Please share your thoughts now,i know you also stay in Ireland.But my question is will all this suffering even my immediate boss that is earning close to 500k relocate to Canada and many more... If you think relocating is for you to have a sweet life then wake up from slumber , it is only for your kids to have as that is the reason 99% reason people relocate.... One of the big banks ED' s just move his family abroad,do you think it's money NO, it's for the future of the children my brother.....
My advice to our brothers that are planning to come back please make hast as Osibanjo is currently giving out N10,000 loan to individuals,N30,000 to entrepreneur ....3million jobs waiting untapped but your father must be a senator to get one. Nigeria is really flowing with milk and honey currently I think maybe because of the election next year... Waiting till next year maybe too late in terms of returning home....

Haaa my brother, I won't talk O! The insults I received alone recently from some kids in one Investment thread for saying fact without insulting anyone, are enough for me. As a matter of fact, one of two Nairalanders that I met on nairaland here that I assisted to come Ireland was disappointed seeing me replying some kids insults instead of ignoring them.

Let whoever wish to go Ireland decide that on their own. No be by force to come Ireland..after all it's a choice. What really matters is that you do what you think is right for yourself, what you believe in. Just pick a goal, a goal you truly want to achieve. As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.

The thousands wey stay back for Germany. How are they faring. Most are into low-level Logistics jobs like Amazon or running from one temp agency to another. In all my sojourn in Europe, I have never met a Nigerian who could comfortably afford to rent a 3 bedroom with a car. Of what purpose is migration if I cannot live a better quality of life than the one I live back home.


Bros, I am not coming to search for job o. The one thing I am thankful of, is that Europe has exposed me to the many opportunities in Nigeria that I couldn't see before.

That's how Canada exposed me to many opportunities in Nigeria. I left nigeria in 2014 with the mentality of living big abroad as if everything is easy over there which i ended up working my ass off with pay cheque which is not even enough to live good.
Fast forward to 2016 I sat myself down and think deeply cos I got a lot of dependant which canada situation can't help or else I will end up ignoring my dependants by not not letting them to know my contacts again.
Here we go April 2016 I decided to leave Canada to Nigeria cos I have a lot of business idea, thou right from the beginning business is in my blood.
When I decided to leave i inform my family about it my brothers, sisters, mom and my friends were all scared and wonder how can I decided such a silly thing to come back to nija. Sometimes self decision is the best. I kept mute I didn't listen until I carried out my plan, booked a one way ticket to nija, landed and the hustle started. Everybody are looking at me like let's see what will end u in Nigeria.

I dont know Why we Nigerians lose hope on our country as if these western world are paradise?

I went back to my business I was doing before I left for canada which is agriculture. I put some money I managed to save on it. Upgrade myself by advertising my products online, travelling around, visiting big big farms for sales cos I'm into poultry and I also sell foreign feed additives such as feed proteins and amino-acids.
These business I have been doing before I left for canada but the mentality of travelling out for greener pasture has eat deep in me, then I didn't work too smart cos I believe abroad is the only option to success.

To cut the long story short
I'm now a owner of a company.
We sale imported feed additives in case a farmer might be interested in buying.

Till today Canada door is still opened for me.
I was there 2 times this year, planning to go again next March thou for visiting online.

All my write up is all true cos I know some might want to quote me wrong. I swear
Some might wonder how come all these happen in 2yrs yes it's God's grace and focus.

Funny enough, a lot of people didn't believe all these till today, some believe I'm into Yahoo thing and even sarz always stop me while driving but when they see evidence they free me cos I'm just 29yrs still very young for face. I swear with my life I have never try that Yahoo Yahoo thing or ritual in my life. God is my witness.

Nigeria is the best if you have a very good business idea and fund to finance it.

I will never advice who's going for greener pasture abroad not to do it cos not everybody got business idea and everybody can't be a boss.
Some will live all their life on pay cheque while some is destined to be d boss. That's life.

I'm making an assumption -- a near assertion -- a suspicion as confirmed by many similar cases here on Nairaland, that people claim to have friends who did this and that, when in most cases, these are people they barely know-- stories they barely have verifiable details of -- just merely what they heard from A or B. For example, I know a girl who graduated from a college here in the US, then, moved briefly to Nigeria, and then, to Ireland where she currently resides. However, I wouldn't claim that she is my friend, or that I have verifiable details of the circumstances that necessitated such moves. Many, on here, in my situation, would say, I have a friend who moved from the US to Ireland for so and so reasons . This is often misleading.

This has always been happening and it will continue to happen. My point is - there are a lot of immigrant professionals working in UK, Canada, US at the very top of their careers, these are the people that should be role models. How did they get there? What did they study? Which networks did they join? What choices can I make right now to get to where they are in their careers? However, rather than make these choices, the average immigrant who starts an unskilled job will think of getting married and raising a family simply due to cultural pressure. I have noticed that the singular act of raising a family whilst in an unskilled role severely diminishes your capacity to explore better job options.

I see a lot of Irish healthcare and engineering jobs being advertised in the UK, because there seems to be a skills deficit in Ireland. Ireland currently is one of the fastest growing economies in Europe. Ireland needs doctors, senior academics, nurses, pharmacists, dentist, engineers etc. An immigrant who is qualified in any of these areas will not struggle to get a job over there regardless of whatever racism there is. Racism is nothing compared to what a Nigerian who grew up in Nigeria has gone through.
