New date for convocation is put at the 22-23 of March. I can actually confirm this after the senate meeting held on the 31st of December. this is inview of the fact that clearance of thousands of students cannot take place two weeks before graduation. Kindly take note.

Happy New Year Famz

First write up for the year⤵

➡As we are all aware the new semester starts on the 7th of this month, it going to be the first semester in 2019 (for some students is going to be first semester for them while some will be second semester know where you belong)

➡Never underload your ability: Yes I mean never register courses that you just have in your portal and wasting units when you know you have the ability to do more

➡Never overload yourself: You can't register more than 24 units every semester that is already certain.

➡Why am I coming up with the issue of overloading and underloading oneself, in recent semesters we have been having the issue of missing results and base on what I see alot of students doing, I realized that lot of students don't do a good analysis of their results to know the courses they have missing results in, or courses they have carry over in ( I have several cases of final year students expecting their names in graduating list but not been listed on it. When I asked them to send in their results I discovered that they have courses they either carry-over (in the sense of failing them) or they have some missing results which what is holding them down. I have cases of students having over 6 failed courses and they tell me they don't know they failed the course how on earth is that happening.

➡Another issue I have with students is wasting unused semester units all in the name of "Im doing what my mates are doing or I registered what I have in my semester portal". In NOUN you can never run faster than your shadows. let me tell you from experience. I do register all my 24 units every semester when I was a student, at times I pick up courses from the next semester to make up for the units. In my 300 2nd semester I did my seminar which is a 400 level 1st semester course and in my 400 level 1st semester I started my project. In my final semester i had only one course left to do which make things easier for me, by this time I have 5 missing results I decided to do only 2 out of them because as at this time already i did over 150 units while I required just 120 units to graduate. So i was just waiting for my name to come out and get my certificate but low and behold names started rolling out and all our set name didn't come out till the last list was dropped. We missed the convocation that year and once the convocation was over we started making enquires into while our name didn't come out moving from Abuja to Lagos. Our seminar result was the major reason giving what we did a semester earlier was not input in our result we did our best and everything was put in place and our name came out with the first supplementary list but we had to wait till the next convocation. Now the benefit of doing more than more courses than required, some of our mates who do make jest of us those days were doing ITK (I Too Know) had other issues and are still undergraduates been ask to be doing more courses to see if their name will come out in the graduating list.

In points

↪Before you do this semester registration, do a good analysis of your result and do the needful and not what is required

↪There is more blessing in doing more courses if there is left over units don't waste them

↪Make sure you do all failed and missing results as at when due

↪Do your seminar as early as you can and start your project a semester early.

↪Pass all GST courses even if you start from 200 level as a DE student Do and pass your SIWES (IT), Seminar and Research Methodology without them you will not graduate.

We stop here for this first article of the year as more cases come to me I post more article cases that drops on my table gives the inspiration for articles.

➡Welcome to a brand new semester I wish you all the best in it

You can continue your study anywhere anytime.

You can't determine how much you will spend and besides you don't pay all at once.

If your PGD is a two semester program, you can finish by December.

Good evening everyone, I suppose we are all good? Now that the Yuletide is over how prepared are u? This is a question I am asking from all students. 2019_1 semester is just few days away to commence are you really prepared guess your school fees is still intact? Pls let's keep it at the back of our mind that the school calendar will not wait for anyone I advice u start preparing now. As for the convocation was opportune to have a chat with the Dean of FSS in person of Dr. Uthman Adesina and she said the list will be out after the result is processed and approved by the senate that means very soon the results will be out. As for those who are in their finals I encourage you start your project asap and do necessary things also. God bless you and have a nice day and Happy new year once again
For further clarifications on things u not clear about chat me up or call me. And I assure to give u the best.

Thanks

Hello Anthony,

I want to know if JAMB is a requirement for enrolling at NOUN.

2. How does one start taking classes? I've heard of Study Centers, can you please give us more info on that and particularly how classes for lectures are given.
