just any good laptop will do bro... for a starter with a 2 to 4 gig Ram ain't bad.. but when u set up for commercial purpose, u will need something better to prevent unnecessary freezing and delay in your workflow ... after the laptop... you need a Daw(digital audio work station) software ..there are lot of good ones out there but trust me, to safe yourself from unnecessary headache and confusion, the one with the most friendly interface is " fruity loops"(FL studio) ..and that's the only thing you will be needing for now.. if you get money..you can buy a midi controller keyboard as well but if not, nothing spoil.. you can still learn alot and make decent music til you can get it.
