Congrats daviesblaze I contested for this same event in Lekki. I repped Delta state. It was a mad ass fun show and a good platform to jump-off from in pursuit of a career.

HINT: the awards are meaningless if you have zero plans of pushing your career as a Fitness coach or Fitness Model.

And the sad truth is, Male Modelling in Nigeria is dead in the water from the word 'go' as the income isn't quite attractive

Male modelling the world over, isn't very big. Male models are a rare breed and do not receive half the appreciation their female counterparts get. Janice Dickinson once compared a male model to an accessory for the female model.

In Nigeria, particularly, modeling in general, is quite low on the ladder as far as entertainment goes, so, it follows, that male modeling won't be profitable.

A lot of male models, veer into other sectors, like fitness, and sometimes, acting and presenting. The modeling thing is just a side gig, not an actual job.

pls read about the history of bodybuilding and gay culture.

sexuality has a lot to do with modelling.. if it has nothing to do with it..then how come many male models are gay?

I do agree with you on the relationship between bodybuilding and gay culture but it's simply an industry not a gay industry same with fashion and yes, I know they are both run by powerful gay individuals but your career doesn't define your sexuality, if you think being a model can alter your sexuality then you are really insecure, you probably aren't straight then, because a straight man will always be a straight man irrespective of the circumstances and career field

it is a gay industry, the founders of the industry were gays that is why they are much there, inbetween i dont know why the personal attack, i thought we were talking about the industry not me and who told you i was insecure, i am writing about reality in the industry

being a model can not alter your sexuality but surely the gay lifestyle they practise there can affect and influence you especially when the individual is desperate for success and fame.
