How Buhari led APC leaders to beg Obama, US for support in 2015 – Pastor Giwa makes revelation

By Wale Odunsi

A senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Gospel Church, Pastor Adewale Giwa, has said that the present government under President Muhammadu Buhari cannot stop the United States and other foreign countries from interfering in Nigerian politics.

Giwa said this in reaction to statements by the present government, warning the US to steer clear of Nigerian elections.

US ambassador, Stuart Syminton had vowed that his country would deal with politicians who indulge in hate speech ahead of the Saturday’s presidential election.

Syminton’s warning came a day after Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna State threatened that foreign persons who interfere in the elections would leave Nigeria in body bags, a statement that was also defended by the Presidency.

United States has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.

A statement by Pastor Giwa made available to DAILY POST on Tuesday, recalled how Buhari and his team traveled to the US to beg former President, Barack Obama for support in 2015.

He said: “I was at the White House as Daily Newswatch US Bureau Chief in 2015 when Buhari’s delegation came to beg Obama.

“People hate the truth because it hurts. In 2015, It was glaring that President Obama played a very prominent role in ensuring Buhari become the president of Nigeria.

“Where were all these people criticising the United States now under Donald Trump when Obama released a video, urging former President Goodluck Jonathan to play the game according to the rules?

“Where were Buhari’s men lambasting the United States under Trump now when former President Obama called Jonathan to accept the defeat after announcing the 2015 presidential results ?

“To me, I see nothing wrong in what the United States has said by appealing to the presidency to play the game according to the rules.

Please my people, help a starving brother. I have been pleading for help since 2 days now. I'm a student who returned to school last week because of the prospects of exams starting on Monday and also because I was opportuned to enter a free ride. my family isn't bouyant enough and my dad has severe high BP that's why I had to find my way so as not to make him start thinking. I haven't eaten a decent food since I got back and am starving.

I am soliciting for help from well meaning people who will be touched enough to hear my plight and have mercy. I am not asking for much, no matter how little, it will go a long way. God bless you all

Atiku in secret meetings with APC stalwarts, as ruling party supporters admit PDP is in clear lead

Acknowledging that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in obvious lead, several All Progressive Congress (APC) stalwarts have started reaching out in secret meetings with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP Presidential candidate in the February 16 election with a view to working out “exit deals”.

As confessed by one of the APC chieftains, “Atiku has the momentum now and the wise thing to do politically is to consider options after all in politics there is no permanent friend or permanent enemy.”
Among those reaching out to the PDP presidential candidate are the APC party chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Minister of Transportation and Director General Buhari Presidential Campaign organisation, Chibuike, Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of Internal Affairs, General Abdulraman Dambazau, a very reliable source close to the Atiku camp disclosed.
These three APC henchmen, as disclosed, believe that the best option left for them is to start early to work out a contingency plan which if concretised may see them work secretly to deliver Atiku come Saturday, February 16.

Also elements from Tinubu’s camp believed to represent the interests of the “Bourdillon strongman” are among those reaching out to Atiku as revealed. Though details of this group’s discussions with the PDP presidential candidate are scanty, it may also not be unconnected to negotiating an “exit deal” to protect Tinubu’s interests post May 29 2019.
In the last few weeks, the PDP presidential candidate has continued to surge far ahead the incumbent president in both internal and foreign polls. This obviously may have set panic measures in the camp of the ruling party and like most Nigerian politicians, self interest and preservation comes first before any talk of party loyalty or interests.

Recall it was reported last week that President Buhari in a desperate attempt to salvage the slipping fortunes of his re-election bid started reaching out to some PDP chieftains with huge monetary enticement and promise of incorporating them into his new government if they can work to weaken Atiku’s surging fortunes in the coming election.

However, some of those being cajoled reported the president and his team’s subversive actions to the leadership of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation where they were asked by the campaign strategy group to continue to play along with the president and his team as this would let in the opposition into the president’s inner workings.
When contacted, Mr Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to Atiku Abubakar declined to comment.
The presidential election is slated for this Saturday February 16, 2019.

We don't want them to intervene during our election but they all send their children there to school. They visit there anytime they are sick, if they invite any of our rulers they pack themselves and go, they go there to enjoy and even own properties there. Who are they fooling ?

This is however not likely to work in their favor.
