Hello guys. I just ordered my GCMS note cos of the recent delay in making decisions from their London office. My application is now 20weeks and 4days. How long will it take to get GCMS note delivered to my email address?

I've just been denied.
After 4months and 2days.

Paper route.
Applied on the 12th July, 2018.
No upfront medicals.

After months of waiting I just got an sms from vfs now that my processed passport is ready for collection. I guess that's it right?!
Denial.

Excruciatingly painful.

Or is it possible that..........
Nah...I don't think so. It's denial.

Sorry bro
Very very painful

Email your school And defer your admission to spring real quick.
Then Chill, restrategize and refire
(Please try and request for gcms note)
Sorry bro

Bless you

Take heart mehn.

It can be really painful, especially after waiting for so long.

If it's indeed a refusal (although I should subtle say that I think I have read here someone got approval without medical), just go through the denial reasons and re-apply. If you have time on your hands you may want to order for your GCMS note.

30 to 35 days
Though seeing a peep here that got his GCMS in 20 days cause his visa was still on the process so yours might come before 30 days

Good day house, please I need your suggestions. I am married and my wife is currently in US with my 1+ old Son(citizen but my wife is not).

I am submitting my visa application(undergraduate) tomorrow but I want to be sure if I’m submitting all that I need to submit. I have all the application forms filled and ready together with previous travel docs(Dubai and SA), deposit confirmation slip, CAC from my sponsor, financial support letter and bank statement.

Please what else do I need to take along that will make it easy for me to get the visa?

Note: I’m applying for an undergraduate course.
Thanks

I am not a guru but in your case, I was expecting to see self-sponsored and all

You are married with a sweet boy US citizen, my brother, why can't you sponsor yourself? And what exactly is your home tie? Cause your folks are in the US
Plus I hope your sop is fully grounded cause you've got a lot of work to convince the VO why undergraduate level prove to them what you've been doing, that's more reason you have to come out as a self-sponsor my brother.
Anyways, peeps have gotten the visa with the same profile

Masters Study permit
Applied since 11 May
Biometrics since 23 May
Medical passed 28 August
ElIgibility passed 13 September
Original passport request 18 September
Updated bank statement requested and submitted 9 October
No response since!!! My passport kept for almost 2 months.
Meanwhile online status shows background check in process and conclusion: "Application approved, send us your passport to conclude processing"
Any one with passport held like this?

The possibility of the bolded is very very rare. If you had linked your application online, you would have known your fate immediately because once a decision is made, a correspondence letter will be updated on your MyCIC account.

It is highly impossible for a Nigerian to be approved for study permit without medicals. We shouldn't give ourselves any hope that is not there.

Yes oo Mr Frank .. I intend to remove some pages from the 3 months SOA... Lol. I have 140 pages of SOA alone .

Wow! 3 months SOA with 140 pages, that's much. Please it's better you go for paper route considering that your documents are bulky and you've other supporting documents (proof of income) to upload in the proof of financial support column. I won't advice you to remove any part of your SOA, in connection with the fact that is one of the crucial document when it comes to Canada study visa and shouldn't be tampered.

My advice, go for paper route!

No! It doesn't... The essence of linking an application online is to keep track of the progress of your application. It doesn't in anyway delay the visa application process.

Chief! You self no get joy o! grin grin Well to the bolded, Over my existence on this thread, I can only account for one applicant (a very good friend of mine) who got his TRV without being instructed to go for a medical exam. I confirmed his approval to be authentic being that I was in a close contact with him throughout the process and when he finally picked up his passport at the VFS with his visa affixed on his Passport. As I am talking to you right now, he is currently studying in Canada. Therefore, It's not impossible okay, but the possibility of seeing such an approval is very very very RARE

Cheers!

Background check comes after eligibility review. I have a feeling that after passing eligibility, there is still the hurdle of background check to be cleared.
Austacus:

Sorry bro, it is well.
What I noticed was that your eligibility review started and went back to a background check
The two guys that experience this got a refusal bullshit(you and @mightyola). Does this mean when your visa cross to eligibility review, chances of approval is high? Gurus in the house, what do you think about this? And why would eligibility review reverse back to the background check? Dem miss road at first? Cause when both of they complained initially I was thinking it was an internet glitch (honestly these VOs are making this visa thing completely unpredictable)

SOP is not a compulsory requirement for a study permit application, although it helps to provide clarity to the Visa officer about your primary intention of travelling to Canada to undertake your proposed program in which you're accepted in.

A typical SOP should reflect the following:
1-) Describe your academic background briefly.
2-) The program of choice.
3-) The school.
4-) Why you choose Canada not Nigeria.
5-) How you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working.
6-) What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you and your country in the future. (Your Short term and Long term after study plan).
7-) Your ties to Nigeria that can compel your return back home after studies.

As I said earlier, it's not compulsory as many applicants have gotten their TRV without writing/including one. The decision is yours to make, whether to write or not.

All the best as you proceed to the VFS to complete your biometrics.

Very true! SA and Dubai Visas aren't regarded as a good travel history by CIC. A good travel histories are first-rate countries like US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, France etc..

I understand your point but let base our hope on the one that is certain
Refusal is not a big deal as far as Canada visa is a concern. Is not about being empathetic or not. I have seen somebody with good travel history to UK, USA, Canada, France, Germany and Australia been refused and funny enough, the VO mentioned limited travel history in the GCMS notes. That is Kenya VO for you.
So being refused Canada visa is not somebody we will be beating about the bush for.

Hey guys, this is my first-time on here, fortunately stumbled on this forum after my refusal a week ago. Please I need help to help re-strategize and reapply again. I was refused based on the fact that I might not return after the course of my studies due to purpose of visit, personal and financial situation, travel history and employment status. Presently, my dad is sponsoring the whole process with about 14m , I am presently unemployed (did voluntarily work as an intern for 6months ), no family assets in my name as I am the second child, no travel history, and I am going to do a PGD programme in leadership in global business practices (hrm and IBM) a 2 years program at thunder bay Canada (confederation college) , have a first degree of international studies and diplomacy , . Please I need help and advice on how to re package my application and solve all these issues raised . Please a reply would be greatly appreciated
