Peter Obi, Ghost Of The Past And Reality Of Today by globemoney: 6:31pm On Nov 09, 2018
Never live in today like tomorrow won’t come, while he reigned supreme as the lord of the manor, he exhibited certain needless manifestations that were antithetical to common sense. In a swift moment of needless impulse, he bundled some northerners, mostly those who engaged in menial jobs for survival and marched them in trailer load back to their base. To him, these guys had no business being in Anambra State. Those who were allowed to stay behind were marked with identity ropes dangling on their necks. This same lethargic indecision was extended to neighboring southeastern states when he sacked civil servants who aren’t indigenes of Anambra State. They were tragic decisions that left a sore reference in the idea of one Nigeria. Nothing breaks the fiber of a society like the flagrant display of divisiveness.

Mr Peter Obi is dangerously being haunted by the hubris of his self-inflicted past, like a book every chapter is open to unbury gaffes, lies and double-faced personality. In one of his outings on the popular talk show platform, he regaled the audience on his prudent and austere lifestyle, so excited was he that he announced to the boisterous crowd of having just a wristwatch! He was cheered to high heavens as that leader that isn’t defined by the ostentatious bait of life. In the same vein, the soft-spoken former governor of Anambra announced his penchant for traveling on economic class, not staying in expensive hotels and bragging of owning just a house. These were however punctured as a house in the United Kingdom was traced to him with pictures of him adorning different shades of wristwatches.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) running mate to Alhaji Atiku in the forthcoming presidential elections was also recently busted with the echoes of his past stance when he vehemently referred to Muhammadu Buhari as being too old to be president in 2015. According to him, a 72-year-old man has no business. Unfortunately, Mr Obi is today standing in supportive tissue with Atiku who is 72 years old! Talk about consistent inconsistency. Tracing the many inconsistencies of Peter Obi was the reported embarrassing situation where the convoy of the former governor was sighted and caught in front of Next International Offices in Apapa, Lagos, carrying a whopping sum of N250 million in raw cash. Public calculations were made and plausible questions were put forth on why a ‘financially disciplined’ former banker would have to move a quarter of a billion naira in this era of seamless electronic cash transfer?

Is Mr Peter Obi living a two-faced life where what he preaches is in variance with who he is? Did the man overrate himself in sanctimonious garb to hoodwink the people when in measurable sense there are frightening contradictions in his personality? Should we allow Obi’s sheer boost of falsehood in the face of glaring truth? In every element of the future, there is an iota of the past. Those who look up to the future must have their past in tandem to the reality of today. It would be unfair to allow the inconsistencies in the beautiful profile of Peter Obi to sail on when he can address them now that he seeks the mandate of the people. Leadership founded on deceit is a catalyst to a dysfunctional society. We are where we are because of where we are coming from and where we are today determines where we will be tomorrow.

Whoever must lead us must carry the ware of integrity in character and deeds; never again shall we go back to the era where lies and deceits were the ingredients of existence. Great nations are made when the people are governed by people defined by the true spirit of honesty, moral compass, and by leaders whose patriotism overwhelm their personal interests devoid of primordial sentiments. This is the time to scrutinise the characters of our leaders beyond what they throw at us. For Mr Peter Obi, he alone can bury the ghosts of the past by coming out clean in his true character.

great article, the character called peter obi also introduced religious politics to Anambra state, pitching the catholic against the anglicans. Today he is everywhere packaging himself as as saint when his administration was a disaster in Anambra state

Atiku has shown to be a novice politically, with all his baggage he went and looked for another person with even more baggage than him to deputize him. Kolewerk?

It's now confirmed that Obiano is after Peter Obi and would stop at nothing to see him fail in 2019.

Fingers crossed

All these allegations are null and void, baseless and of no effect.

The issue of his UK house has been deflated a long time ago and as such won't come up.

Am yet to see strong argument to nail obi.

Am not interested in beating about the bush....

Strong accusations not old ones that has been deflated over time.

We would take the message below to every home in the North to make a decision for themselves
Buhari is long dead and buried in Saudi Arabia.

This is a simple analytical process anybody can perform from the comfort of their own home. Ask yourself:

1. Why did the Fulani cabal say that Jubril will not debate Atiku during the forthcoming presidential debate as is the tradition? Why are they suggesting that Osinbajo should replace him when Osinbajo is not the presidential candidate?
2. Has anyone wondered why Jubril cannot speak Fulfude which is the indigenous Fulani language? Some of us don’t know that Fulani people have their own separate language and it’s not Hausa.

3. Pay close attention to the back of Jubril’s fingers and neck to see he’s between 45 to 55 of age and nowhere near 75 the advertised age of Buhari. The youthful appearance of the back of his hand and neck does not correspond with the aged face which came about as a result of extensive plastic surgery in London which the British government is fully aware of.
4. Ask yourself why Jubril doesn’t do live televised interviews in Nigeria anymore? The real Buhari did live interviews with question and answer sessions, why not this person impersonating him?

5. If you doubt that the man in Aso Rock is Buhari, ask him (Jubril) to remove his cap. The dead Buhari is bald at the crown of the head. Any reasonable person will know a receding hairline when they see one. Look at Buhari’s fake certificate issued yesterday and the face of Jubril and tell me is it’s the same person receiving the fake certificate from WAEC.

6. Jubril the Sudanese impostor, the present occupant of Aso Rock and self-acclaimed president of Nigeria has a full set of hair, he is not bald. This is easiest test that will convince even staff in Aso Rock that Buhari is not the man they are working for but an impostor pretending to be the dead Nigerian president.
As soon as the public are fully conversant with these facts, I will unleash the DNA results to bring this matter to an earth shattering end.------Nnamdi Kanu

The 250 million money laundry case has never been deflated. It was just swept under the carpet and could be reopened any moment.

As much as I'm not a fan of Peter Obi, I hate when.people twist stories to mean something else

Peter Obi said he owns only one house in Nigeria, Onitsha to be precise. He never said he doesn't own any other property outside Nigeria. The house that was traced to him also listed that he bought the house long before he entered politics

Peter Obi said that he has worn the wristwatch on his wrists at that time for 17 years. He never said that he doesn't own any other wristwatch.

The 250 million Naira that Peter Obi's aid was caught with was later shown to be payment for a contractor who prefared cash than cheque

hahahaha your a learner, so the contractor preferred to be paid the cash abroad because the aide in question was caught trying to ferry the cash abroad.

What is the essence of saying you have only worn one watch for 17 years when you have other watches?

About the house, peter obi was very clear that he only has one house that he doesnt need houses in America, South Africa etc, go and watch the video and stop defending the indefensible

I was thinking it was 250 million dollars sef! So someone with Peter obi pedigree (established business man) carrying 250M has now become a crime? You are truly deluded. When has it become a crime to carry cash of that value? I see people- business men, traditional rulers and people from all work of life carrying physical cash for transaction. Try tell those builders and artisans building houses that you will pay them digitally if they will not curse you.

I can see you are very desperate to tarnish the reputation of the man. He is not a saint and not probably above mistakes. He is human and very fallible. But trying to pin all this inconsequential rubbish on him is dead on arrival. Stop being sanctimonious op,even Western politicians are not above board, except you are looking for Jesus Christ.

I will not be drawn into any back and forth brickbat. This post will suffice

You will be disappointed. No amount of propangda will save PDP. PDP is no longer in power so the era of writing fake results is gone, remember APC won PDP is Anambra after all the noise online during the last Guber elections. What will happen is that the results for presidential election will be shared between APGA, PDP and APC in ANambra
