Dear nairalanders,
What is the best route from Lagos to Abuja (Karu-Nyanyan)?
I and my wife are planning to attend my brother in-law's wedding and we intend to drive.
Thank you in advance.

Drive down to Abuja first through Ibadan et al..finding Karu from any part of Abuja is pretty easy..

Why go through the stress of driving for over 10hrs when you can simply take a flight for less than 1hr, or at least take public road transport which doesn't require you to remain alert for the entire journey?

The driving to Abuja is the issue.
I've passed the Ibadan-Akure-Owo-Okene-Lokoja in the past.
Seems the Ore-Benin-Owo-Okene-Lokoja is now preferred by transporters. Not sure why this is so.

My car is part of the logistics for the wedding. Thanks for your concern too.

That's some route there just incase you aren't mistaken.

If indeed the above route is how transporters now go according to you....I'd advice you proceed on the Ekpoma...Auchi...Okene....Lokoja....Abuja route instead.
