Woman Arraigned For Stabbing Rapist To Death In Lagos by ijustdey: 11:47am On Feb 22, 2019
A 25-year-old woman, Gift Daniel, appeared in an Ebute Meta Magistrate Court in Lagos on Thursday for allegedly stabbing a man to death.

The deceased, identified as Taofeek Olumoro, 52, a cleric, was alleged to have met his fate while trying to rape the woman.

Daniel, who resides at No. 1, Alhaji Aleke St., Bariga, Lagos is facing a charge of murder to which she pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Insp. Oladele Adebayo said the defendant had used a kitchen knife to stab the deceased. “The defendant was lured into the deceased’s room where he tried to forcefully have sexual intercourse with her and in her defence she picked a knife and stabbed him fatally on his chest,” he stated.

The magistrate, Mrs A. Kusanu, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case to March 27 for the DPP’s advice. (NAN)

If the man was truly attempting to rape her, then she deserves a medal for her courage. Not prosecution.

They should gather more evidence.She may have killed the man and tag him a rapist.Since she knows that is gonna garner her sympathy.But if he did actually rape her then she should be left alone

How to prove it was actually a rape is the big question because she came into his room of her will so there was sm familiarity. How it now became a rape is what needs to be established cos anything cud have happened and the man can’t defend himself now.

Nigerian women always want soft landing in every crime, when the commit murder they claim rape defense, when they cheat in their matrimony, the claim domestic abuse. They have destroyed many young men's futures by their false claims.
