For me., sometimes, I tend to give the constitution a breather. I think it's a people's thing. There's no constition that will change a civil servants penchant for corruption or restrain a vastly illiterate society from ass-licking a (thieving ) politician. Nigeria has passed that stage a long time ago. We are too divided in our opinions that as long as the constitution is written by a man we (lawyers and all) will find a way around it.
What we need at this point is self restrain and purposeful leadership.
By Self restraint, I mean telling ourselves the truth as a people. There's a big followership problem in this country. As for leadership, we must be careful what we wish for. I feel very strongly that no civilian (constitutional ) govt can navigate us out of this mess. We need a conservative dictator to set things in the right direction.
