Happy new week mates. Please I need your assistance. My sister inlaw brother was denied a UK visa and he wants to reapply soon. Please I will like to know the main reason(s) he was denied. He wants to write and explain in details why he was refused. Please I need comments on the reason why refused. Was he refused based on personal and financial circumstances? I will appreciate comments, advice and how to go about the refusal. I.e what to write. In addition, there was a letter given to him by his company on the trip as the best staff of the year during the AGM. (Annual general meeting) . The CEO of the company usually gives award in form of travel incentive according to what he explained to me. He attached the letter in his previous application but did not explain to ECO that the money was given during AGM. The letter he submitted only stated that: As a result of your good outstanding performance the company av decided to send u on a four days trip to the uk...... Please I will appreciate your contributions to make the second application asuccessful. Thanks

Your sister inlaw brother is not a good liar, you need the holy spirit to convince the ECO that his company is willing to spend 1M naira in 4days on him just to travel to the UK for sightseeing.

1M naira is equivalent of his 4months salary and he was willing to spend that in 4days?

Let him try another country with an honest application because he has started on the wrong foot with the UK application

The ECO probably did not see the cover letter or the visa centre staff did not include it in your application package.

If you want to reply type the explanation within the form where they asked for additional info...the blank space in the form

Thanks a whole lot Justwise. I felt i swindled by UK embassy. Imagine i had a cover letter Explaining the source of the funds from my Bitcoin account. To make matters worse this money was pulled out of my account and they came up with the story of money in excess. Anyway What if i Re-apply by end of April will that be fine?

Hi Good People,

I completed my online UK visa application form on 6th March 2019, payment was made and I had challenges registering my GWF number with TLScontact. I saw on their website that applications before 6th March 2019 might encounter challenges accessing their services as a result of their new process. I contacted TLScontact Customer services and I was advised to cancel to get a request for a refund which I did. I was also advised that the refund will be paid within 28 days.

I completed a new online application form but I discovered the year in my date of birth was not correct - it was an oversight. However, the previous online form was all correct.

Please, I need your professional advice. What can I do people?

Hi guys,

I have decided to cancel the 2nd application and start a new application - stitch in time , safe nine they say.

Please how does their refund process works ? Do I expect to get the refunds in less than 28 days ?

Hi just wise

I really need some advice please, my brother visited the U.K. March last year for three weeks for a work training which he got a 6 months visa as the employer was his sponsor, then he visited again for one week few months later for sightseeing before the visa expires. Then he visited Germany earlier this year for a one week trip which was a sponsored trip.
Now he wants to apply for the 2years visa and then go for summer break for 10 days around June , and he doesn’t know anyone in the U.K. , which was the same answer he gave in his previous application. the problem we have is he has not been paid for the last 2 months due to company and contractors issue as he works with an oil service firm. But currently he is on a masters program part time as well and has all his school and company documents and letter from HR to back his leave. He currently has 2m in his savings account which clearly shows that he transfers from his salary account to his savings account. The total cost of the trip will cost him about £1400. He earns about 200k monthly. He has been with the company for 7 years with his promotional letters from a junior engineer to senior engineer, and he also receives allowances from his company when they go off shore jobs which is included in the letter headed paper the company is giving him , just incase they see huge lump of money that is not salary stated. What would be your advice towards the discrepancy in the past two months they have not been paid , though he has a good explanation for that but do you think he might be considered for the visa due to the discrepancy in his account ? And what other documents can help him ...
thank you
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Infiosa: 12:39pm On Mar 12, 2019
A tourist visiting visa type is perfect for him with a hotel reservation as a place to stay during the visit. Good transaction inflow and outflow of the account presented, majorly salary account or business account. And any other convincing supporting documents.

Your Nigerian number will automatically linked to a network in the U.K. the moment you arrived and you will receive a text message from the network provider, though you need to be careful because it will cost you twice or more for text and call, even when you receive a call you will be charged.

Other request should work then they are most likely to redirect you or give you the adequate mail. Besides you can also type in your message in that message space

He went about it the wrong way. He should have had the company write a letter taking full sponsorship of the trip and used the company’s bank statement as proof of funds. Then there would have been no need for them to transfer the funds into his account (ECO would have just seen it as lodgement)

It might be an issue, although it’s just a slight possibility the ECO could think he has lost his job and is planning to jaapa.
Why doesn’t he just wait until he is paid before applying? So as not to leave anything to chance?

PLEASE as someone that has a registered business, do I transfer funds to my personal account for the trip or do I write a letter stating that the trip will be funded from company account? I am sole signatory to the account.

I have a 2 year UK visa. When I applied a friend sent me an invitation letter stating she will accommodate and feed me. However, my friend is coming to Nigeria during the time I am traveling due to an emergency and I have already bought my ticket. Will it be a problem at the point of entry if I tell them i will be staying at a different address from the one I put in my application?

Many thanks Shankar . There was a letter in respect of that but, the letter was not well explained. See attached the letter. I will appreciate if you can give us way in which we can explain the refusal to ECO. As for this second application he is sponsoring him self, so all expenses trip is from his pocket.

Thanks for replying.

Yes I pay tax, I'm still processing my tax clearance for 2018, hopefully it will be out before reapplying. I can aswell add my VAT receipt for the past 6 months.
Yes I have an survey and approved plan with an ongoing construction in my name.
I have an investment plan with axamansard where i save 250k monthly, the balance now is about 7M plus and its accessible anytime.
Yes, I have my daughter, wife, dad and siblings.

I have decided to apply as a visitor without adding bill of lading or purchase invoices. I will write a letter to explain why I earn so much.

But can I add my cac documents if applying strictly with my personal account as a tourist?
Also, should I add maybe a year or 10months bank statement to show a steady salary?

thanks.

bigtt76:
You need bill of lading and invoices if you're applying for a business visa but in this case, you're going for visitor's visa ...you might not need all of that.

Like mentioned earlier, the ECO only wants to be sure s/he is not approving a visa to an applicant who would not return back to his or her home country hence the need to show adequate tie to your home country (motivation for you to want to return back) and this is usually (but not limited to) high paying jobs or business, landed properties, immediate family and personal investments.

1. You have a thriving business .....good!
2. You are well paid .....good but you need to justify that salary (the ECO would be wondering how come you earn that much as salary for selling cars, most people would have stated something in the neighborhood of N300K with the rest stashed as commissions on cars sold...to me that looks more realistic) - do you pay PAYE tax to government? If you do ....include the tax certificate.
3. Do you have other landed property in your name?
4. Close family ties?

I would advice you either decide to apply strictly on your personal terms and you won't have to include all the bill of ladings & invoices but rather your personal bank statement, family ties and property documents. On the other hand, if applying as company director, then submit your company documents and a board resolution awarding you an all expense paid vacation as part of your benefits. But again 95% shareholding of a company doesn't sounds good to me but might not be an issue. It makes it all look like a one man business masked as limited liability company .....those ECOs read meanings into all things we take for granted.

Last but not the least, it appears you did not correctly state how much you earn salary monthly and yearly in total. The salary inflow on your bank statement should also correspond with the outflow on your company bank statement. Some businesses maintain multiple accounts - one strictly for business (receipts from goods or services sold) and other for operations (funded with profits made and used to service the company's bills, salary and other expenditures).

All the best though.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Micafe: 8:56pm On Mar 12, 2019
Yes please. note that the company make way more than that monthly and I always reinvest once a car is sold.
justwise:

Ok i get that.that means you pretty much decided what to take from the business as salary since you own 95% of the company?
