What people don't realise when they talk about the 2015 elections in Rivers is that, the prevailing mood favoured PDP and it hasn't changed. The people then believed Amaechi pitted tent with the enemies to fight their own(Goodluck Jonathan), hence the humiliation suffered by him. Although, the state was militarised, but the election wasn't rigged. What's at play currently in the state portends danger. They are bent at winning the contest at all cost.

Has the popularity of Nyesom Wike waned in rivers?
Did the last election reflect the popular will of River state residents?
Who and Who is behind the AAC that is giving APC and PDP a nightmare in Rivers ?

Given a free and fair playground, what will likely happen is the previous election is cancelled and a fresh election ordered ?
What is the tentative result so far declared in Rivers ??

From my observation Rivers state has got the second highest percentage of APC members in the South South after Edo.

Rivers APC is about 35 percent compared to about 65 percent Rivers PDP, which is really not enough to win the Governorship.

A significant number of Rivers PDP supporters are the thugs/criminals/millitants/agboros and street guys in the state.

A significant number of Rivers APC supporters at the elites/educated/enlightened.

Amaechi and the Rivers APC still feel a sense of injustice from the events of 2015 featuring Joseph Mbu, Patience Jonathan and Nyesom Wike.
Rivers APC really suffered oppression and battery during the 2015 polls.

Those events sowed the seed of discord in Rivers state.

Amaechi is on a mission to humiliate Wike by any means necessary.

The difference is that Wike had the full backing of the Presidency in 2015 via Patience Jonathan especially, to take Rivers by every means necessary.

But despite what anybody thinks and the nonsense talk about Buhari wanting to take Rivers state, the man doesn't care about Rivers state and anything.
Pls come and stay here for 3days, u will realize there is no apc in rivers other than amaechi and his cohorts

How possible is it for a candidate of AAC who didn't do campaign, whose poster was not seen in any part of rivers state, whose party never recorded a significant vote during the presidential elections, whose name has never been heard on the media (electronic and print media), who has never granted any interview before the elections, who has never headed any known organization could come up to win a state governorship election in rivers state!
This one na serious America wonder... Amaechi and his Buratai Soldiers should just give up on this... For it is easier for a Carmel to walk through the eyes of a needle than for Amaechi and his adopted son from AAC to win wike in rivers state...

The truth is that Wike does not have any opposition but Amaechi wants to use federal might to unseat Wike. AAC in a normal election cannot even win a ward in Riverstate talk more of an LGA. The military presence in Riverstate was something else. It was like a war zone. Voters watched helplessly in many polling units as ballot boxes were whisked away by men on uniforms which the military has denied are not their men. In areas they tried to resist them, violence broke out. INEC official were held hostage in some LGA. It's a monumental electoral fraud that Amaechi is trying to achieve. But he will not succeed.

I wonder why some people cannot see the decay in this nation. There is no truth again and people are singing the praises of evil men. Black colour has suddenly become white colour.
About the election, it was a show of shame. 142 billion naira was given to INEC to organise a free and fair election but it was a waste of money and no one is talking about it. The electoral body is now like a TV set while the FG is holding its remote. Inconclusive election is now the order of the day. Once the result does not favour the ruling party, it is inconclusive. So many irregularities marred the conduct of the elections and people are still happy with these. We saw how millions of ballot papers were thumb printed before the elections. Soldiers and policemen that were meant to ensure peace for free and fair election were the ones that snatched ballot boxes and intimidated voters from voting. They killed innocent souls and some people are still happy with this evil.
142 billion naira was wasted to conduct a conducted election. If 5 million naira was given to each citizen in this country from that money, it will go a long way in curbing poverty and unemployment. Nothing is working well in Nigeria for now. But I believe God for His divine intervention.

Does it mean will now have two different set of INECs in Nigeria (military and civilian)?
