........ "Sorry for bothering you... "
"Am glad i could help"The boy said,then he close the door
"Another loose end"Mary muttered...
"I guess we just have to go back to where that boy led us from... "

Francis look around as he enter the club house, besides the two people sitting on a chair drinking, there was no one except the bar man and some girls that cleaning up, he quickly recognise the guy, he was the one there the night Mary had caught him banging that girl wboever she is.... His instincts tells him the barman knows something ...he quickly walk up to him.....
"Do you remember me... ?he ask shapily...
The barman gaze at him, then he shrugs... "No... "
Francis studied his expression, his mouth has he doesn't but his eyes wrre saying he does.... "Look i know you do, and i want to ask you a question, the last time i came here, where you the one who drugged my drink?He ask harshly
"I have no idea what you are talking about sir"
"Answer me"He blared out..
He exhales and adjusted himself when he noticed his quick reaction signalled everyone's attention......
"Please i need you to tell me... "He said calmly
"I remenber you from that night but i didn't drug your drink, i just gave you the drinks you ask for.... "
Francis suck his teeth, he look around and noticed everyone was now beginning to mind their own business.... "Do you remember thay girl i came with... ?
"The one who said she don't drink alcohol... Yes i remember... "
"Okay, after that one was gone, do you remember the other girl that came to me....?He ask hoping and praying he knows her
"Hmph, i may have forgotten her face but the two of you were getting along pretty well that night,until she drag you to dance with her, that was the last time i saw you... Then the first girl with you later came back asking for you......"
Francis sigh, a sigh of disappointment..... "Does she always come to this club....?
"Who, the first or the second...?
"The second... "he replied irritated...
"No, that was the first time i saw her"
"Damn... "Francis muttered....

Mary sigh, a sigh of relief the moment they came back to the address again, this time they went straight to the house closeby and knocked...
It was minutes latrr before a young boh came out from the house.... They boy greeted them....
"Hey, we are looking for someone, his name is Jeremy, we moved into this area a week ago, do you happen to know anyone who just moved in newly.... ?Mary ask
The boy nodded.... "I don't know his name but he just moved into the compound, there.... "He said pointing at a house a few pace away from them
They thank him and begin to head for the house....
Mary wink her eyes at him when she realise it was a face to face compound .....
They saw a girl cooking in the corridor, they quickly walk up to her....
Mary greeted her but the girl snub her greetings.... She didn't mind, she just went straight to the point.... "Am looking for a guy call Jeremy, he just moved into this compound a week ago.... "
"That's his room"The girl said pointing at it....
Mary thank her wondering why the girl was acting so weird...
She was a bit glad, glad she has finally find his place...... Perhaps she can get the answers to the questions echoing in her head....
Without hesitation, they knocked on the door but no answer came, she knocked again this time harder yet no answer came....
"Am not sure those people are around o"Another neighbour said..
Mary gritted her teeth, she said people, she wonder how many of them are staying in the house...
"Do you know when they will be back.... ?Jacob ask...
"I think his roommate went to buy something, he won't be long, i suggest you wait for him.... "The neighbour said
Mary grunts at the sound of roommate, she wonder how Manny has met this guy, the house the guy was living in, it was obvious he doesn't have money,she has always know Manny to be a classy girl, never has she thought that Manny was capable of dating a boy like Jeremy....
"I guess we will just to wait for them....."Jacob said
Mary sigh... "Do you perhaps have a chair we can sit on while we wait... ?Mary ask the neighbour
The neigbour went in and brought the plastic chairs from the house....
"So you are friends of Jeremy, how do you communicate with him, since he moved into this compound, he hasn't spoken two words to us, only his roommate talks with us.... "
"Oh...! Mary exclaimed......
"Actually, this is the first time we are meeting with him.... "Jacob added
"Is that so, you are welcome... "The neighbour said and went in back...
Mary caught gaze of the one cooking staring at her but she turn her eyes away the moment she saw her...
Mary curl her lips........

They were exhausted after waiting a long while.... .
Couple of times Jacob has suggested they leave and come back the next day since they were aware of the place... But she has said they should a bit longer, a little while.... She wasn't she was to deal with the thought that Manny could be dead,killed by Jeremy, she need to see Jeremy, she need to be sure Manny is still alive.....
"Do you still think we should wait, it's almost two hours.... "
Mary took a deep breathe not sure what to say anymore..... She quickly stood up... "Lets go then.. "
"Hope you aren't leaving because i said so.... "Jacob said
she shook her head and was about to call the neighbor when a guy walk in.....
They quickly realised who the boy was as he stood in front of the door...
"Are you Jeremy? Mary ask impetuously...
The guy look at her. "Who is looking for Jeremy.....?
"We are.. "Mary said...
The guy hesitated before he said another word... "Jeremy is inside... "he said
Mary wink at Jacob.. "No he isn't, we knocked the door... "
The guy turn down the knob and the door flung open....
Shock engulf them as they saw him, a rope tied to his neck and hung on the fan.....
"Jeremy... "The boy shouted and rushed to him...
Mary shudder.... With trembling mouth she muttered... "He is dead"

"How did you get it? Mary ask
"Well i took it from the table when everyone was crying and pulling the rope from his neck, i hope whatever he might have written down gives us a clue or something"he said as he unfold it, he crackled his throat, exhales shapily and begin to read the letter

It was already 5:45pm when she got home, she realise the door was locked after knocking several times....
She frown when she realise she didn't take her key, she pick out her phone and dial Sharon's number... She waited patiently for her to pick but she didn't....
She huffs as she thought about the whole thing that happened..... Jacob has gone home on their way back, though he has asked he followed her here but she insisted he should go home and rest....
She put on woebegone face as the memory Of jeremy resurfaced in her head....
She thought they were a step closer to finding out what happened to Manny or knowing wherever she is... But their efforts all turn fruitless as they find out their lead, the person they leaned on to tell them, to help them, to give them a clue is dead..commited suicide....
She thought she knew Manny, thought she know everything about her but it all turns out she know nothing... Sharon was righy, she know nothing about Manny... She wonder who Manny is in reality....
Instead of dialing Sharon's numbet, she decided to try calling Manny again praying and hoping in her heart she picks, she answers.....
She inhale deeply as the phone begin to ring......
She clenched her fist when the call wasn't answered... She called again but no one answered...
"Where are you Manny...?she muttered to herself....
She hopes and prays she isn't dead.... She quivered in her spines and quickly put the thought away, her friend cant be dead... She shouldn't have such thoughts.. She need to be hopeful... She is optimistic her friend is okay..... She is doing fine....
Her face sullen when her inner minds keep ringing to her that Manny wasn't okay, something could, must have probably happened to her....
She quickly tap the screen of her face whe'a message came in... She huffs when she realise it was Sharon, a message telling her Where the housekey is... She quickly check the place and pick up the key...
For a moment, she just stood thinking of the possible places Manny could be hanging out in.....
She quickly insert the key on the door when nothing came to her head...
She open the door and push it wide open...
With a huff she drag her feet inside... Close the door back and threw herself on the chair....
She wonder where Sharon could have gone to.....why Sharon was so sure Manny isn't in trouble.....
Maybe she knew better, even if she doesn't really Manny tpp well the way she thought she do... She know Manny will avoid her calls and that scare her, the feeling that something terrible has happened to Manny prick a fear in her heart, a great fear that is clouding her thinking.....
She stood up from the chair, was she worrying too much, could Manny be alright as Sharon has said... She dial Manny's number again..
She waited patiently but no one answered....
Could she have been involved in some kind of accident and no one is aware...
Her body shook with the possibility of it..... If that was the case, Manny would have found a way to call them.....
She was famished, she drag her feet to the kitchen... She open the pot and then sting back the cover of the pot.... She quickly open the fridge, she sigh, a sigh of relief when she realise her fried potatoes were still there....
She pick them up and heat them on the microwave...
She tossed a strap of her hair that was falling on her face to another side of her hair....
She was still confused on why Jeremy has written Maggie instead Of manny on that letter, could Jacob be right, could Manny has changed her name to Maggie.. But why, why would she do that.... Why would she date him, plan a wedding with him without telling her... Why did she keep so much secrets from her....
She hope and pray she get the answers to her questions...
Jeremy has committed suicide because he was heartbroken.... Manny.. Maggie broke his heart and he resorted to suicide....
She try to put herself in his choose. Manny..Maggie has broken his heart same way Francis has broken hers.. She is shattered, devastated.. Hurt..she has actually thought of dying....
A memory of that moment she has cut him having sex with that club slut creep into her head..... Francis destroyed her lives,shattered her dreams with him.. She was angry.. Bitter that a part of her still loves him, still yearn for him.. Still want to hold him, still want to listen to his lies.....
tears flowed unchecked down her cheeks and dripped from her chin. She was too sad to cry out or wail, she just stood there as still as a statue while the magnitude of her broken heart swept over her......
Before now, she has always thought the word HEARTBREAK sounds so childish, like something flimsy, something one should be able to cast off with a happy reflection or the smile of a friend. But heartbreak is nothing of the sort. It sits inside like the germ seed of depression, just waiting for the right conditions to grow, to send out roots to choke the hope out of your heart. It is the trough in which one struggle to return to the peak, always afraid that this time the rungs will be too slippery, too far apart or simply not there at all......
She sniff as uncontrollable tears run down her cheek.....
She quickly put off the microwave and slide down to the floor and gave way to more tears

She quickly look up when she heard footsteps....
"Where were you? She blared out..
She got the answer to her question when she saw a towel tied round his lean waist...
"How did you get in... ?Pope ask back....
"What, are you in here with someone.... "She scurred back
"Come on Sharon, you know i wouldn't do that.... Do you have a duplicate of my key...?
Sharon suck her teeth... "The door was open... "
"Oh...! He exhales... "So how is my beautiful angel doing... "He said walking towards her.... He lean his head down to her....
"Not now Pope... "She said pushing his heaf away.... She quickly stood up.... "Has the deal be done...?
"What deal?Pope replied tightening the towel in his waist
"Come on Pope, don't give me that, you are supposed to ambushed Manny yesterday and collect her car, but up till now, i haven't seen Manny neither i heard anything about the car, have you already sold it and taken the money for yourself.....?
"We don't sell cars within 24hours,we need to make ready the important documents required to sell it.... "
"Why i haven't heard from Manny, she didn't come home last night and she hasn't returned till now....? Sharon ask anxiously
Pope bug out his eyes..... "How would i know where she is, she must be somewhere partying...... "
"You took her car......
"I didn't take the car.... "Pope interjects.... "There was a little snag in the operation, Manny never showed up in that road.... "
"Liar, i am very sure Manny drove through that road, she told me herself.... "
"My boys and i stood in that road for hours, we didn't see Manny nor his car..... "
Sharon quiver in her spines as she the worst thoughts sink into her head...."Pope, where is Manny?
"I told you, i haven't see Manny.... "
Her heartbeat increases as she thought of what could have happened to her..."Oh my God, you killed Manny?

She huffs as she thought about the whole thing that happened..... Jacob has gone home on their way back, though he has asked he followed her here but she insisted he should go home and rest....
She put on woebegone face as the memory Of jeremy resurfaced in her head....
She thought they were a step closer to finding out what happened to Manny or knowing wherever she is... But their efforts all turn fruitless as they find out their lead, the person they leaned on to tell them, to help them, to give them a clue is dead..commited suicide....
She thought she knew Manny, thought she know everything about her but it all turns out she know nothing... Sharon was righy, she know nothing about Manny... She wonder who Manny is in reality....
Instead of dialing Sharon's numbet, she decided to try calling Manny again praying and hoping in her heart she picks, she answers.....
She inhale deeply as the phone begin to ring......
She clenched her fist when the call wasn't answered... She called again but no one answered...
"Where are you Manny...?she muttered to herself....
She hopes and prays she isn't dead.... She quivered in her spines and quickly put the thought away, her friend cant be dead... She shouldn't have such thoughts.. She need to be hopeful... She is optimistic her friend is okay..... She is doing fine....
Her face sullen when her inner minds keep ringing to her that Manny wasn't okay, something could, must have probably happened to her....
She quickly tap the screen of her face whe'a message came in... She huffs when she realise it was Sharon, a message telling her Where the housekey is... She quickly check the place and pick up the key...
For a moment, she just stood thinking of the possible places Manny could be hanging out in.....
She quickly insert the key on the door when nothing came to her head...
She open the door and push it wide open...
With a huff she drag her feet inside... Close the door back and threw herself on the chair....
She wonder where Sharon could have gone to.....why Sharon was so sure Manny isn't in trouble.....
Maybe she knew better, even if she doesn't really Manny tpp well the way she thought she do... She know Manny will avoid her calls and that scare her, the feeling that something terrible has happened to Manny prick a fear in her heart, a great fear that is clouding her thinking.....
She stood up from the chair, was she worrying too much, could Manny be alright as Sharon has said... She dial Manny's number again..
She waited patiently but no one answered....
Could she have been involved in some kind of accident and no one is aware...
Her body shook with the possibility of it..... If that was the case, Manny would have found a way to call them.....
She was famished, she drag her feet to the kitchen... She open the pot and then sting back the cover of the pot.... She quickly open the fridge, she sigh, a sigh of relief when she realise her fried potatoes were still there....
She pick them up and heat them on the microwave...
She tossed a strap of her hair that was falling on her face to another side of her hair....
She was still confused on why Jeremy has written Maggie instead Of manny on that letter, could Jacob be right, could Manny has changed her name to Maggie.. But why, why would she do that.... Why would she date him, plan a wedding with him without telling her... Why did she keep so much secrets from her....
She hope and pray she get the answers to her questions...
Jeremy has committed suicide because he was heartbroken.... Manny.. Maggie broke his heart and he resorted to suicide....
She try to put herself in his choose. Manny..Maggie has broken his heart same way Francis has broken hers.. She is shattered, devastated.. Hurt..she has actually thought of dying....
A memory of that moment she has cut him having sex with that club slut creep into her head..... Francis destroyed her lives,shattered her dreams with him.. She was angry.. Bitter that a part of her still loves him, still yearn for him.. Still want to hold him, still want to listen to his lies.....
tears flowed unchecked down her cheeks and dripped from her chin. She was too sad to cry out or wail, she just stood there as still as a statue while the magnitude of her broken heart swept over her......
Before now, she has always thought the word HEARTBREAK sounds so childish, like something flimsy, something one should be able to cast off with a happy reflection or the smile of a friend. But heartbreak is nothing of the sort. It sits inside like the germ seed of depression, just waiting for the right conditions to grow, to send out roots to choke the hope out of your heart. It is the trough in which one struggle to return to the peak, always afraid that this time the rungs will be too slippery, too far apart or simply not there at all......
She sniff as uncontrollable tears run down her cheek.....
She quickly put off the microwave and slide down to the floor and gave way to more tears

"Helloo... "Sharon blared out the moment she enters the house....
She wonder if he was in... She was sure he was, the door is open....
"Pope... "she called out loudly.....
She quickly threw her bag on the chair and sat beside when no answer came.....
She lean her back on the chair wondering where he could have gone to with his door unlock... Then the worst thoughts entered her head...could he be with a woman....
She wave off the thought, He would have probably ran out if he had a woman in his room...
She exhales.. She was tired, quite exhausted.....
She quickly look up when she heard footsteps....
"Where were you? She blared out..
She got the answer to her question when she saw a towel tied round his lean waist...
"How did you get in... ?Pope ask back....
"What, are you in here with someone.... "She scurred back
"Come on Sharon, you know i wouldn't do that.... Do you have a duplicate of my key...?
Sharon suck her teeth... "The door was open... "
"Oh...! He exhales... "So how is my beautiful angel doing... "He said walking towards her.... He lean his head down to her....
"Not now Pope... "She said pushing his heaf away.... She quickly stood up.... "Has the deal be done...?
"What deal?Pope replied tightening the towel in his waist
"Come on Pope, don't give me that, you are supposed to ambushed Manny yesterday and collect her car, but up till now, i haven't seen Manny neither i heard anything about the car, have you already sold it and taken the money for yourself.....?
"We don't sell cars within 24hours,we need to make ready the important documents required to sell it.... "
"Why i haven't heard from Manny, she didn't come home last night and she hasn't returned till now....? Sharon ask anxiously
Pope bug out his eyes..... "How would i know where she is, she must be somewhere partying...... "
"You took her car......
"I didn't take the car.... "Pope interjects.... "There was a little snag in the operation, Manny never showed up in that road.... "
"Liar, i am very sure Manny drove through that road, she told me herself.... "
"My boys and i stood in that road for hours, we didn't see Manny nor his car..... "
Sharon quiver in her spines as she the worst thoughts sink into her head...."Pope, where is Manny?
"I told you, i haven't see Manny.... "
Her heartbeat increases as she thought of what could have happened to her..."Oh my God, you killed Manny?

"You have told me many things in the past and it all turned out to be lies.... "she retorted, tinged with fear shuddering her spines.. What has she done, Manny was her friend... She shouldn't have trust Pope... All she wanted was just for her car to be stolen....
"I know you Pope, i know you too well, i know you carried out our plans and i know damn well you killed her"
"Why would i do that, why would i kill Manny? Pope blared out irritated
"Because you hate her..... "She blared out... She exhales, take a deep breathe.... "You've held a grudge against her ever since our university days..."
Pope curl his lips... "Manny must have done some crazy things to me in the past, things that shattered my life and made me who i am today, but why would i wait for such a long time to enact my revenge when i have more than enough opportunities all this years to crush her like a twig..... "

Sharon knew very well in her heart that he was lying, Pope was dangerous, a dangerous man who is capable of doing anything to the woman who has ruined his life in the past, even if it meant murder.. She knew he was willing to take the chance.... Pope killed Manny.....

She pants with hard breathe, feeling guilty about what she has done.... "Why didn't you call me if Manny didn't show up, if you are telling the truth why didn't you inform me the instant you realise she didn't come.... "
"I didn't want to bother you with such news. Besides i knew you will show up which you did... "
Sharon folded her arms, then she took a few steps from him... She wasn't if Pope was telling the truth but she is no fool.. If Manny is dead.. Pope killed her...
"I didn't kill your friend if that is what you are still thinking....."
Sharan swallow hard as she realise if really Pope killed Manny, he wouldn't admit the truth, she has to find out for herself what happened to Manny....

Mary was scared, this was the third day and there is no sign of Manny, no calls, no text messages....
She peep out from the curtains of the window, she sigh when she saw no one, she move away from the window, then she pace around, she stare at her phone... Praying and hoping it rings or beem a message and it should be Manny.. She had called her countless times today, sent her messages but there was no reply, not even a blank message... She knew for a fact that at this stage, the only people who were capable of helping her is the police... They are her last resort....
She pick up the phone and try calling Sharon... She drop the phone when it occurred to her that she won't pick... She hasn't be taking picking her call since she drop the message.. That she was going to sleep out....
Sharon was living in her own hell, she wonder how she could have changed so much.... They have all changed especially Manny...
Fear prick her as she thought Manny could be dead.. Dead in a place no-one can find her...
She pick up her phone and dial the number again... Anticipating that she picks or someone picks....
She groan and threw the phone back on the chair... Manny disappearance wasn't funny anymore, she had to go to the police and solicit for their help...
She was inclined to call Jacob since he is the only one who had volunteer to help her. Without much thought about iy, she pick the phone and dial Jacob's number....
She waited patiently with deep breathe.. Then she sigh, a sigh of relief when his voice came up after the third ring...
"Hello"Jacobs voice sounded from the other end...
Mary exhales, she wasn't sure hiw she was going to ask for his help...... "Hey is mary"She replied shabbily...
"Hey pretty, how are you doing.... "
Mary sigh, his voice wasn't that baritone.. It was light.. Sharp maybe......
"Is Manny back? Jacob ask...
"No she isn't "Mary reply shapily.... She hope she could say yes to the question... But oops...
"Actually am thinking of going to the police station.... "She added
She heard his low grunt from the phone, she just wonder what was running in his head.. Maybe it was probably a bad idea to call him.....
"Do you want me to go with you to the police station.?
Mary swallowed hardwshe just met this guy, the fact he followed her to find Manny the first time doesn't really means they are friends.. Even if it means they were friends hypothetically..... He could be busy with stuffs and she was just disturbing him with her issues of finding Manny, her best friend who is turning out to be not the best friend she know....
"Emm.. M... I could use your help but if you are busy you dont have to be worry i....
"Am coming over... Just wait there"Jacobs voice interjects....
She suck her teeth.. Then bit her lower lip... "Okay, thank you... "
She took a deep breathe as the call ended... She look out the window again, she stare at the gate and pray in her mind Manny or anyone who knows her whereabouts pass through the gate..... "Manny where are you?

FRANCIS gag as he pour another glass of alcohol in his mouth ,he brushed his hair with his hand, the thought of loosing her taunt him so much, he knew he made a mistake whe wouldn't have acted in front of her the way he did... He acted impulsively like a d**k... But he isn't going to let her go....
He took the whole bottle of brandy and gulp a little down his throat...
He sniff as the smell of alcohol protrude from his mouth...
"Come on man, that is the third bottle you are having, do you want to kill yourself... "His friend Peter said as he drop playboy erotic magazine he was reading.....
Francis sniff, not bothering to reply him...
"Give het sometime, she will come back, all girls come back"Peter added
Francis bug his eyes and gave hima killer look, then he continue drinking the brandy, his friend wasn't the righy person to understand how he feels, he was a playboy, a chronic womanizer.. How would a womanizer understand exactly how he feels, what it means when someone you love so much is slipping away from you.....
"You are going to die and may as well lose her to someone else if you continue drinking like a deranged lunatic.... "Peter said harshly...
Francis didn't reply, he just continue drinking.....
Peter realise his words were not going anywhere, without hesitation, he dragged the bottle from his hand...
"Are you crazy? Francis retorted...
"You think broozing yourself to stupor will solve anything....? Peter said back
Francis exhales, he lean his back on the chair.... "You won't understand what am feeling right now"
"I understand perfectly well how you are feeling right now"Peter snap...
He drop the bottle at the table, he look at Francis. "Look man, it wasn't your fault you had sex with someone else, all men have needs, you are not a wall, you get sexual urges and desires.. Mary should have understood that"
Francis sniff"I cheated on her"He said faintly

He exhales"Look man, i know very well she is a virgin and she intends to be one until she is married but she is a girl and you are a man, the two of you are in a relationship and in every relationship sex is a vital asset, a very essential commodity that can't be shunned, she deprived you of your needs, so it wasn't your fault you offload your assets elsewhere because if i were in your choose i would have probably done the same thing.. God one year without sex.... You really took a long time to splash your products on someone's face.... I wouldn't survive that long without sex....... "
Francis curl his lips.... "You dont se to understand what's going on here,do you?
Peter scoffs"Brother i understand perfectly well what's going on, she is hurt, you are hurt, you are scared of loosing her because you love her and those crazy other things but drinking yourself to dead isn't going to bring you guys back together ,if you want her back, handle it like a man, quit hiding your fears inside the bottle of a brandy...... "
Francis suck his teeth,Peter is right, he should handle things like a man, he is still sure Mary loves him, he saw that in her eyes the last he was at her place... He has betrayed her trust for him once, he won't do it again.. He is going to get her back.. No matter what he has to do. He loves her.. Love her too much to walk away... Mary was and still a diamond... A diamond he isn't ready to lose... Not to anyone, especially not to his fears..... "
