Of which 300 is not even the best use of Zack Snyder's slo motion. The best was Judge Dredd and Watchmen. Apparently, he became better at it.

Before 300, there was hard boiled. A movie where some of the shootout scenes were in slow mo. On

Who Hard Boiled epp? We're talking of movies that influenced other movies here. Snyder would never have attempted his slowmo in his other films if 300 hadn't been a resounding success. His other film, Watchmen, and Pete Travis ' Dredd, and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes owe a lot to 300.

Go and read about "bullet time" filming technique from the matrix.

300 visuals were even criticised by the critics.

You a comparing a film (the matrix) the revolutionised other films, to 300, a film that was panned by critics in its early release?

You are talking about slow motion and I will tell you that the matrix has one of the best or.the best slow motion techniques known to Hollywood.

Even in some top ten lists about slow motion scenes in movies, 300 does not make it.
Matrix is always in such lists.

https://gizmodo.com/the-top-10-slow-motion-shots-of-all-time-1645966147/amp

Look at the kind of site you're quoting. I wonder if you've ever heard of the site in your life till you Googled few minutes ago.

I'm not doubting about The Matrix revolutionizing about how modern films were made. That's not the bone of contention. I also know about the bullet time technique and how many cameras it took to achieve it; I'm saying that 300 had more of those slow motion scenes/techniques/visuals than The Matrix. It formed the foundation of ALL the action scenes in 300. You can't say the same for Matrix

I thought you were yanking his chain, but my God, you were flipping serious! shocked

- First and foremost, Matrix and 300 used slowmo differently. Where as 300 embellished on it, Matrix was matter of fact about it, mainly because it has a lot going on. Hence, when people think of Matrix, slowmo is usually not the first thought that pop into their head, where as 300 is synonymous with slowmo action scenes, for it's the loudest part of it.

- Second, Gizmodo is an unreliable source for this sort of thing. If you want a top 10 list look for Thrillist, Indiewire, Pastemagazine, and Esquire.

- Third, according to Thrillist, 300 is the most influencial movie of the new millenium

- Fourth, No one is equating Matrix to 300. They are two completely different movies

So what is your point?

300 is not near one of the best examples of Zack Snyders slow motion technique.

Never put 300 and the matrix in the same sentence again.

It's probably staged. I think America got insecure about the Soviet surpassing them in technology, so they elaborately staged a moon landing to level the playing field. I could be wrong though, but it's definitely a possibility.

You're just arguing all over the place without a focused narrative.

Koice was taking about visuals and put Matrix amongst the films that revolutionized movies visuals.

In that list as well which 300 was in, Koice was hammering on its slow-motion laden style of action scenes which was distinct, and which other movies copied afterwards, movies like Dredd, Sherlock Holmes, etc.

The bone of contention was clear, nobody was comparing Matrix and 300 except you.

Both have contributions their different styles brought to movie making. That's what we've been try na tell you.

When people think slow mo, 300 is never the thought in anyone's head. It was not perfected in that movie. Even among Zack Snyders movies 300 ranks slowly. In fact cinefix on YouTube picked watchmen and judge dredd out of Zack Snyders movies and not 300.

When people think of slow motion, no one thinks of 300. The first they think of is the matrix bullet time. The technique is different and many films haven't still gotten it right.

My issue is that you are over hyping 300. I never forgot the slow motion scenes Iin Judge Dredd and the Matrix but i can barely remember 300. The only thing i remember from 300 was the king kicking the black guy into the abyss....not because of the slow mo but because of the dialogue.

KoiceReloaded:

14 minutes.

Before 300, slow motion capture has never been used quite like that before. Matrix tried something like that, but it didn't catch on until Snyder applied the concept on 300. He improved the concept by focusing slowmo on specific action moments. The result; an eye popping and very stylish slowmo fight scenes visuals. It certainly left an impression.

The critics are on point with their criticisms of season 8 though.I never believed in a million years season 8 of GOT could be worse than season 7 but the shows' producers proved me wrong.Season 8 of GOT is nothing more than a high budget, glossy B-movie.All flash and no substance

Let's discuss GOT here how is it so bad?
Is it the plot? The script or the story line,
I need to know you are not criticizing it because the main stream media does.

As far as am concerned with the 5 episodes of season 8 I have watched so far, GOT season 8 is on point as far as we are talking GOT.

So I would like to know which aspect season 8 failed to live up to your expectations?

Obviously, your memory needs a revamp. Go and watch 300 again, bro. All the fight scenes were choke full of it. The slowmo emphasis on action flourishes made all the fight scenes very memorable.

About Judge Dredd... I can't recollect seeing any real slowmo on it, if at all. The remake on the other hand... the slowmo they used is reminiscent of 300.

Can you detail the possibility of faking the moon landing? How come after all these years no one among the scientists and astronauts has come forward to debunk the moon landing. How is it possible that the USA could be able to keep thousands of mouths shut?!

Dude, think with the brain your mama gave you, and stop bowing to your emotions. I know you're one of those that swallow everything the western media feeds you, but every now and then, try to think, okay?

There has been no definitive proof that America went to the moon. A lot of people are questioning it right now. We are in the 21st century, and no country apart from America has gone to moon since. Why? It's simple, the technology hasn't been perfected. Yet, somehow, even before IBM invented a computer chip, America went to the moon? How? Think about it. It's hard to believe is all I'm saying.

The only way we can truly know that America landed on the Moon is if another country go there and see the American flag. Until then, it will serve you well to claw out of America's ass and think like someone with a brain.

You're putting the cart before the horse.

Koice dropped HIS opinion on top 10 visually stunning movies of their generation. Both 300 and Matrix was on the list. There were no comparisons or hierarchy to rate which is more stunning. He's just listing them randomly and their impacts on other movies after them. He even explained the different influences both movies had in his initial post. Go check it out, it's still there.

Then Gmajor_ came online to say that 300 had no stunning visuals, that's when Koice tried to explain what influence a new perfectly created slowmo style of action sequences from 300 had on subsequent films like Spartacus: Gods of The Arena, Dredd remake etc. He's focusing on the slowmo fight style which wasn't so evident in any film before 300. It was so much thst it took 14 minutes of the entire film. State movies before 300 that had so much slowmo style of action in them like 300 before 300 came out.

It's during the debate that Koice tried to explain that Matrix had the style but 300 took to up a notch. There was never a comparison, just an explanation.

You're the one bringing up a comparison that's non-existent.

Hello house, I noticed that airtel has changed their night browsing airtime plan from N25 for 500mb to N25 for 250mb. The terrible part is that the plan itself is only about 150mb and not the 250mb they are deducting money for. Has anyone noticed this anomaly? Please advise which network and plan can I switch to for movies/series download. Thanks

I have been buying my data from a 3rd party, but of late you can get 3gb for 1500 on mtn (valid for 30 days) using MyMTN app, But if Glo network is blazing in your area, it should be your best bet.
you can browse the phone section to find the cheapest data seller in that section.
