Good day good spirited nairalanders,

My wife and I decided to leave our family house and locate elsewhere within my City as our children are growing up.

Now, we are considering whether it will be better to rent a house or constuct a 2 bedroom apartment, since we have a plot of land I bought at Irete since 2015.

Please, I need a good quantity surveyor or an experienced builder to enlighten me on the :

1) general cost of constructing a 2-bedroom apartment (2 toilets, kitchen and parlor)

2) The quantity of blocks I'll be needing to achieve my aim (6 inches or 5, which is better)

3) The number of bags of cement that I'll need to complete the block work, and plastering

4) Trips of sand that I'll need.

This is to help me make an informed decision.
