The Federal Government is to ban importation of tomato paste before the end of this year, the Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, has said.

A Quick research on the internet : In Africa, Nigeria is ranked the second largest producer of tomatoes and globally, is the 13th largest producer, its total production annually has been estimated to be about a 1.701 million tonnes.
The states in Nigeria engaged in commercial production are; Gombe, Kaduna, Bauchi, Kano, Katsina, Benue, Jigawa and Plateau.
The national demand for freshtomatoes in Nigeria is about 2-3 million tons every year. Due to the poor production chain, Nigerians waste from 750 000 to 1, 350, 000 tons of tomatoes.

This is a step in the right direction, the wastages should stop now and more revenue to the country.
God bless our President MUHAMMADU BUHARI and his amiable Vice president Prof Yemi OSIBANJO as they take us to the NEXT LEVEL of our lives.
God bless Nigeria.

Just look at the level of economic decay that the same PDP shouting now led us into. where we were merely consuming and creating jobs for other countries. Ordinary tomatoes! We have been importing under the watch of the so called economic masters for over three decades and somebody is telling me he understands the economy better than the man who is working hard stopping all the anomalies. God forbid that they succeed in their bid.

I believe when u say FG , u mean lifeless and his administration, they keep banning things without looking at the implications....u don't have enough tomato to go round the country , and you ban the importation, they banned rice , we suffered it ...then they allowed it back..is it not clear we are been driven by a drunk in this Nigerian bus we all are in.....
For the umpteen times , let's vote for somebody that wrote waec !!!!! And free buhari from his confusion....

Or this is another trick to enrich the cabal?
