don’t know why everyone is picking on the vid above when majority of the videos on Nigeria army online are embarrassing; worst, perfect recruitment tool for terrorists, demystifying our prowess as those vids are. Just a handful are any tolerable, for instance the one on women in the air force and air force moderate precision bombing terrorists. Ironically the flaw lies in Nigerians being too honest. I doubt when more professional nations of the West and East upload videos, that those videos are not somewhat embellished in the way we never would consider. They wouldn’t, as far as they could control it, let videos of their military in compromising situations reach mainstream public eyes.

Well, your idea of blue Americans is an interesting concept, who knows, perhaps you "black" Americans could evolve to become blue



Anyway, black people aren't native to America, so it isn't amiss to refer to them as African Americans. Same way we have Chinese Americans, red Indians, Indian Americans and so on.

Well white is white and blacks are called blacks, lations brown.
And no, so called Whites are European Americans, they just don't call themselves that. Unless you are a Native American, sh!t don't matter.
Snoop has 71% African DNA in him, and he still have Native American DNA etc, does that mean he ain't African? He will tell you that he is.
Heck Charles Barkley has 75% African DNA in him, so European DNA in black or African Americans is somewhat negligible

This is one of the most intelligent and useful comments I have ever come across regarding this Boko Haram debacle.

Yeah. Nailed it. Each time our soldiers mention BH making use of sophisticated weapons, they simply referred to the effective use of the technical AA trucks. Aside from the GPMGs and RPGs a few of the boko haram use in their numerous attacks, no other so-called sophisticated guns have been spotted with them.
They have mastered the art of manouvering behind these technicals and the only way to effectively counter these is to have massive deployment of superior air machines like the MI-35s in large numbers.

The ratio of 3 MI-35s to 1 A-Jet in close air support for ground troops will certainly help restore confidence. One of the costly implications of not developing a modern armed forces for donkey years is what we are witnessing as it is.

COAS CONDOLES CAS AND THE NAF COMPONENT OF OPERATION LAFYA DOLE

Today, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General TY Buratai, paid condolence visit to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal SB Abubakar, at the Headquarters of Air Task Force Command of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Maiduguri, Borno State. The condolence visit was as a result the unfortunate crash of Nigerian Air Force Mi-35M Helicopter while providing close air support to troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, around Damasak, Northern Borno State, yesterday Wednesday, 2nd January 2018.

During the condolence visit, the COAS said he was there to on behalf of Officers and Soldiers of the Nigerian Army, commiserate with the families, Officers, Airmen and Airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force and indeed all Nigerians, over the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of the pilots, a technician and the gunners. He prayed God to grant their souls eternal rest, adding that the gallant heroes' death would not be in vain as they died on active service for the security of our country, to safe guard the lives of the citizen and serve humanity in general.

He added that military officers are one family, as they train together in various training institutions, operate and live together as professionals and therefore, as family, the Nigerian Army felt the pain of the sad incident. He further stated that military job is associated with high risks, but as professionals, we accept such divine destiny in good faith. He then called on the Director Miliyary Intelligence, Major General SA Adebayo and the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Brigadier General Bulama Biu to lead in the prayers for the repose of the souls of the departed heroes.

Speaking earlier, the CAS thanked the COAS for coming to share their pains and grief over the sad incident. He further assured that the Nigerian Air Force would continue to support and work with the Nigerian Army. He commended the determined efforts of other gallant pilots despite the bereavement. He also assured that despite the high risk associated with the military profession, they would continue to give their best to ensure the success of the fight against terrorism and insurgency in the country.

Present at the occasion apart from both Service Chiefs, were Principal Staff Officers at both Services Headquarters and field commanders and pilots at Operation LAFIYA DOLE.

Wow, it seems alot of you have really taken my comment to heart. Lol. Just to let you know, I and many other Black-Americans or AA if you prefer... have been been questioned by Africans on as to why some if use call themselves AA when we are not African. They would state that as African immigrants, they are real AA while we are just "American blacks". I take no offence nore care at being refered to as AA, but I do think it more fitting in my own personal situation to be refered to as simply BA.

Hope NA is learning. Don't lie about casualties. Respect and Honor those we've lost
