Bruh, Dubai visa only takes 3 days... maximum should be 1 week. What the heck is taking him 3 months? I'm beginning to detest agents now because they are not straightforward. Ask him questions like where is the location of the job, name of the company, job position, salary, add ons like transportation, feeding, visa, accommodation, etc. Open eye well o bruh

if you read my previous post, you will see where I mentioned the criteria for finding job here, yes there are thousands of job seekers here but everyone’s destiny & hustling spirit ain’t the same, I got jobs in my 2nd month here & my visit visa kalas before my employment visa came out, so I’m not painting UAE as if job will be somewhere waiting for those willing to come, I could remember we were 4 Nigerian guys, 1 Cameron guy, 1 Nigerian girl & 2 Cameron girls that were searching for job then same time back in 2016, the Cameroon guy got a job in less than a week cos his brother over here connected him, the Nigerian girl got a job before 1 month, I & the other 3 Nigerians got jobs as well, one of the Nigerian guy was asked to exit cos his visa was about to expire, the company sent him employment visa while in Nigeria with flight ticket (Emirates), the 2 Cameroon ladies didn’t find job, though they were not serious cos they neglected some open interviews and they hardly go out to submit CVs.

To cut the story short; I’m no hyping UAE, it all depends on individual. To all the job seekers, don’t patronize job agents, 99% of them are scammers. If you come & didn’t find a job, that’s not the end of the world. Maybe God have other plans for you

I don’t like sharing my Dubai experience cos it was a pathetic one; but let me brief about it for those who think I’m hyping UAE.

I came to Dubai during Ramadan period when job was scare and the sun was hot enough to boil beans, the weather at 7am is like that of 1pm in the northern part of Nigeria, my 1st 3 nights in Dubai, I slept on the floor in a bedspace of about 20 people, when I got a better bedspace through a nairalander; (may God continue to bless him). After one month I couldn’t pay for bedspace and I was chased out with all my belongings, I was homeless for some days , I wouldn’t mention where I was sleeping, until the same nairalander pleaded with the owner of the bedspace to allow me sleep on the same bed with him while I pay little money monthly (200aed), that was how both of us were sleeping on one bed (upper bed) for 2 months, my family were sending money to me from Nigeria, then I could hardly sleep at night yet I was determined never to give up, that was how I was surviving till I got a job after 3 months and 5 days.

Now from grass to grace
Then my company accommodation wasn’t ready so I was lodged in a hotel for 3 months together with other employees, also the cafeteria wasn’t ready and we were been paid additional 1000aed for feeding. This can only be God cos His grace found me.

UAE is not easy but with God & hardwork, you will succeed

I can see your level of understanding, you’re just here to make baseless argument, if you don’t grab anything from the post; read & pass. Or better still don’t read,

When I say sending money, do you know much & how often, the only money I needed was to pay for bedspace and transportation, as for feeding,, I came with enough foodstuffs cos I knew the journey wasn’t gonna be an easy one.

Bro at this point all she needs is encouragement. Yes you warned her, but bro let me ask you, did u remember the reason why you yourself left Nigeria in the first place? Yea, I bet you; it might interest you now that the case in Nigeria is times 10 of what it used to be 3yrs back. In this country called Nigeria it is no even encouraging investing your in any business anymore, bcoz the chances that u won't realize ur capital is high. If business are moving in this country I dn't think any1 wud spend almost or over a million juz to leave the country.

Please, do encourage her. I don't knw her, but for her to come bck here means she doesn't want to end up like those other ladies who spoil our name over there.

Now, I've been following this thread since this year, and i've been in touch with people over there as well. My msg to all those still intending to move to uae, it is important we understand that the journey is not going to be a rosy one, forget evrytin ur agent must hv told u, from all indications, they are only trying to make their agent fee from u and that's all.

For me, i've seen enough reason to say to hell with uae, but i have even enougher/enoughest reason (if there's any word like that) to leave this country Nigeria; my only regret was why I never thought of it earlier before now. I used to have a very booming business not until it started going down and finally I could not continue with the rent and have to close it up.

10 out 100 peoples is what u called favor, just say the truth as it is and I bet u 95% will change their mind once they know the truth about uae, I won't even advice anyone to waste 500k coming to Dubai, we are 7 in number 3yoruba and 4 Igbo guys, 6 of us return back because of job and 1 guy enter street when his visa kalas, so what ever I said is out of experience, although in our own case police character certificate play a vital role

I'm pleading with all Nigerians in diaspora to always represent us well, with what we are passing thru in uae and other countries around the world, I'll say this is simply what we brought upon ourselves. You can imagine, a friend of mine was told how well she was at an interview but will not be taken simply bcoz the Director had a bitter experience with a former Nigerian staff; employers prefer Filipino, Indian, Sri Lanka before considering Africa and in Africa, they consider every other African before Nigerian, this is really bad.

Our Nigerian brothers/sisters over there will collect agent fee juz to help with job even when they knw u're frustrated, must we put money before everytin For once, I've seen something I juz can't blame our leaders of.

This is somtin we need to start considering; around the world the name Nigeria means evry bad tin u can tink of. I'm begging those of us in uae to kick start a campaign where we can rebuild a good name for Nigeria and Africa. Let consider our unborn children, what future are we planning to leave for them, with all that is happening will they ever going to be able to transact business with other countries during their time without being tagged 'fraud', 'cheat', 'fighter', and evry other bad names we're known of today

Again, this particular issue is something we can't blame our evil leaders for, these things we brought on ourselves, and we shud take responsibility to fix it.

In Malaysia we are know for bad
In Turkey we are know for bad
In Italy we are know for bad
In USA the same
In Qatar we are know for bad
And other country's

The truth is it will become more difficult to get employed ,and even your employers will be afraid of you because they don't know your motive in the next few min and the best they can do is quietly lay you off (sack) and pick other nationality where they can have piece of mind and sleep with their 2 eyes closed...

We are celebrating fraudulent activities not knowing the implications of it on your fellow brother gathering small money in other country just like UAE

The people (of nigeria) over there at UAE I will be happy if a campaign is organized to create a good name for yourself over there and not just for yourself but for your unborn children..let the sins of the father not visit the children

Nonny G your experience and story is a good one and u were one of the guys that motivated me. But bro. It’s really getting worse now. One Kenyan lady told me that he admires Nigerians smartness but that the sins of our brothers is now affecting us. I really felt bad but she was right. Our spoken English is cleared heard but yet employers wil choose to employ any other nationality just to have a peace of mind. People sale their only. Asset to come here with the high hopes the agent or their friend that wants to eat their money gave dem. Personally I was told I wil start work the second day wen I come to Uae lolz. But I never believed in any of those promises. I had plan A to Z. I trekked under hot sun soaked in my sweat but I thank God for where I am now. Night G is easier for us with uae experience to get another job but for freshers. It takes grace even wen they know u are better than others but ur country name wil screen u out. Please let’s be a good ambassador of this country Nigeria. Help our brothers without thinking about this agent fee always. I encourage all the intending travelers and those searching for job. Walk in to that office and ask if they are recruiting. Dress smart and look good. Don’t let anyone see u are frustrated from ur dressing or looks. And I promise you that u wil be surprise of wat u wil get. Good morning everyone

Let me use my experience for a example. I was charged 4K dirhams for a three months visa by a very very close friend. He asked me to budget 1200dirhams for agent fee and that I wil start work d second day I come. I made provisions for all the cash but I used it to pay for Sira. I can comfortably tell u that I hv not seen that my friend who did visa for me ever since I came to Dubai. Na just chat lolz. Believe in yourself and don’t be lazy. You need enough money for your transportation cos that the most important thing. U can budget 830dirhams and subscribe for 90days bus and metro card unlimited which u wil use to go anywhere in Dubai. Or do wkly pass or monthly pass. Thanks.
Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by murphybo(m): 6:13am On Dec 20, 2018
The only truth I believe in and I will always advise people coming to UAE is to ensure they come with GENUINE EMPLOYMENT VISA otherwise your chance of not getting work is higher than getting, let who have ears listen. Forget about saying there are chances, indeed there are truly but how many people are competing on the said chances? Not even now so many company are folding up cos they can't meet up. I know mnumber of applications rolling in daily in my company despite not recruiting and am very sure that's it almost everywhere. Discrimination on we blacks is another great threat most especially Nigerians. Lemme share one experience which is very bad one, imagine we went for a contract interview and my supervisor was telling me if they ask me where am from I should not say Nigeria, I should tell him Ghana or Cameroon, I was so ashamed of my self as a Nigerian. Like o used to say in this forum Ain't discouraging anybody from traveling cos d money aren't coming from me,but I like to always encourage you in the hard way with bitter truth, without raising your hope in any way which I believe will make you prepare for the worst and get right reward. Here I am again with my calculations if you like call it stupid again
Cost of Visit visa 3month with flight at least #500.000
Bedspace, Transport, feeding at least #100.000
Average total #600k probability of your #600k to go for tourism is high as at present UAE moment to even the risk of visa Change which will still cost you more. Compare to if you see a GENUINE DIRECT EMPLOYMENT which will definitely cost you more or even double. N:B too many fake people parading themselves as agent is major reason most people in this forum always advise you to come and see yourself to avoid been duped but will always forget to tell you your money is also on high risk of loosing so choose wisely.
