I have started praying for the Marvel68 and I have a strong conviction it has been sealed.

Marvel, If truly you (and everyone that has ever handled the Marvel moniker) came here to help us, you will find help whenever you turn, before you even ask for help it would find you. The Sun, Earth, Wind, Waters, Every Power and Principality would help you and led you on the straight path of success.

...but if it is not so, you came here to delay and thwart the effort and dreams of the young people who this job can change their stories of their families. The Sun, Earth, Wind, Waters, Every Power and Principality will despise you and work against you. You will never find help the land of the living, nothing visible or invisible will ever provide you solace in the Almighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Same goes for everyone that has ever come to this thread and made conscious effort to deceive us.

A curse cause shall not stand. It also means a curse with a cause shall stand!

This has been sealed. i still need as many people as possible to cry it out to God everyday for speedy manifestation. Please include "If BrockSamson has intentionally deceived and led those deserving of this job astray let the curses here catch up with 'em first but if it is not so and BrockSamson has put effort, time and money to pave way for the brilliant folks in this recruitment process let 'em be the first to experience your profound outlandish blessing"

MARVEL has told no lie. All he has said thus far are true. You guys need to be patient. For those who have friends/family working in DPR, you can ask them. It's a place where plans change the very last minute. Sincerely, all I know is that APLs will start rolling soon. MARVEL isnt the controller of things at DPR. Hes only doing his best to give valid info as he gets them. No one can categorically give date. That's the fact. Cos plans change there in the flash of light.
You all should just keep hope alive. I
It is 100% certain, another batch will be called and it's gonna be very very soon.

Peace.

P.S: Thank you MARVEL and every other person giving out valid info here, you're all appreciated.

This people are full of surprises.. when marvel gave info on the first calls and it happens u guys hailed him, when he gave another one concerning reshuffling cabinet and another batch some confirmed it to be true, u still hailed, praised and even commend his efforts with promotion as deserved. And now this? ?? . Only God can satisfy HUMAN NATURE. . What will happen if DPR decides to call by mailing successful applicants at once., mayb tomorow, the last day of the week. Will u have the courage to swallow your words and praise him again? Please let's give each other benefit of doubt, he is not dpr. And only u choose the way u take info given here. People like ferguson and others were hopefulls like us here but they have moved on without castigating anyone here. And they also contributed alot. Y are u now trying to shut down doors when it's almost over? .. .and don't drag religion into this, had it been some of us made the first list we wouldn't have been here parading ourselves as our brothers keepers. .

BrockSamson:
Long Post

OPEN LETTER TO MR. PRESIDENT, MUHAMMADU BUHARI BY CONCERNED NIGERIAN GRADUATES ON THE ONGOINGS OF DPR RECRUITMENT 2016 BY DPR MANAGEMENT IN THE SELECTIVE RELEASE OF APPOINTMENT LETTERS IN A MANNER LACKING FAIRNESS, TRANSPARENCY AND SUGGESTIVE OF NEPOTISM.

Your Excellency Sir,

Firstly, we want to congratulate you on picking APC’s presidential ticket, we hope this success which is not based on personal frivolity or the thought of amassing personal gain but deep sense of commitment to making a difference in the lives of our people will be the spirit we can beckon upon to aid us in our cause. We are hopeful that we have a leader who would champion a clarion call to all Nigerians and people in authority to do the right thing, be it carrying their day-to-day responsibilities with integrity to fight and stamp out the scourge of corruption or the conduction and successful conclusion of free and fair recruitment exercises by government parastatals, which is the subject of our protest as we draw attention to this anomaly that needs to be addressed.

Mr. President, to better understand our trivial, we would have to narrate the whole DPR recruitment journey. On 25th of October 2016, Department of Petroleum Resources advertised vacancies for Experienced Hires and Graduate Trainee positions. The minimum class of degree to qualify for this recruitment process was a second class lower division and according to DPR’s website the official mode of communication was through candidates’ portals. Sometime in July 2017, we received test invite via our portals; some also received email/sms notifying them to check their portal. Over 40,000 young, bright and promising Nigerian youths sat for the DPR's recruitment test in various locations across the country having met the stipulated recruitment criteria. Many of these young chaps had to pass through a lot of rigors in order to write this test. Many of the candidates had to embark on harrowing journeys on the death traps we call inter-state roads. Others traveled from various parts of the world on personally funded flights.

On getting to the test venues, In their hordes these hopeful Nigerian youths bore the infernal heat of the sun, as they waited for the officials of the DPR and Snapnet Limited, nothing could better define the enthusiasm of these young ones than the arrival of a newly wedded bride still dressed resplendently in her wedding gown making her way through the crowd to "secure her future". Despite these inconveniences, over 4,000 candidates passed the test and were invited for interviews in December 2017. A good number of the candidates missed their interview because they didn’t receive any official email and sms communication informing them to check their portal after months of no correspondence from DPR. Many testified to being lucky to have been informed to check their portals through their fellow candidates via social media platforms especially Nairaland; an online public forum. Getting to the interview filled us with immerse hope for our country Nigeria, something was finally working right we thought. The last batch of successful candidates were interviewed at the various geographical Nigeria across Nigeria, in a time when the security situation of Nigeria could best be described as tenuous, owing to the endless political violence that were becoming rife. Once again, optimistic Nigerians made the trip to the specified locations across lands and oceans at personal expense.

Fast forward to June 2018, we got wind that the journey of almost two years would roll to its conclusion. Then it first started as rumors, that without a political connection or the backing of an influential sponsor getting an appointment letter from DPR was a mirage. We waved off such rumors holding on to our faith that the recruitment would end with the same integrity and transparency it started under the leadership of Mr. Ahmad Rufai Shakur; Head, Corporate Services. However our profound faith was misplaced as we were awaken by the rude shock of distribution of appointment letters outside the use of portal updates. DPR started contacting “special candidates” through phone calls, which was unusual considering the mode of communication during the first 2 stages of the recruitment was through the portal. These special candidates have collect their appointment letters and they have since resumed at their various locations with yet no official communication through the portal to the merit candidates, who were successful in both test and interview conducted. Some of these special candidates confessed to have had strings pull on their behalf, while the rest disappeared leaving us to our fate. From senatorial connections to slots being allotted to present and past management staff of DPR, who apart from receiving huge remunerations average Nigerians can only dream of also covert the organization’s employment slots as part of their entitlement.

Hopefuls are increasingly wary, because the conspiracy of silence on this process forebodes ominous signals as was the case with the 2008 and 2012 recruitment. Unlike 2008 recruitment which was ingloriously swept under the carpet, 2012 recruitment was savaged with the aid of a newspaper publication such as this. The questions that keep begging for answers are: What offense did the common Nigerian youth commit? Is there any hope for the son and daughters of the common man that are working hard to rise above the factors in their environment mitigating their success? What then is stopping the release of appointment letters to successful interviewees of the common folks? Should we just accept that employment in government parastatals is now reserved for the politically connected, rich and powerful?

Department of the Petroleum Resources (DPR) have decided to play the ostrich concerning the recruitment of a few deserving Nigerian youths, whereas in this nation, billions of naira have gone into sustaining the avarice of a few. It needs some reiteration that it is the career of hardworking, deserving young Nigerians that is being toyed with by a privileged few. Mr President, Ministers and top management staff of these organizations should remember that “those whose nuts were cracked by benevolent spirits are morally obliged to others”. It is also worthy of note that increased personnel costs were defended by Department of Petroleum Resources at the Senate defense hearing. The Director of the DPR, Mr Mordecai Dantani Baba Ladan confirmed the department was to recruit 700 staff. It is however surprising therefore that months after this promise, numerous sons and daughters of the privileged and highly placed in the government and society have been employed; while the sons and daughters of the common man have been treated with uttermost disdain. Numerous slots have been traded based on entitlement while the hard-work of the common Nigerian youth was looked down upon and scoffed at. What kind of future is there for this regulatory body where employment slots are given on a platter of gold to the children of the privileged while brilliant minds are ignored just because they have no political connection or an influential sponsor?

We advocate for fairness, goodwill and the successful conclusion of this process, otherwise will call to question the genuineness of Mr. President’s change agenda and fight against corruption, which most of the hopefuls bought and gave him their votes for. It is unjust that in this nation, a cabal of few persons who brought this nation down on her knees still runs amok, whereas the employment of a few hundred youths have become a matter of contention. So far, the hopefuls have remained calm. We are gentlemen and ladies in the very sense of it; we are responsible professionals/would be professionals, but there is a point to which we can suffer the evil in the land.

We therefore wish to by this medium call on your attention Mr. President and all relevant stakeholders of government to this menace. We do not intend to castigate anybody by this letter but we expect the right thing to be done, which by our plea is that the remaining candidates who merited this job be immediately contacted to collect their appointment letters; putting an end to this deliberate delay so as to avoid any scenario that may lead to the cancellation of this recruitment or further manipulations that will favor more “special candidates” under the guise of doing the right thing.

It is our hope that Mr President, you will lend a listening ear to our plea, by looking into a speedy conclusion of this long-running recruitment process in favour of successful candidates of the common men and women of our country and invite them for training in the spirit of Mr. President’s transformation agenda and job creation for the Nigerian youth.
We appreciate the involvement of media and civil society in our cause as an injustice against the Nigerian youth is one against the Nation's future.

GOD BLESS YOU!

GOD BLESS DPR!

GOD BLESS NIGERIAN GRADUATES!

GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA!

@Brock, you may be doing what you think is right to be done, even when i fear it isn't the proper time for such, but the reality is just what this guy said. When I was using my former account, I partly opposed the idea of giving specific dates here cos like Suchsland said, decisions and moves change there within seconds not even minutes. If decisions are suddenly changed, it will definitely sound like the person giving info is lying, even wn he/she is making the greatest genuine sacrifice in terms of giving out exactly what he knows.

The thing is, this journey is close to its Bus stop, which can take effect from the next hours, but no one can tell except those directly involved in ordering the moves.
So, let's chill and see how....

Dpr thread is always lit. All this back and forth is needless at this point, let's just keep our fingers crossed and see how things play out in the next couple of days. Appaz the predictions have only succeeded in heating up the thread due to the fact that nothing has happened yet, but i trust that we're not strangers to the patterns of the thread and that isn't a new trend....the likes of TAMIHAWT, Ferguson, Smartgrid etc all dropped predictions that did not materialize at the end of the day.
Ladies and gentlemen keep calm and take a chill pill

Initially, I was angry. Later, I started laughing. Obviously, some persons here are very emotional and cant seem to be in control of their emotions. To these people, I say "Una go dey alright last last".

I drastically reduced the rate at which I disseminate info here simply because of this exact same reason. The person behind that Marvel moniker must be a very selfless person, otherwise I see no reason why he/she would continue to tolerate such level of insults and slander just so we can be informed of the recent development as regards to DPR recruitment.

This post of mine is for a very select few who have demonstrated on this thread that patience is indeed a virtue and also that no matter how hard you push, whatever isn't meant for you will never be yours. Opportunities abound everywhere.....DPR or not, we go still make am.

That said, there is TRULY a 2nd list and I have confirmed this from every possible source within and outside DPR even up to the Presidency. The only information I dont have (which Marvel does) is how soon this list will be released. I did not think the list will be released soon because it had been delayed since December (when it was initially scheduled to be released) and especially for another reason I cannot disclose here (Thanks to the adult-babies we have here) but I still choose to believe Marvel.

@BrockSamson, if you drafted that letter yourself, I must praise your writing skill (even though I still noticed some typographical errors, your points were clear). However, I have been in political circles and in government service long enough to know that the President won't read your letter. Even if by a stroke of luck, he hears about the letter, he'll direct the Chief of Staff or SGF to look into it, if you are objective enough, you should know what the outcome will be. Infact, you will be tagged an agent of the opposition party trying to tarnish the good image of the government especially as your long write-up deviated from its main objective at some point to focus on bad roads, nepotism, underemployment, lack of due process etc. All of which will be seen as trying to ridicle this administration and all of which will be totally rejected by the same people you are writing to. Yet, your claim of favoritism cannot even be substantiated with undeniable evidence as was with Gov. Ganduje's video - which nothing has come out from hitherto. But that is not to discourage you in anyway, you can test your strength and that of the press.

@Marvel, I will advise you to drastically reduce your information dissemination. It is because you are still keeping the thread active, that is why some people can decide to turn it into a marketplace. They wont lay curses on their political leaders who have looted them dry instead they would rather cyber-bully a faceless personality. @Marvel, na you dey give them that chance. What will be will be. When DPR is ready to distribute letters, both those within and outside this thread will know. If you still wish to disseminate info, think of a smarter way to do so and even to a smaller circle of positive hopefuls, not to those who through impatience and idleness are ready to pull down & destroy everything called "hope".

As a suggestion, if there is anyone you trust on this thread, disseminate info to that person and let the person further disseminate to other hopefuls.

I wont reply anyone's quote, whoever the cap fits should wear it. Cheers!

Hello Mr Marvel, I wish to thank u immensely for ur encouragements and information dissemination on this thread. Also I hail ur maturity and decorum despite some rascality exhibited towards u by some guys here. Plz don't mind them. This thread was opened for exchange and dissemination of information, accepting the info shared here is not by force. If one feels he or she does not need the info, he or she should ignore it. Besides no one is being paid for information shared or accepted. Marvel u have been helpful I must confessed. By God's grace (inshAllah) I will explain why I said u have been helpful when I collect my APL.

Plz Marvel I beg u to continue to dish out relevant info once u have one for us that still believe in ur info. Plz don't be deterred by these unnecessary attacks by some guys here. Once again, may God bless u Marvel and also best wishes to all positive minded persons on this thread because the 2nd batch is sacrosanct and imminent.

If they don’t call this week, it isn’t my fault but rest assured that people will pick up APLs this month. The DPR have been very secretive about this second batch. They don’t need pressure from any person or group.
The Director has told those he has promised to be patient. Some candidates who confirmed their names on the merit list followed up the selection process & their names were included on the second list. Like I said, not everyone on the merit list will be called due to the limited number of available slots.
Cheers!

Thank you Marvel for your immense contributions to this thread. You keep contributing despite all the curses/ abuses, I really do admire your your maturity. God bless you.

The wait is almost over guys. Keep busy with something else, if the DPR job is yours, you will be contacted eventually.

I bet many is yet to analyze this simple sentences oga marvel wrote here. First, Director told those he promised. The question you should ask here is, are you or any of your person been promised by the director?
Secondly, some candidates that confirm their names in the merit list, oga meritits, merit that can snoop and sniff his name and confirm their names in an extremely confidential document, is that person a merit man? Ask yourself.

Lastly, those meritits followed up their names and was included in the second list, like seriously? Hopefuls are your brains still that blocked? These guys followed their names and was included. If they did not follow their names, they won't be included. And you are here hopefully to be included with positive mindset, prayer and hope? While others are following things up? Kai, it is well ọ.

And as predicted the whole place explodes with accusations and counter accusations. And as such the "Next week" will come and go then a new "Next week" would surface.

Mr Marvel I have always posited that anybody fighting you on this DPR Issue for information offered is channeling grievances in the wrong Direction. You are not DPR no argument about that.

But candidly speaking, my personal opinion, quit any further posting of information. You have stated here below that,
Marvel68:

It’s ok. If nothing happens by February, I will leave this thread for good. It’s a promise!

Let anybody needing information channel it to DPR simple. Truth is whatever selfless service you are genuinely offering becomes a mockery when back to back the informations keep failing and unending, and you are not DPR in any way. It will cast a doubt and negative impression on the purpose (can't say about your person because nobody knows who you are).

We can all see that from the beginning of this "merit list would be called" issue, it was a certainty from your information that all would be called. But it has now transformed over time of various timelines to some would be called. Let's not fight ourselves here. By tomorrow the last information you passed will either pass or fail, whatever the case please I advise you let it be and let the February run its Cause quietly and shockingly as you have said.

Regards.

I want to see which police force will give them approval to carry out an anti-govt protest in this crucial time without labeling them as tools in the hands of opposition.

Paid thugs and street urchins who have never seen the four walls of a university will be waiting for them -accompanied by security agents- to beat stupidity out of their head.

I tot I was d only one reasoning like this when I read brocksman prayer nd xtruzz response. Honestly speaking as much as brocks was wrong to have laid such bare curses xtruzz shud not have responded as she did. If anytin she shud hv even ansad amen Daz if she thinks she needs to prove a point to brocks dt what she and marvel said was out of pure concern for us al but again dt is not even necessary cos every body is entitled to post anytin here : facts, figures, observations, questions, predictions, forecast, all sorts and every person is equally entitled to belive or disbelief and air same. Please let's take it easy
