I'm not talking corolla and elantra. You used to agree on this forum that luxury cars will attract more offline trips.

If I said luxury cars ,it will be definitely on uber platform... maybe that is what I meant by luxury part.. But that will have to be in conjuction with uber.. Luxury cars no be beans or .. They cost more to clear o

All these you mentioned are not recommended. Look for a trusted dealer to buy a London used flagship phone. Samsung s6 up or iPhone 6 up

LG G5 London used. Between 25k to 28k depending on how neat and how good you are at bargaining.

I will mention this, then I will not respond for another 24hrs.

doing the same thing and expecting a different result is what a greater percentage of vehicle owners and drivers are currently doing.

Driving longer hours and making less cash has become the norm
Rental is also on the decline. Currently 20-30k

Now this thread/its drivers contribute to less than 1percent of the Ehailing community (most partners/drivers don't know Nairaland) so all the noise we making here is for our own pockets.

As an investor and a driver let's think out of the Box for a minute.

Competing with already laid down structure is a waste of time. The Ehailing companies have figured out that they make more money with more riders, and more riders with lower fares.

Vehicle quality is dropping and so are drivers cheesy

New strategy

Target clients who need a safe clean luxurious platform, and are willing to pay willing to pay commensurate Naira in return for this service.

Riders in this class are usually very coordinated people who schedule their trips, that way you can plan.

riders in this category usually need these vehicles for short trips and will not take advantage of you and run you for 12hrs

riders in this category are usually very pleasurable intellectuals, and unlike the olosho's on Ehailing their gist de open doors to same type of riders.

I can go on, but need to work.

For the Vehicle owner, vehicle does not get beaten up it covers very reasonable distances weekly which in turn means lower maintenance costs.

for the driver, fewer driving Hours, meeting better connects, better pay.

Its a win win if you have the capital to invest.

Many driver-owners I know have been doing this for a while now. Bringing the idea to the public is not too bad cos many people here can't afford 2010+ vehicles. The path will be favorable until ex-bricklayers & Yankee big daddy comes in

ok have been a silent reader since signing up ealier this year on this thread, I'm curious to ask some noticabe questions.

How come Gazzuzz with all that automobil knowledge is so full of pride and some selected few kiss his a zz? (diportivo, thebigkendo, thecar, kingreign and some others to name a few)

How come only a man with the moniker dru23 is always the same person capable of putting Gazzuzz in his place along with Gazzuzz disciples?

Only 3 moniker i know here stood up to Gazzuzz, Eyinne, Dru23 and Damilolar but Damilolar ends up bowing to him, Eyinne threaten him and left the thread probably gave up on the ehailing business and Dru23 just have a way of working him.

Why is with Dru23 and the memes?

The difference between Dru23 and Gazzuzz is, Dru is more optimistic with life and Gazzuzz is just down to reality. Dru loves Ehailing and sees it as fun not even business and Gazzuzz loves to trade more and get that quick profit then move to the next deal. So it's like there is a disconnect when the former (a long term investor) meets with the later (a short term quick profit investor).

Why does Dru23 always speak for drivers or quick to condemn them when he hasn't been on the road to experience what drivers pass through?

The guy with the moniker Franksam use to talk like Dru until he started driving and his orientation about drivers changed.

Speaking of Franksam2009, why does Franksam and his partner in crime eherbal connive to bully one foul mouth guy who always insults when he gets his point across, funny enough the guy always makes a point but he curses too much, i think his moniker starts with B or so.

Why do other drivers feel the need to bully Jesusson and I trust Jesusson to always have all answers to whatever question thrown at him lol.

I love this thread, Always makes me crack up. I think Dru is the only motivational speaker on thread but he talks too much, If you rely on Gazzuzz and some other few naysayers, the fence gang, sorry is your name, Same people who condemns the job, wakes up in the morning to still row thier boat. And the funny thing, Gazzuzz condemns ehailing and go to his job leaving you stuck in some mixed up sentimental emotions towards your job lol

we all know the Nigeria terrain is bad for business, Nigeria hasn't been good, it's never rosy anywhere due to the nature of capitalism, Government negligence towards the ehailing sector makes it worse, who cares when the app company are paying thier taxes, that's what the government is after not the welfare of the citizens.

Equally are bad cars too .. Any owner given out tokunbo cars for 25k weekly will need to evaluate is brain cells. Nairaland is not a place to get drivers o .... Have been on ground for a month now ,and every uber ride I took . I always ask if the know nairaland, more than 80% said no .. My three years doing uber have gotten about three drivers from nairaland.. One is very well known and still owes me over 100k till now, the second one was good ,paid on time.. And thinks he knows it all. The third one is a female. The best driver I have so far, at times I ask her if she goes on nairaland again.. She laughs and said no .she tells me to much nonsense goes on nairaland... now that been said, my cars sales are not from nairaland either, I ask a friend that advertise cars on nairaland, if he has gotten buyers from nairaland. He said nairaland people no get money, that most are broke.. So I switch my car sales to Jijii ,and behold I sold my car on Jijii... The only thing nairaland has help me in terms of sales, is my Mobil 1 extended performance engine oil .. That I will give nairaland the credit for ....anything else from that is all rubbish. Nairaland is not a place to look for drivers, anybody taking nairaland serious is doing it at his own perils ... I only use nairaland has a research study to know what is going on and than use that to compare what is on the road.. I also have people that are driving and I ask questions and get feedback from.... I don't ask my own drivers any time of uber questions like how work etc .. Once u start doing that, you will start to hear complain this and that.. As long as they pay me their rental than we are good. .Most of the critics better yet all the critics are mostly drivers that want to push their own narrative.. They complain about day and nite. But they still wake up in the morning to do uber.. Uber is not my only source of income o, .. And also you don't hear me asking or looking for a mechanic like you people do .. Never once did I needed a mechanic advice on nairaland, never once at all ... if my own mechanic can't fix something in my car ,which is very rare, I will tell my driver to take the car to Radauto.. Have used them in the past, they are expensive but at least they get the job done.. I will rather my hard earn money on qualify mechanics at Radauto than any nairaland mechanic .... Not saying there aren't any good nairaland mechanics o ,but am not ready to take that chance at all .. .. This is will be my last topic on this subject, nairaland is not a place to look for drivers or even sale cars ,it is a form of free advert o ....

IF YOU USE AN ELANTRA WITH A 2.0 LITER ENGINE, DO NOT PAY MORE THAN 20K RENTAL.

If you change engine oil and oil filter do not pay more than 500-1000naira.i have mechanic in ogudu ojota that does my fixing for the past 3 years in this business.

Change of brake pad, all those underneath work do not pay more than 1000-1500.

If you pay beyond what other mechanics are charging that's the reason u not making gain.

3years in this business is not 3days.

If you want to buy a car, I have a mechanic that charge 5k, do not pay 20k to this greedy guy that is full of manipulation. He just want to rip you off and take advantage of you.

Wake up guy and smell the fish...Ehailing was not designed for rentals but we Nigerians we too get Agidi and we don't want to hear the truth. How realistic and for how long do you think drivers want to be paying 30k or now 25k weekly and keeping at best 10k weekly only to themselves. It is even better if it is HP but not all these silly killer throat HP am talking company HP where you have a car and you pay 50-60k monthly for 24 months max...But since Rentals has become a source of livelihood for some what can we do but hope for the best but knowing the inevitable.

Saturated? No! I don't think so.

Uber still pay, we drivers are just too greedy. We want to manipulate owners and gain advantage.

I make 20k weekly and I'm very comfortable with my salary.

Offline trip plus Uber earning makes Uber a better place to be.

More reasonable people are joining this thread, it was drivers against any car owner.

Most tenants in Lagos don't like to pay house rent, tell them to go and buy land and build, they won't, but they won't know the sacrifice it takes to build a house.

You shall live long bro
