If we do that consistently for 12 months, we would have added 12000MW to the grid in a year. For 4 years, we would have added 48000MW to the grid by the time Buhari is leaving office.

These things are not rocket science folks. It's not an issue of corruption either. It's simply a lack of a blueprint.

We can use this same "plan" to set up at least 10 working refineries in this country and upgrade to 100% capacity. 100b Naira will build a 24,000 BPD refinery.

You can build a house without a well detailed building plan, but you'll cry when you see how much time and resources you wasted. Corruption is NOT the problem, Nigeria has no real plan, just generalized plans which are as good as day dreams

Nigeria is a third/ fourth world country and power consumption in Nigeria is very low, including Ota, despite the presesence of the so-called industries at Ota, 1000MW would still be in excess, even for entire Ogun state,esp when you also consider that the power supply In the state is not going to come from this fictitious power plant alone. Seems you are myopic. I bet the cost they'll use in building it will be just 5% of what our inefficient thieving government will use. Nigeria can build 10 of these in two years is we are effective. We are used to darkness that large effective power plants now sound like rocket science to us. We claim to be the biggest economy in Africa yet South Africa produces 20 times more power than us.
If that church could have built a 50 thousand capacity auditorium in less than a year and made a decade old university better than our glorified Unithis and Unithat then they will certainly do this without stress.
The report says they are expanding with thousands of housing units, airstrip etc. Who says industries for employment cannot be added. In a developed country, that 1000MW would just be given to Alimosho alone, talkless of the entire Lagos.

Its assumed that it will be a gas powered plant possibly a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine...the big question is how they intend to get pipped gas to the location of the plant if they intend sitting it inb Ogun State

That's why I kept telling people that the nigeria government policies are all designed to keep nigeria stagnant..... In next 30years you will still meet nigeria @this level if not worse.
