That's a sad part of the inefficiency of our examination boards. They need to upgrade themselves.

They should cancel the paper and apologise to the students. Infact, if such mistake is seen in their past papers, they should recall them and award every student a pass or credit. Lol.

Lol.. The test development department gooved big time. I have been trying to spot where the mistake came from before they got that answer,couldnt see.

At resonant Xc = XL
fr = 1/(2π (√LC))

= 1/(2π(√25000e-12))
= 1006hz

thats how they test durlard like you, it was for example, it doesn't really the option choose is correct, they just showed you how to shade ur answer, now you wan show us you sabi physics. We don see you now

WAEC does that for illustration purposes where the main emphasis is on how to shade correctly and not whether they gave the correct answer to the sample or illustration question(s).

Have you thought why they still included the correct option (after you have worked) in the options? It means they know the answer and that's why it is there.

Keep defending them how come this is the only paper that the illustration is wrong,
Also check same paper for the diagram potentiometer question, they still did it for illustration abi,or you will say it is typo error.

sir, when i did WAEC about 23 years ago, in one of the questions the answer was not in the options. i wrote it on the paper.

so u can know it could be a real issue on marks

The problem is with the physics department. Back in the days, whenever we submitted mathematics multiple choice questions to WAEC, It usually goes through thorough vetting stage before going public

The truth of the matter is we can easily say these people are humans and its human to err. However, in Nigeria's case, it is not that simple. As long as we continue to sideline credible people, recruit and admit based on man-know-man, we'll keep on having mistakes like these in WAEC and UTME, leading to further confusion on the part of brilliant and diligent students. So help us God.

many students have asked this question, in waec and jamb, what if the answer is not in the option what should i do? i always reasure them to trust the exam body the will be the correct answer in the option, but now i think they will start asking a new question, like what if weac don't know the correct answer?, and many more, this call for serious concern, now i will no longer defend them again,
