NCC is a very corrupt FG agency and I wonder why the Consumer protection board is just keeping quiet while the masses are being ridden upon by all these telecommunication companies. NCC is an accomplice in the plot to ripoff Nigerians of their hard earned money.

Glo is the worst cheat! They give you with right hand and collect with the left. All of them are corporate thieves embarassed

5g at what cost. Even 4g is not either available or yet to be stable in most part country due lack of infrastructure and human capacity from the service provider stand point. Abeg NCC is not yet ready to tell Nigerians the truth! grin

You guys might not believe it but Nigeria has a faster mobile data than some part of USA. Fact is that most of them Yankee people use Wi-Fi but 80-90% here are on mobile. I get close to 2MB/sec on Glo which is equivalent to 16mb/sec on H+

Now check the speed and we are on par and even better than many countries. But as usual, we don't expect anything good to come out of Nigeria and are quick to rubbish whatever thing we have

You may be the only one in Nigeria getting close to 2MB/sec speed.

You are disingenuous with your comment and comparison.

I don’t know the part of USA that you are referring to, can you be more specific on the names of those US cities, communities or county?

Yes, because of greater population density in the US in metro areas compare to Nigeria, their are more technologies deployed to offload the macro network e.g. femtocell, WI-FI, metrocell, etc; but to say Nigeria situation is better is not true, unless you are comparing isolated remote uninhabitable areas in the USA....I also hope, when you do your comparison, you also use similar areas in Nigeria, e.g. isolated remote uninhabitable areas in Nigeria as well.

I get 3-4mb when i was using glo. The problem is most of you people live in rural areas. Its thesame in America in rural areas, signal and data speed is poor. You people don't read far and wide. You don't read discussions from other internationals. Hollywood has blinded you people thinking everything is perfect in America. Jeez!!! The ignorance on this thread.

With same H+ speed rate.

No difference between 4g and 3g, for browsing in Nigeria. The only difference, your phone just get hotter.

I was browsing with full 4gLTE signal yesterday and the speed is just like 3g.
4g is a 3g in disguise here... Now they want to resell 3g as 5g to us again.
All this "G" you people are using. I no understand.
I can watch videos on YouTube. I think I was doing this with 3g phone. I used iPhone 4s some 3 years ago and the YouTube was clear and ok.

Sometime it is better you master the art of walking before running.
Some hippopotamus will start hippoppoteaching us how far some countries have gone ahead, neglecting the fact that Nigeria problem is more of mentality than technology.

A nation incapable of maintaining physical road network is not qualify to use imported 2G invisible network, let alone 5G.

Let's see if it will reduce Lagos road traffics and flooding.

NONSENSE

1Megabyte (MB) = 8Megabits (Mb)

So your 2MBps = 16Mbps

There is a difference between MB and Mb. Nothing like mb undecided

This is my own problem and not the 4G or 5G y'all talking about angry
