Wait but you go fit name your Child Judas or Hitler? grin grin grin

My people perish for lack of knowledge.

"Judas" is actually the same name as "Judah". They both mean " Praise ". So if you can name your son " Praise", you can as well name him "Judas".

That the betrayer of Jesus happened to be named " Judas" doesn't make the name bad. There have been other people named Judas who achieved great sucess and lived lives of righteousness. An example is the Jewish hero Judas Maccabeus who led the revolt against the pagan Greek Emperor Antiochus. (forgive the history lesson).

I've seen people named "Blessing" die in poverty, people named "Wisdom" do very stupid things....the list is endless. At the end of the day what matters is our hardwork, talent and maybe a bit of luck. Our names are just names. Nothing more. Like Shakespeare said "a rose, called by any other name, will still smell as sweet".

They've got really funny sounding names.

Beroms - Jang, Kim, Dung, Chung, Kangyang, kachollom, Nyam, Weng Pam e.t.c

Ngas - Golkit, Polit, Gotum, Gomwalk, etc

Mangu - Nwanret, plangdes, Nandes, Pankyes, Lukyes etc.

Jarawa - Aweng, Apam, Atang

I am an Igbo boy born and bred in Plateau like P square, Mikel, Saint Obi, Obinna Nsofor etc. Plateau is a very beautiful land with spring water scattered across the state. They are core catholics like the Igbos and interaction with them and Igbos is so fluid....No domination threat or propaganda. The place was the seat of the ancient Kwararafa kingdom that ruled the middlebelt . They are very peaceful but the worst you can do is to push them to the wall....They fight like demons!

Their land is so richly blessed for agriculture and vast land and their major occupation is farming. Jos, the capital of the state houses the legendary St Mulumba boys college that produced some of the famous Nigeria. Bishop/Cardinal Ganaka is from Jos.

Plateau state is a state rich with different cultures.

Haven't had the opportunity to read about their history though.

Uchebo? shocked

Nigeria’s topflight football league is again ready to receive a Nigerian international who plied his trade offshore. The ongoing transfer window has seen interest from Super Eagles 2014 World Cup star Michael Uchebo who is currently linked with a potential move to Aiteo Cup title holders, Rangers Int’l FC just a few days after Juwon Oshaniwa penned a deal with Akwa United ahead of the start of 2018/2019 season.
According to reports, Uchebo is believed to have agreed personal terms with Rangers Int’l with an announcement due in the days to come.
The 28-year old forward struggled to keep his career afloat since moving to Europe with the recent problem he had with Portuguese side Boavista, where he was ostracized from the team and wasn’t paid for months, having joined the Club back in 2014 from Belgian club Cercle Brugge before his release in June 2017.
Uchebo has featured for Nigeria at the Under-20 and Under-23 levels before being handed a call-up by late Stephen Keshi for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The NPFL’s attraction to Nigerians abroad might be a glimmer of hope for the league as the players would bring a level of international experience to their prospective clubs.

I don't so much believe in those "names following people thing" . Even though the meaning of my English name is Rock and I ended up in a profession that studies Rocks. However, one thing I know is there are certain names that people would not want to be associated with like I mentioned Judas and Hitler.

Forget this thing u are saying I know you will not dare name your son Judas or Hitler.

That's one way we can revive our leagues. If only our aging high profile footballers who have made names for themselves in Europe will decide to retire in the NPFL, we could start getting people interested in our league again. Imagine if Enyeama decides to return to Enyimba. With the cult like following and legendary reputation he has built for himself, the Enyimba stadium will be packed every matchday. The South Americans use this strategy all the time.

Sadly, with the poor organization, welfare, equipment and security with which our local league has become synonymous, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

If I had my way, this would be my lineup against SA.

Success is in the best shape among all the strikers now.

Chukwueze ahead of Kalu is a no brainer. Kalu came late to camp and he hasn't really covered himself in glory in the he GWG shirt.

Ogu is too slow for my liking, hence I chose to partner Etebo with Ajayi.

I dont have Faith in any of the goalkeepers in camp, so, whoever gets picked, I can only wish he comes good

Those are the exceptions. To every rule there are exceptions.

But let's be honest with ourselves, which of those players you mentioned has made a "MEANINGFUL impact" since they joined the SE?. Which one of them can't be easily replaced? Which one is a standout performer for us?. The answer is a big fat ZERO!!!.

I'm not trying to castigate Rohr or anything but the facts speak for themselves.

A good scouting system targets players for the positions where there is a genuine lack of talent. We didn't have a proper AM in the build up to the WC (since Rohr blatantly refused to use Iwobi as an AM). The lack of cohesion in our midfield in the pre-WC games buttressed this fact. A good scouting coach would've concentrated on finding us an AM. He would've spotted a certain young and talented youngster named Ebere Eze playing regularly in the Championship. There are also the Onomahs and others scattered all over the world. But instead, he chose to play a career defensive midfielder as a 10 against Croatia, boasting of one the best midfield personnels in the modern game. The rest is history.

Gernot Rohr is certainly good in many aspects, but we cannot but note that his playerg scouting has left much to be desired.

Did you know that out of the five players I mentioned four are guaranteed starters

You said they were exceptions??

You say they had no meaningful impact

What a bunch of gibberish undecided
