Engineers in the house please come to my aid. My recently bought fairly used 206 is making me sick and crazy. It cuts fan belt on a daily basis, mechanics have turned me to an ATM. They said I need to change adjuster which I did but still there's no any change. It has cut over 10 belts for the period of just 2weeks. Cc GAZZUZZ |

The car is a 206 with e10 406 engine. |

Check the engine seat. the engine is not set properly on its seat. it happened to my car in 2008 2 Likes |

Buy original belts (not the 800 type), Buy the correct size of belt Check the AC compressor and alternator pulleys if they are sharp /serrated and replace if yes. In addition to all above. When I had that issue it was the alternator pulley, someone had hit it with a tool or something so it had a sharp edge that kept slicing belt. I changed that about 2 years ago and haven't had belts cut on me, I just change them when frayed or worn now. 3 Likes |
