An old student of one of the Command Secondary Schools in Nigeria has called for the re-evaluation of the learning activities in the school, which he regarded as mostly inhumane.



The man who condemned the manner in which students are being allegedly flogged in the Army-operated school, narrated on how his classmates were beaten for not making noise and also stated that hardly is there any student of the school that is not brutally beaten in their 6-year duration in school.

He wrote:

Command Secondary Schools should be reevaluated. They flog and beat their students in a manner that is so inhumane. When I was there, I was flogged countless times till I bled. 6 years of learning in fear and terror. No command student hasn’t bled from flogging before.

I remember my first day in command as a js1 student. I was spinning that ring sweet thingy. I think we called it blay blay das. A teacher came in and felt the appropriate punishment for a noiseless, harmless fun was 7 strokes of a heavy cane. Lmao. Command=hell.

It was a bitter sweet experience. All in all the school actually contributed in making me a better person.

I remembered when I was in SS2 CSSA, SS3 students flogged us more than 20 strokes for nothing. I still don't know why students to are so wicked in command.

currently a ss3 student in command odogbo..... this flogging really make us never to fear anything again.. it makes you get bold.... we get flogged like shit for nothing... Ive never been inhumane flogged b4 cus once I notice that something gonna happen and I do run away.. command make us get smart

I got ma Ass whooped steadily, but it made me a man Kudos CSSKD ( most rugged command ever).

I still remember the day I wrote waec maths, they assembled all of us on the ground come flog us better flog that day because some guys bent the school fans na so we enter hall barefooted like criminals or is it when if you come late you will use your knees to crawl to the Assembly ground do late comers assembly then they will pour water on the floor to make it while you "swim" back to your classroom. Omo, the flogging no be here oo, my class was directly above the commandant so na everyday we dey chop cane by the time we reach Ss2 cane no come dey fear me again. All in all it made me a better person but I noticed most of their students don't exactly dream big because of their environment las las army recruit, you barely hear doctor, I.T consultant etc although this is based on my own observation of my set. So I will strive to send my kids to schools like Loyola Jesuit where you see kids that are aspiring to school abroad for a start

CSSA was a land of no mercy,but we survived it...2012 set was a bomb
