This setup has only one pure shooter if Rondo is starting, but Hart and Lillard along side Lebron is not bad, but it will not still cut it in terms of challenging GSW
I beg to disagree a line up of Lebron, lillard, kuzma, hart and javale will give golden state fits.
Lillard will flourish around Lebron just like kyrie. Hart is a good shooter and defender, kuzma is evolving into an all-star. That line up features at least 4 players who can generate their offense. And you can plug in kcp, Lance, rondo or Chandler from the bench for some defensive steel or veteran mins. The second best team in the west is okc and you can't argue that Westbrook+pg > Lebron+ lillard

Imagine if the Lakers kept d'angelo, randle and still have lonzo, kuzma,Ingram, hart and zubac plus loads of cap space. Yes they won't get lebron but they would easily be able to trade for Anthony Davis and sign whoever they want in free agency.
Word on the street is Bron's injury is worse than initially feared

Nicola jokic just keeps making his case for a starting place at the all-star game. That cross court pass was just WOW
He is IMO the best center in the league atm. He could score 25-30 every night if he wanted

A side note about this Nuggets team, it would be interesting to see if it translates to the playoffs but their depth is ridiculous! Hernangomez, Trey Lyles, Plumlee, Beasley and the ultra-efficient Monte Morris. Everybody seems to know their role and rarely stray out of the offense. This team has mad potential

Simply amazing, using the words of Skip bayless, the dude has the 'clutch gene'. He was 1-7 in the game from 3 when he hit that go ahead three with was it 30+ seconds left. As Chauncey billups keeps saying 'this kid is special'
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 8:48am On Jan 12, 2019
I really have a problem with the two 2nd overall picks in the Lakers. Ingram and Ball are nothing more than glorified role players, for god sake the Jazz has three of their back court players out and still a L

Apart from Lebron and Lillard there is too much inconsistency from that line up.
As for the OKC team... Man they play elite defense PG is always willing every night to take up the toughest defensive duty and Russ has seriously improved in his decision making
Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 9:45am On Jan 12, 2019
Does anybody feel like some bench players should be starting?

The first and 3rd quarters have been the most vital. Coaches sending in a good player to keep the game close shouldn't be traditional. Why not start things with a tempo using those players and then figure it out from there?

Or is it just me?

Lmaooooo Lonzo Ball is a poor man's Ricky Rubio. Bykebyke has realized what we were suspecting.

The issue with Ball is you never know what you're going to get from him on any given night, and for a number 2 draft pick that is simply unacceptable. Right now is he the second, third or even fourth best player on the Lakers? You really can't tell and there lies the problem.

When a perimeter player is shooting 43% from the field and 41% from free throw line you're essentially fighting with one arm tied behind your back

KAT is having a tremendous resurgence lately, he has been playing like a franchise corner piece.

But I'm wondering if KAT will make the all-star game this year

I’m not sure, but he is surely deserves to be in the all-stars game.

That Saints D was not here to play. A lot of people talk about their offense but IMO they have the best defense out of all the teams left. Not forgetting the best wide receiver in Michael Thomas

Tom Brady again showed why he is the GOAT

The defense carried the game... it was hard for foles to make complete passes.

The absence of a running back really hurt the Eagles. At 14-0 Foles was still trying to make the big play instead of just trying to control the ball. If you keep challenging the Saints secondary at some point they will make a play that will turn the game on its head

That drop by Jeffrey was the backbreaker. I really thought Foles was going to win it at the end

The Lakers had two quality picks in d'angelo and randle but nah! Lets trade them away and keep the two lottery busts. What was magic thinking when he traded Russell and selected lonzo even when I was clear his jumper was broken. Trying to reinvent the wheel in a league where a guard must have a respectabe shooting to be of value.
Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 3:33am On Jan 15, 2019
Meanwhile, I have been waiting for this year to make my judgement on the brad Stevens > Steve Kerr debate when he has won zilch. Brad is good no doubt but I have just being enduring the excessive dickriding. You have to be more than a good tactician for a team of good players to transcend into a great championship winning squad. Handling talented players who are conscious of their worth requires skill abt human management, its another beast compared to handling a team of underdogs. This is an area where Kerr thrives. People just think titles where handed to him because he has good players! But nah! The dude has been and is still a winner, he simply knows what it takes to win EVEN THOUGH HE SOMETIMES MAKES GOFFY DECISIONS ON THE COURT, HE
Khanben:

Most of the time, the toughest teams to handle are the ones with the most talent. So Steve Kerr deserves some accolades for his team's success
DESERVES TO BE RESPECTED. HE HAS EARNED IT.
Exactly, those teams often have big ego problems. Just look at the Celtics, they have won nothing. yet, some players already have entitlement mentality.

When the game was 14-0, I told my friend I’m picking Saints in that game. I so much believe in their offense, but the defense actually did the job for them yesterday. But what I couldn’t understand was how Eagles couldn’t double up on Thomas.
