Hello people...I am a not so popular writer in this section (but I have like 10 stories up here) and I want you to follow me on this 30 day journey I started this morning (1st of August). By the way, this is not my main Nairaland account.

My goal is to publish 30 short stories on Amazon in 30 days. The stories will be between 2,000-3,000 words, and in the erotica romance sub-genre. You don't have to like the genre, but I want to show people that consistency helps on the road to success.

I have already started the first story, and am currently at 1,900 words...target is 2,600 words. It is the first part of a trilogy. I am using an American pen name (It is allowed)...a female American pen name. This helps with sales, cos whites generally tend to prefer buying books by authors with names that they are familiar with. Also, readers of erotica prefer reading books written by a woman.

So, I am going to publish the first book/story this night, and it will be up by morning tomorrow. By the way, I am not new to this. I already have 8 short stories published under that pen name.

The main aim of this thread is to show people that hard work mixed with smart work pays off. So, follow me on this journey and you might learn one or two things. I will drop updates on my progress 3-4 times. I should also say that my target is to earn $300-$400 (N105,000- nN140,000) monthly passive income from this experiment.

Okay. Let me get back to work. Next update soon. Wish me luck.

Yay! I just published the first one...2433 words. It takes 8-12 hours for it to appear on Amazon...by the time I wake up tomorrow, it will be up for sale. Time to watch a movie and relax. Work continues tomorrow.

Finally, the book I published yesterday is up on Amazon. Sometimes it takes longer than 12 hours, especially in the niche I write in. This took about 20 hours, but it is still okay.

I'm nearly done with the story for today... I am at 1,700 words. Target is 2,400 words. I will switch on my gen now to complete it and publish it before midnight.

That's all for now.

Good day people. I finished yesterday's work pretty late...like 1 am. But I have already started today's work. So, I have two books done now; 28 to go.
