I think it is very telling.

With all the depravity and extremism that is regularly seen on this forum.

That it's peaceful secessionist that Nairaland have a zero tolerance policy on.

Very telling about how Nigeria sees Igbos/easterners

Seun:
Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.

Thanks,
Seun (Founder Of Nairaland).

Like really

is this what nigeria is becoming....even youths are busy running around like military jumtas...what happened to freedom of speech...I am not igbo but will be damned if people like you who should know better start going the route of those you grow up claiming you dislike...I guess a little bit of money and knowing people in govt turns you into who you really are

I understand the fact that freedom of expression is banned in Nigeria. Seun have even proved it now. Yorubas learn how to stand for yourselves, you can’t be cowards all the time. Simply because you benefit from this shithole called Nigeria, your senses have been stagnant. Now Seun wants to join Nigerian news papers to stifle the cry of a suppressed people. You can block me anyways, I only read the wise comments under your “fake news” that’s where the real news lies.

Dealsaround:

May be you should answer your own question,"what happened to freedom of speech"? And opinion I should add. You are attacking the OP because he said he would prefer a united Nigeria and trying to hold him to a supposed attitude of his fore-fathers. The truth is that the no ethnic group has great love for the other, and this is not peculiar to Nigeria as a country. There's hatred everywhere in the world amongst the divides, but the truth is that we are better off together in Nigeria. The unison dilutes the hatred the so called Biafrans for their own. Same with the rest of the nation. Nigeria's problem is not the unity, it's corruption. The get rich quick way of life, and "the end justifies the means" mentality are not making it any easy.

I have one question for you smartie pants; will you be willing to give your life to see this sessesion happen? After you heard about Ojukwu's escape and Nnamdi Kanu disapperance you steal want to trust somebody yelling Biafra. They just ride on your ignorance to fame and richies. Don't trust an African man in a position of power. Period

Hey ....could care less if Nigeria stays one or not..i am neither on the side of biafrans or nigerians...i an on the side of freedom of speech...if that is hard for you to understand..good luck with your country

Stayig united by force is what led to kosovo and the genocide in rwanda...people have a right to their destinies and u,the op ans also myself cant do nothing about it..its their lives ans they deserve to either uplift it or ruin it by their choices

Oga Seun no want bad market. Frankly Seun I don't know what you're afraid of. Are you scared of what will become of the name "Nairaland" should this sham of an entity called Nigeria be dissolved along with the naira currency, the name Nairaland will making little sense and having a much less impact in the future or is that you were threatened?

Have you thought for a second how amazing it will be, how much it will benefit Africa and even certain parts of the world should the Igbos, Niger Deltans, Yorubas and Hausas go their separate ways and adopt their individual languages as their official language, form their own currencies as well as government, political social and economic structures and blueprint rather continuing to live according to the blueprint of the West which by the way we wrongly and poorly apply because it does not fit into the genuine nature and identify of the Black race?

Nigeria, like most African countries is merely a product of the West. We have been living under their shadows, according to their terms, time and place since God knows when. Going our separate ways is the first step towards freedom, towards breaking away from the chains and bondage of colonialism and neocolonialism. It is very sad that a select few benefiting heavily along side the western imperialists from the present status quo of this entity founded on lies, fraud and deception called Nigeria, will not stand for it's dissolution. It is very very unfortunate.

For you to abuse Seun shows you are poorly cultured. If you feel you are man enough go create your site and management it by your Biafra rules and law not here.

what he said is right, segun simply want to be bias here...he is hiding under the idea of I love Igbo's and deltans and I don't want to loose them to stop them from getting information from this forum.he has forgotten that they are also contributing to this forum..if all biafrans decide to pull of this forum,I surely know segun will be on the loosing side..so while trying to stop their information's.
