That is one question no one can answer except God. Sincerely, Nigeria was not ready for democracy. Things are going from bad to worst and the youths are even more corrupt than the older generations. So where lies the hope of a better future? kcboy34: |

trities:Its a pity... I can remember discussing with a childhood friend of mine who is into internet fraud. I asked him why he was doing that... He said because that is the only way he could financially secure his future and the future of his unborn children.. He tried comparing his life with the life of his father who is a government retiree, worked for over 35years for the ministry... His father could only boast of a building in the village... But for him, he has within 5years built a house in Lagos and has lots of investments that can provide for him and his family for years even without doing anything.... Now the reason am narrating this story is to draw out the point that Nigerian system is so bad that you can't achieve alot the right way.... Must we steal to be okay... Am sure if I had connections in that INEC office nobody would touch my name.... |

That's why the youths are turning into fraudsters. You just have to help yourself by urslf and expect nothing from government or individuals |

Majority of the electoral officers for this 2019 election are criminals and rogues with no exception. the one of surulere LGA needs to get a jail term after this election |

Those people are demons. They are more corrupt than the politicians. I also worked as adhoc, I'm yet to get paid, but they won't try play a fast one. Cos when we burn their office finish, we go still go call international media that Nigeria inec are corrupt thieves. When we disgrace our sef finish, it is then they will pay us. Make sure you publish this on twitter, and tag news outlets. If nothing is done after three days, start tagging bbc, CNN, aljazera, cgtn and co. They will talk to you. Believe me. |

Agege EO is the most corrupt individual have ever seen in my life. All what the OP described is true as i was also a victim of the corruption and ineffectiveness of those INEC staffs in Agege. Agege refused to use APOIII and majority of those that did training never participated in the adhoc job. |

You Painted this story well but I can't vouch for INEC IKEJA LGA..... The list they used for the ad-hoc staff was transparent and most of our class members makes the. I'm sorry for your stress all the best to you.... |

When I wrote that I want to leave this country, one foolish mod deleted my post. Well kcboy34 take heart. I decided not to near any Inec office after my 2015 experience. Tuwaa on the head of the Inec man that ate my money. I must leave this country wether Satan like it or not |

kcboy34:Almost same thing happened to us in surulere local government, about 3 weeks ago i went for training for adhoc staff for 2019 elections in Surulere local government, Lagos. The list for APO's was released and my name was included.I proceeded to my rac center and slept in an uncompleted building with mosquitoes over night, then we heard the elections have been postponed. About 5 days after, I was at the inec office to check the list, the list was replaced with a new one.I didnt find my name on the new list and the inec officials said there is nothing they can do. Over 3 days of training, sleeping in an uncompleted building at the rac centre, time, energy and money spent could not go in vain like that.I spoke to one of the SPO''s and he asked me to come to the RAC center that lots of people wouldn't show up. I went there n we replaced those that didn't show up.they didn't pay our training allowance or any other allowance, there was no APO3 so as the APO1 I controlled the queue and checked pvc and directed people to their right polling units.I did the job of two people,we were told they would collect our account details for payment but when I went to meet one of the SPO''s he told me to go home and rest.CORRUPTION IS EVERYWHERE |

tossie101:Please stop being a tribalist as i faced exactly this same maltreatment as the OP and i am not an Igbo but a full blooded Yoruba boy. The truth is that; Agege EO is a criminal. Do you know that Agege released list of adhoc staff 3 different times and majority of this pu are not having APOIII? Do u know some names appear more than 3times and they refused to replace those names at both INEC office and at RAC? Who are those that filled all those positions on Election Day? Mrs E.O Lawal- Agege EO - is nothing but a crook. I regret applying for the useless adhoc staff in Agege as my colleagues in Ifako/Ijaiye said the recruitment was purely on merit and attendance but Agege own is quite different. |

tossie101:This is not about tribalism. This is the pure definition and the default setting of an average Nigerian. Greed and Corruption. It knows no tribe or religion. It happens to everyone. We should join hands together and fight it not encourage it by dividing ourselves with tribe. Peace |
