*The New E-Passport Has 25 Additional Security Features

Kayode Ogundamisi shared this video of Nigerian Immigration Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede, speaking about the the importance of the new E-Passport.

Apart from the 10-year validity, the new passport, according to the NIS has enhanced security and is ”weather friendly”.

The Immigration Service said the new passport has polycarbonate technology that eliminates damage and that it now saves Nigerians in diaspora the time needed to frequently visit Nigerian embassies for new passports.

In October 2018, Babandede announced that Nigeria will begin using the new passport by December 2018.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice Yemi Osinbajo were presented with a new 10-year diplomatic passport by the Nigeria Immigration service yesterday.

Watch the video of Immigration Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede explaining the new E-Passport and highlighting the advantages here

The caption Kayode Ogundamisi gave the video didn't go down well from some Nigerians. See screenshots below..

Hope they will not force us or give a deadline to change our old passport to this one because I don't have an interest in this until my present one expires.

Rubbish.
Launching a passport by a concerned govt agency is now a great achievement of the president!
There are so many educated ignorant in Nigeria who don't know how govt works, or they intentionally chose to be acting that silly, for political nonsense. These are the kind of people that attributed the order by FRSC that mandated okada riders to put on crashed helmet, to president Yaradua in 2011.
To these, the beginning and end of the governance is their president. Even if a suspected petty thief is arrested on the street by the police, the next statement from them is: 'may God bless our president'.

You can say that again. It's indeed a good development. Meanwhile, the national identity card started by the PDP is a total mess because the foundation is fraught with fraud and corruption. A situation where you apply today and wait for a decade before you get it.

Now that buhari is making efforts to change the narrative by saying that the enforcement for it's use will be January this year, by the time he succeeds as he did in TSA, BVN etc, some rogues like Reno Omokiri, FFK etc will come and disturb our ears with noise on how Jonathan and PDP initiated it. Those people, they hate any good thing to happen in Nigeria.

It is a bitter truth. I know it hit you to the bone marrow.

The problem you people have is that, anyone who criticize a sitting govt belong to the opposition. You can't reason beyond the fact that there are patriotic citizens who are objective. All want they want is good governance.

Someone that couldn't not afford an haircut now can afford a data tru npower. That alone is wealth for him..Do u even know that his choice of words alone tells alot about his heritage He has none... That guy apparently is a brothel byproduct..
