New Zealand is my dream as a tourist. I watched a lot about this country and I would really like to go there. They say that it is very expensive.

Can someone confirm the issue of work experience. From what I read on the NZ immigration site and quora, the work experience is for Trade qualification and not for Bachelor and masters degree holders. Anyone?

I'd like to know why do we have a dormant thread compare to other threads that are super active such as the Canadian, Australian, US, and other European countries?

Please, for those who are presently in NZ kindly share your experience to help guys here.

Because there are few people on this thread who are currently in NZ
to help people out on a daily basis ...

Also, very few people are truly serious about going to NZ considering the
ticket prices and lack of good info about there. ..

It’s because NZ is the least popular of all the countries mentioned in your post. You can’t compare the threads as there are more nairanlanders in those country who are willing to share info....... NZ is a small country, and not so many Africans are migrating here. You can compare with Norway, Iceland etc thread.

Most African in NZ are refugees from East Africa and some South Africa citizens

Many Nigerians today still don’t know there’s a country call New Zealand.... But it’s the favourite tourist destination for Europeans and Americans.

Yes, few Nigerians are in NZ.

Kindly share tips with the few people who are serious here.

Thanks to @Femijck for taking out time to share with us here. However,
we need more experienced NZ Nigerians that will also contribute.

Baba you are absolutely correct.

NZ is the least popular yet it remained the favorite tourist attraction for Europeans and few Americans.

Continue your good work here. God bless you.

If you have a valid info about NZ, visa and migration you are free to share and help others. You don’t have to be Nigerian, share how you approach your application and the route.

There are many route let’s share experience.
With partnership applications and general immigration questions , I have experience. There are people who have experience in other type of application so we need you to share.

Thanks

Your research is right. You only need work experience for trade qualification.

Please, who is going for the silver fern? Who knows how often they open for applications?

I have most of my monies tied where I don't have access to until January and would like to know if there's a chance for another round application around first quarter of 2019.

This NZ things are expensive tho; iqa is almost 200k! Canada's IQAS doesn't even cost up to 100k.

I think I got my answer to the frequency of rounds of application. It's yearly and only accommodates 300 per year.
If only one had known about this.

They grant admission to anybody who meet the requirements and have the fee..... nearly 70% of the students here are not local from what I’ve observed. They mostly Indians, Asian and some few others.
You’re allowed to work upto 20 hrs/ week legally while u study.
Also you’re eligible for about 3 years post study work visa.
Buts the price could range from between NGN 4.5-6 million per Annum . That’s around 20,000-30,000 NZD for international students

If I hear... that's a whole lot of money
I mean, 4.5 - 6 million per annum
That means hustle no go pay there.... Even with 20hours to work weekly

My brother, isn't there any scholarship package? 50% scholarship or sth... then you can be able to work your way through... I cant rely on home while abroad for sustainability (pardon my grammar)

What's the average pay per hour for students work
Can you recommend any sch?

Thanks for your kind advice/guidelines

Minimum wage is $16.5, ur wage will depend on your employer and ur experience. You can work full time during the breaks.

But some students do menial job for cash outside their 20hrs legal working hours. But that’s a breach of their visa conditions.

Dear All,
My cousin recently applied for New Zealand visitor Visa online. In fact he has submitted his application since october 9, 2018 hoping to get results witihin the stipulated 25 days maximum. But till now, no decision has been made. He submitted with all supporting documents online and paid the visa fees through his gtb atm card. He had to send them a query message last week and was replied after three days as follows:

Dear xxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting us.

Your Visitor Visa application was allocated to Case Officer on 25th October and is still under process. You may opt to include a cover letter requesting your visa application to be done on priority manner and attach supporting documents in relation to your request. However, I cannot offer any guarantees as these types of request are reviewed by the processing branch based on its merits.

I hope this has been helpful.

Till now, he has not received any further update and he needs to attend a conference on Dec. 2 in Auckland. He has already paid for the conference.

Please advise on what to do.

This is not unusual as I have mentioned before.
When you’re applying for a visa, give it enough processing time.

INZ recently closed some of their overseas visa processing branch and most applications from around the world are now been processed in NZ.

There’s a huge backlog with application and u can only wait till it’s your turn on the queue.

I will advise you write again and ask for your case officer email address..... sometimes they give it out, sometimes they don’t depending on who you happen to speak with.

But check the email address you registered with the application if there’s any email from the case officer. Then u can reply and tell him or her your concerns, attaching the details of the conference.
Do it in a humble way and don’t be over confident in the email.

Cheers
