This so disturbing. I'm applying for the first time and I can't apply in south Africa..they said I must apply in my home country that's why I came here to play.

What do u advice me bro.

post=74177961] I applied for rewal of my relative spouse visa also around that time you applied but after two months without response I withdrew my application, that is around September and luckily I still had about a month before my previous visa expires, I flew immediately back to SA and reapply and in less than two months my visa was issued. Another thing I observed at vfs South Africa they don’t take your passport, after you submit your application you will go back with your passport, when the visa is issued you will come with your passport and they will put your visa in it.[/quote]

Hello House, finally I got my visa though it came late, I suppose to attend an event last month but I couldn't make it because my visa came late. But thinking of traveling to SA to spend few days with the visa by January this will be my first time of flying out of Nigeria. I need an advice on how to book cheap flights and accommodation, how can I also get visa of countries close to SA on this same trip.

Gurus advice needed.

I think am in good position to advise you on this. Lol. Alright congrats on the visa. On cheap flight, I’ll probably advise you buy if from AirNamibia but it should be that you’re flying from Ghana, why because they’ doing serious promo in Ghana. Apart from the fact that you will save almost $200 or more, you will also transit Namibia which is a plus on getting your passport more tattoos and Ghana own too will be included. As for cheap accommodation, abeg use Airbnb but find a good neighborhood, SA is crime capital, remember. But I think Airbnb is really cool and cheap, I got some both in joburg and Cape Town and I’ll be there January. It’s my first trip to the place and I pray it will be fruitful and fun. Estimate on ticket from Ghana to SA through airnamibia is $460. That’s what I paid for mine. And you can transit there without their visa since you got SA visa and SA is your destination. I hope this helps you. To my SA people sorry for the “crime capital” remarks. It’s just what google feeds everyone online..

By the time he factors in cost of flight to Ghana, will the $200 difference worth it again?

he should travel by road to Ghana, its just hours away.
that $200 go help pay for his feeding while in SA for some days.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by iamkingrobert: 10:15pm On Dec 26, 2018
If he comes to Ghana by road it will be very good. I mean bro that’s you going through different countries and having your passport stamped through the borders. Estimate from Naija to Ghana by road should be 20K for a virgin passport like yours. I live in Ghana and I came by road on my last trip and it was my first time using the road with my passport too. It was fun, met new people and experience the borders. I don’t know about you but I love adventure. You will still save trust me, because SA airways is now about 240K return ticket from Nigeria and Ghana is even worse using the airline. Too expensive. Also using Nigeria airport to SA as a newbie traveler them go wan chop your pocket for airport o. Last thing, please don’t forget to carry your yellow card. Also know that AirNamibia only fly weekend from Ghana. The traffic here no much like Naija.

There is no point traveling to Ghana from Nigeria just to join a flight to SA. It’s Extra stress. The way you av bn talking about d air Namibia thing as if u r an agent. Abeg. Rwanda air and Ethiopian air give better service and they are quite cheap too. And take a chill. You’ve not even been to SA b4. Wait till u get there b4 giving pple hyped information.

@homody, you can get a return trip on Rwandair for about N150k from Lagos to Johannesburg. Even by January ending. Check flights on travelstart.

Yes walk into the general hospital. There is no big process. If they agreed to sign it for you without going through any test that will be a plus for you.

Summary.

If SAA is not your thing,
Rwanda air and Ethiopia air give very affordable prices just plan your journey.

Travelling to Ghana for the sole purpose of catching a "cheap flight" to SA isn't worth the stress unless of course you are doing it for the thrill.

And let me correct the impression that having plenty stamps on your passport reduces the probability of officials disturbing you at the airport. That's not necessarily the case. Even frequent travellers have to deal with them often. Just ensure that you know your rights and stick to it.

Don’t be worried, I believe it took 15 working days for mine to come out. So you’re still within the time frame. Lastly do remember it’s Christmas holiday. So that may also be Factor in when calculating the timing..

Hello senior fellas.
Compliments of the season guys.
I applied for the South African police clearance in November as a requirement to renew my student visa that will expire in January.
7 weeks after I have still not gotten the clearance and I already have my return ticket booked for 11 January,2019.
Please I need your kind advice as I have every other document ready for visa renewal but the SAPS clearance.
A friend told me of someone that renews with just Nigerian police clearance but I don’t want to believe him blindly.
Thanks.
