There is a misconception. The story of Edo is separate from the story of Benin.

I was on a 3month ban some months back. When i get back i saw notice to show up on a thread in culture...something to do with Oba of Benin visiting Ife. When i saw what was going i refused to join. Yorubas were flogging Edos in there.
