Oga, i'm a product of UI, and i can boldly tell you that theres no such thing as "sorting" in UI......i dont know about other schools ooo, but UI......its a NO NO.
The lecturers there own other professional businesses of their own which sorts out their financial burdens, and are equally disciplined.
You can speak of your department not the entire university. There are many lecturers still taking bribe in that school just that they haven't been caught yet. They call it coded sorting by some peeps. If you know you know

Now add to that the amount FG contributes towards each student yearly and it will dwarf what most private schools charge.

Just like petrol subsidy was silent for decades, we don't even know the true cost of public education we enjoy in this country.

UNILAG fee is actually between 14,500 to 20,000 and it's lesser than the fees of the above universities
so, ignore this..

And that's down to a strong form of delusion + inferiority complex + Stockholm syndrome all rolled in one.

They know nothing.

Many don't know why the Nigerian uni curriculum is largely theory focused the way it is. They just pick apple from UK and US and compare to orange in Nigeria to massage their unbalanced ego.
They don't know that what they are looking for in university is mostly in Technical colleges and professional master and thus blame their lecturers for even all their family induced problems.

They say ignorance is bliss but in Nigeria it is bling bling. You can rock it on your neck and pose for a picture with it. Pathetic society we have here.
