Relationship Between Word & Spirit, Believers Must Be Careful What They Believe


John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Word and Spirit are closely related, these often are confused by the brethren because they are tied. Words are enlivened by the Spirit, and spirit carries or flows with the word. When a word is released, it flows forth with its spirit to make it active and effective. Every understandable word has its spirit, either satanic or scriptural, for this reason we must be careful what we believe lest we receive a wrong spirit. Words fully becomes spirit and gives life or death to man when he believes them in his heart. This is why the gospel must be preached in words, that men might receive the Spirit of the gospel, Holy Ghost, by believing the gospel message in their heart. The words of our Lord Jesus are spirit, and gives life, in the sense that, if anyone receives this spirit or word they shall become the very life such lives. The saying that whatever man feeds himself, that he becomes is very accurate. For as words are received or believed, the spirit of man begins to act on them and man begins to live according to the words. If the believer believes a lie, he yields ground to the devil to afflict him. Let every believer be careful of what he or she believes, because words carry spirits, and if spirits be received into man, he is transformed and acts according to the spirit received. Those who meditate on pornographic material are a good example, for these receive pervert spirits, expressions, words or images, hence lust for more experience, and this spirit leaves not but by serious battle. When Paul warned his brethren of receiving another spirit, he was verily speaking about receiving another words contrary to God's word, for words carry spirits and spirits use words. 2 Corinthians 11:4; For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, And also, Galatians 1:8; But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. The apostle was fully aware of the danger in receiving words which are contrary to the truth of God, be it preaching or admonition. No matter how noble and knowledgeable the speaker might be or how good is a truth, if it contradicts God's word it must be immediately discarded, including our cultures, religions, creeds and mentalities, these falsehoods must be screened, rejected and replaced by scriptural knowledge alone.

If we believe a lie from the devil we receive another spirits, and we put our self at grave risk. When man receives an information into his conscious mind, after a while this information is passed into the subconscious mind and heart, at this point man acts on this information and he is in trouble. If we are filled with satanic information, we are satanic in deeds, even though we could claim to be believers. We could feed ourselves with worldly information, but we must be aware that we are on the verge of being possessed by satanic spirits if we should believe their lies, the same way we received the Holy Ghost by believing the gospel. If demons cannot possess the believer's spirit because the Holy Ghost already lives there, they will for sure seize every opportunity to possess his soul and body. These spirits press their words forcefully into man's heart by movies, music, novels, entertainment, neighbors and other means through which we are informed. Hence, the believer must judge every word in light of scripture before he believes them (Philippians 4: 8 ). If the believer who still derive pleasure in worldly discussions, music, images, views, ideas, movies shall take note, he would realise that his mind is often attacked by satanic spirits, he most times is unable to rule his emotions, he couldn't think what he desires when he wills, he couldn't concentrate on a matter at once he often gets carried away, sometimes his mind auto plays these songs already implanted in his subconscious mind and he is unable to stop them, other times his mind runs wild, he has an unstable emotion, he can hardly understand scripture because his heart is filled with many other things, his mind is not renewed, he receives demonic voices echoing into his mind to influence his decision, voices play in his head sometimes very loudly that he can't think, he forgets crucial information at crucial times, confusing images flashing across his mind randomly then he calls it revelation, he distorts the teachings of scripture, he abruptly receives supernatural suggestions in the mind, he can hardly discern the will of God in his situations, he suddenly gets weakened in his body other times he is punished with light headaches, he is filled with religious knowledge, he has an unstable emotion, he communes with demons through his mind thinking he chats with God, he feels sharp pains in parts of his body especially the waist and the chest, he receives distracting thoughts during meditation and prayer, he gets pinched at times in his heart, these are all assaults of demonic spirits due to exposing oneself to their information, receiving and believing them. This wrong or false information does in the believer influences his character also, because men acts on what they believe to be truth and out of the abundance of heart man acts and speaks. Such mentality developed to believe the lies of the devil through partaking in worldly activities as these is unfruitful to God. However, this set of Christians are useless to God.

Has the Word preeminence in our hearts? Information is only conquered by information, we can only get rid of Satan's lies by God's truth. If any man will be free from these things he must deny himself of worldly pleasures and cling to the word of God, that it might shape his mentality, renew his mind and equip him with every necessity to counter every satanic schemes from time to time. Has the believer not been attacked enough by those wicked spirits? Satan hides in plain sight but highest percentage of believers can't see him, his Influence is everywhere expressed through the noblest of advises and men also through music and movies, but only those who are immersed in the power of the Word can detect his suggestions and rebuke his deeds, and refuse to partake of his things. If any desire this victory, let such be influenced and consumed by the word of God that all his conversation must spring from the word, this way is man free from assaults of Satan. Our minds must meditate on the word from time to time and hearts must be filled with the word to be free from Satan's grip. If the believer shall subject himself to God's word in place of worldly activities, he would easily at first glance detect false teachings and he shall reject them. If any man brings a lie, this also shall he reject. The word of God alone will he confess, not poverty, not sickness, not affliction, not pain, but what God says, for he is full of the word. Our only escape route from this satanic system is to get wont to God's word feeding, meditating on it day and night. Is there any man willing to undertake this journey of entering into the pleasure of God's presence by His word? This is where peace and joy of the Lord is perfected! Let such be aware that to touch God's word is to touch God's Spirit, and every hearty visit to the Word is a visit to God Himself. Will anyone be filled with the Holy Ghost without first being filled with the Word? Not in any way. Lest such deceives himself, he must first be filled with the word!

Have ye not heard, Word and Spirit are One?
Word leads to Spirit and Spirit leads to Word. Faith (Spirit) comes by hearing and No one can come unto me (Christ the Word) unless the Father calls him.

No. In fact, you may have been deceived for believing it is impossible for you to be deceived. That's the way demons lock you up from receiving the truth, by convincing you, "you now have all the truth." There are levels of deception of demons for different levels or classes of believers. The babe Christian has a lie he must battle with, so is the most matured believer. If the most knowledgeable believer does not take caution, he could already be deceived before he knows. We all must stick to the simplicity of scripture. You will have to know what subtility means.
